Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

See for those of you that are struggling with sickness.....ice cold original lucozade or mainly ice cold can of irn bru were my saviours. I had HG up until about 16 weeks and its brutal.
I still watch this thread and ita so lovely to see how many BFP people have got. Hope it happens for the rest of you ladies as you were a huge support to me when i was TTC!
My RHR has increased by 20bpm 🤯 over the course of this pregnancy, it's madness!

NJOBX · 26/05/2021 10:10

@GlassLily It’s so hard not to be nervous but just remember sometimes the symptoms kick in later on! I barely had any symptoms until week 7 and that’s when it all started 😷😂

GlassLily · 26/05/2021 10:07

@NJOBX @Bundaberg84 @Juno231 @mumof23188
Thanks everyone! Yes @Juno231 it's upside down hehe, not a dye stealer. I'm in a different time zone so still 11DPO. The time is dragging, I really want to get through this next week!

@NJOBX I'm already nervous that I don't feel as tired or bloated today.

Juno, it is not crazy to wonder....1 week ago I was wondering if my rise was just because I was unwell. It could be just the vaccine but equally it could be BFP 🤷🏼‍♀️ you never know!

NJOBX · 26/05/2021 09:56

@Juno231
Are you feeling any different from after your vaccine?
Good news that your RHR and temp have gone up! I have my fingers crossed for you, I hope it’s good news for you this month 🤞🏼
Are you going to wait until AF is due or test before? X

mumof23188 · 26/05/2021 09:38

@Juno231 very true! I’m lucky that I’ve managed to book my second jab in before my due date too. How was your jab? What one did you have? I’m so hopeful for you. When will you test? 🤞🤞

@GlassLily massive congratulations 🎉

Juno231 · 26/05/2021 09:34

@Bundaberg84 random q but are you fit? How low is your RHR? I've found that people with good heart health seem to have little to no fluctuations in their RHR so maybe that explains yours?

@GlassLily omg congratulations!!! Is your pic upside down btw? Cause a dye stealer at 11dpo would be unreal! How many DPO are you now? I really hope this is a sticky bean for you and thank you for the RHR. Interesting to see what a crazy rise you had.

@NJOBX had my jab yday! RHR has gone up two ticks from 68 to 70 so nothing drastic so far - although my temp went up by 0.1 this morning as well. It's crazy, I know it's all vaccine related by I am so so hopeful that it isn't...

Congratulations @GlassLily!

I have a question for all you rhr experts. I have a fitbit since forever, and I never paid too much attention to it while TTC. I saw a rise during what could have been implantation but now it's going back down. So I wondered what it looked like in the last cycles, and wow, there is simply no pattern to it. The only thing I might see is that the temp went down the day after AF arrived. And in the month I was pregnant (resulted in a chemical unfortunately) there was also nothing particular to see, other than rhr went down one or two days after I started bleeding.
So my question is (probably): is it normal that I cannot really read anything out of the rhr? Is it maybe my watch? I know that they say you can't use it as "medical information" but I feel like it should work out somehow?

NJOBX · 26/05/2021 08:18

@GlassLily
Bloating was one of my first symptoms as well! Not pleasant is it 😂

I really hope this is a sticky one for you, it’s sounding good so far! 🤞🏼

I said the same thing but now I’m fed up of being sick and headachey! It’s constant nausea and every smell going makes me want to hurl 😷 I am hoping it won’t be like this for the whole pregnancy 🙈

GlassLily · 25/05/2021 22:48

Oh and I'm so open to whatever pregnancy symptoms my body wants to throw at me, I thought this might never happen so I'm going to try and enjoy every minute of it.... Although I may eat my words if and when the sickness begins!

GlassLily · 25/05/2021 22:44

@NJOBX Thank you so much! I'm so incredibly bloated that I'm sure everyone at work must be wondering if I'm 6 months pregnant. Otherwise I'm just really tired, been yawning non stop all day and I've been going to bed at 8pm the last couple of nights! Hopefully that's because my body is so busy making this a sticky one 🤞🏻

This next week is going to be really nerve wracking, all my previous pregnancies I've started bleeding at about 4.5 weeks.

NJOBX · 25/05/2021 22:39

Oh @GlassLily CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! 🥳

Yes, try and stay positive as stress will not help and also with your high RHR that is a good sign! I am so happy for you, what lovely news ☺️
Do you have any symptoms yet? X

GlassLily · 25/05/2021 22:33

Interestingly, that first big jump was only 4DPO, and then it went up an extra 1bpm at 8DPO. I first thought the jump was too soon to mean anything! With my first 2 pregnancies (CP) it didn't go up any higher than usual until about 11DPO, and it wasn't this high.

(The line marked at 63 is ovulation)

Thank you @juno231! Sorry I only just realised what I did with the old thread when I tried to post again 🤣 oh the irony! Thank you for setting up a new one 🙂 I see the post number in the top left now. What's your appointment in June for? I'm always looking forward to the next appointment!

@NJOBX @Kona84 Good news after my rise last week, which I initially thought was due to me being unwell... BFP at 11DPO 🥳 so pleased!! After 3 CPs I am just trying to stay positive as this is the highest my RHR has ever been, and the line looks pretty good for 11DPO! So I'm letting myself get excited. Whether I worry or not won't change the outcome so why bother 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Juno231
I rushed to wilkos yesterday to buy myself a massive tub of pick n mix and have kept the sweets next to my bed to suck whenever I feel sick, it is working a little bit so hopefully it gets better soon! I’m very rarely poorly so it’s hard to get used to haha.

Yeah exactly, implantation is unlikely at this stage however I got my BFP 9DPO and my RHR was going down when I got that, it didn’t rise until afterwards! But your RHR may not be reliable after your vaccination like you say. How do you feel about the vaccination? My mum thinks I should ask about mine now but I’m not quite sure what to or what’s best now I’m pregnant x

Juno231 · 25/05/2021 11:14

@NJOBX oh dear that sounds very real and tangible now then! Hope it passes quickly for you - I hear snacking non stop will help with the nausea?

I'm 7DPO, jab this afternoon! RHR has dropped steadily since Saturday. It was 71 then, followed by 70, 69 and today at 68. I'm not worried about it dropping at this stage though as it's before any implantation could be happening. I suspect the jab will mean that I can't really look at RHR for the rest of the TWW though!

NJOBX · 25/05/2021 10:59

@Juno231
Oh yes, I’m not doing too good at the moment. Very bad nausea, headaches and basically anything that I smell makes me feel like I’m going to be sick. I have completely gone off some foods, I can’t even think about broccoli or peanut butter 😷

Are you 8DPO today? Have you had your vaccine yet? Have you noticed any difference with your RHR? x

Juno231 · 25/05/2021 10:54

@mumof23188 at least baba will have immunity too then!

@NJOBX have any symptoms started to kick in yet?

mumof23188 · 24/05/2021 11:01

Interesting about the rise in HR and jab! I’m going to book mine in for next week. Can’t help but feel a bit anxious about it!

Juno231 · 24/05/2021 08:54

@kona84 no worries - the other thread was kinda dying so I was debating whether or not to set up a new one. @glasslily asked about it last minute and here we are! I've tagged you here a couple of times but my guess is that you're not receiving notifications either?

Whoops I created a second part 6 thread didn’t realise this was here

Juno231 · 23/05/2021 21:46

@EveryMumDay oh that's cool - I'm getting my vaccine on Tuesday so now I now that when my rhr sky rockets at 8DPO it wont be bfp related 🤣

EveryMumDay · 23/05/2021 20:52

@Juno231 hello.

Hoping to get the appointment booked for Monday 7 June 2021. Will have to phone up tomorrow to chase the clinic as they never answered last Friday all day and left 2 voicemails.

I'm around 5-6dpo today and my BPM has sky rocketed to 85 as yesterday had the first vaccine dose of Pfizer. Yesterday, it was at 81 BPM.

Hope you get your answers on your appointment.

Juno231 · 23/05/2021 20:45

@kona84 we're here 👋

@EveryMumDay I'm sorry to hear about your MMC! When do you think you'll see the private clinic?

@LS2020 amazing! I've got an appointment on the 17th and I'm hoping it'll be to get the ball rolling on getting funding for IVF

5DPO here - stuck on 71 BPM for the third day in a row.

mumof23188 · 22/05/2021 09:30

@EveryMumDay thank you ☺️. There is definitely light at the end!

@LS2020 that’s brilliant news that you have been able to move it forward. Enjoy the spa weekend, that sounds bliss 😍

LS2020 · 21/05/2021 22:26

Oh gosh I can’t believe we’re on a new thread already! Putting a comment in so it shows on my watching ☺️

Hope all is well with everyone! I rang hospital to move my appointment for IVF referral up and they think should be end of June now so hoping it isn’t too much longer. Off for a spa weekend and going into my FW so who knows maybe this will keep me nice and relaxed
