Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

1 dpo. Doesn't my RHR look fabulous? Unfortunately I'm sick with a cold. 😞 Only dtd twice at 2,5 days and 4 days prior to ovulation. I'm almost counting myself out at this point 😩

LarasMama · 07/12/2021 07:16

Congratulations @Juno231 ❤️ Such wonderful news! What were your symptoms?

LS2020 · 05/12/2021 17:14

@gezelligheid glad to hear you’re getting on well and all was ok with midwife appointment. I’m high risk too but tbh not found anything too extra or onerous at the minute. Only thing was consultant call after 12 week scan which was a doctor telling me a bunch of things I already know like eat well and do exercise 😂

Omg @Juno231 I was thinking of you the other day and wondering if you’d started the IVF - congratulations!!!!!! ❤️❤️ Really really hope this is your one, keep well and so excited to have you on this journey with me 🥰

GlassLily · 05/12/2021 11:20

@Juno231 omg congratulations!!!! What a long awaited bfp. How are you feeling? I'm so happy for you. Fingers crossed for a lovely sticky bean ❤️

mumof23188 · 04/12/2021 10:38

@Juno231 oh my gosh. Wow!! Huge congratulations ❤️. So so happy for you 🥰

Juno231 · 03/12/2021 21:55

Hi ladies!

Glad you're doing well at 17 weeks @LS2020

@gezelligheid shame about the higher risk but I'm glad you'll get to see baba on a regular basis!

I'm 11dpo, two years in to my TTC journey and due IVF next month. I've been sick as a dog for the past 9 days or so which has most likely messed with my RHR but ladies... I got a BFP yesterday! Let's hope it sticks 🤞

Hello @LS2020 I had my booking appointment yesterday. Higher risk because of my BMI and because I had pre eclampsia previously, so lots of extra appointments and scans! Our 12 week scan date should come through the post in a few days, but we saw a heartbeat at our early viability scan 2 weeks ago so I'm hopeful!

Nauseous and exhausted, but other than that I'm good! Grin

I hope you're all doing well guys, and hopefully lots more BFPs for Christmas

LS2020 · 03/12/2021 20:40

Hi everyone, hope you’re all well, fab to see some BFPs ❤️ 17 weeks and plodding along, little bump is out now and just hoping can have some kicks soon 🤞🏻

@gezelligheid how are you doing?

@GlassLily assuming you did not explode 😂 my RHR is so boring! I’m barely above normal cycle levels 🤷‍♀️

GlassLily · 25/11/2021 08:57

@Rocky39 interesting! Any sign of AF yet? How many DPO are you? When I've had ups and downs like that, they've generally been caused by drinking alcohol, illness, or vaccinations, could that explain it?

Rocky39 · 22/11/2021 13:31

Hello! I have lurking on here a while and thought I'd ask you rhr experts some advice. What is going on with my rhr this month.? AF was due over the weekend but no sign yet, previous months my rhr had an obvious decline before AF but this month its gone up down up down when if should just be down? 🤔 confident I'm not pregnant but curious if anyone else has experienced this before?

Oh wow! That’s so reassuring @gezelligheid! And huge congratulations to you - your scan looks great for 7 weeks!

gezelligheid · 21/11/2021 20:42

@mrsS21 I've taken my fitbit off now but after ovulation I had a big dip too and I'm now almost 7 weeks pregnant, everything is going well. Here's my chart, yellow O is ovulation, red arrow is bfp Grin

Thanks ever so much 🥰 I’m feeling over the moon today! I’m 12dpo, period was due tomorrow.
So reassuring that it’s springing back to ovulation levels :) happy Sunday!

GlassLily · 21/11/2021 20:00

@mrsS21 Ah brilliant!! Congratulations on your bfp! And great that rhr is bouncing back too Smile maybe just a big implantation dip, or maybe dropped due to some other factor. Lovely line, how many dpo are you now?

mrsS21 · 21/11/2021 16:41

Just a little update :) thought I’d share, as I really thought this wasn’t my cycle. I hadn’t really had symptoms, and my RHR was dropping back off up to Friday evening. But had a faint positive Friday night, started with pinching feeling overnight, then feeling nauseous today. Lovely strong positive this afternoon 🥰

Thank you @GlassLily, really appreciate you coming back to me. I’ve had a spike back up by 3 or 4 bpm since about 24hrs ago…so I guess I’ll just have to be patient! Had a positive on frer Friday night, so keeping everything crossed!

GlassLily · 20/11/2021 22:36

@mrsS21 For my BFPs, the only time it has dropped back below ovulation level is when it's been a CP, sorry to not have a more hopeful story! Rhr isn't the be all and end all, so a big drop doesn't necessarily mean you won't get a BFP and healthy pregnancy, there are plenty of other factors at play. But still, I wouldn't take too much hope from a chart with a big drop like that. Any other possible bfp symptoms?

mrsS21 · 19/11/2021 20:10

Good evening ladies, I’ve followed this thread for quite some time and wondered if anyone had any reassurance… we followed smep this month and I’ve been so excited feeling like it could really be our month. My question is, for anyone who’s had bfp’s, did RHR always stay elevated after O, or did it dip and pick back up?
Feeling like my RHR is pretty much at lowest rate, but trying to hold out hope we could still be in with a chance! The purple arrow is my O day, between 8/9th November. Any thoughts?

@gezelligheid Lovely, congratulations! You must be so relieved. And great to get another one next week! So many scans Grin

How are we all getting on, any interesting RHR charts? I've been looking at HRV and breathing rate on Fitbit and wondering if that is affected too...

gezelligheid · 16/11/2021 18:59

I have to go back for another scan on November 25th but the scan today shows that baby is growing in the right place! Such a relief after my ectopic last year! The sonographer said although I'm 6 weeks from LMP, I'm looking more like just on/approaching 5 weeks Smile

GlassLily · 13/11/2021 21:59

Has anyone got an idea of the highest their rhr has got above normal AF rate when pregnant? Mine has skyrocketed in the last few days and is now about 26bpm higher than AF rate, I'm 28 weeks and I'm a bit worried my heart might explode?!

GlassLily · 13/11/2021 21:56

@gezelligheid oh wow that's great, so exciting to see the baby again so soon! So pleased for you and your little blob ❤️

Juno231 · 13/11/2021 18:03

@gezelligheid fantastic news! I'm so pleased for you 😁 keep us posted on Monday!

Just got the blood results for my repeat tests, they've more than doubled so they're happy with that Grin they want us to come back on Monday for another scan, they said because my hcg has risen they should be able to see something by then Grin

GlassLily · 12/11/2021 23:45

@gezelligheid wow that's great! So happy for you. Relax as much as you can! Hope your nausea doesn't get any worse.
