Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Juno231 Yeah, she is nice and I’m seeing her for my bloods next Tuesday so I’m not calling her again, I don’t want to be annoying her ringing her all the time haha.

Oh that’s a good point! There’s so many things that could be affected isn’t there like the jab and the laparoscopy but your RHR has stayed up even before the jab so I still have my fingers crossed for you! Do you usually start AF with spotting or would that be unusual for you? X

Juno231 · 28/05/2021 10:35

@NJOBX I'm glad you had a midwife to call and who sounds like she's friendly enough!

You'd think it would be too early for AF but I can't help but wonder if the laparoscopy I had last cycle has made things go a bit wonky. I'll test tomorrow and see if anything is going on.

@Juno231 I have called my midwife and she said give it a few days and if there’s no bleeding or pains I should be okay 🤞🏼

Well that sounds promising for 10DPO! Surely it would be way too early for AF to show??

Juno231 · 28/05/2021 09:37

@NJOBX I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about but I'll let the pregnant ladies speak about symptoms with you xx

10DPO today and RHR has jumped to 75 but I did also go out for work drinks last night ha so god knows. However, I got up for a wee at 3am and had lots of pink and red blood and a few little clots. Still spotting this morning. Hoping it's a fluke and not AF showing up early...

@GlassLily
Both your chart and your line progression both look really good!!! Very, very promising ☺️

Can I ask whether anyone else’s symptoms just randomly got a lot lighter over night at 8 weeks? I’m really worried because I have woken up this morning and my sickness hasn’t been half as bad and my chart has really concerned me these last few days as a few of you already know and have told me it’ll all be okay 🙈... but yes, I am now worrying because my symptoms seem to have pretty much gone over night apart from headache!

Thanks for the chart @Kona84, I'm hoping I will need this in a few weeks for reassurance!

GlassLily · 28/05/2021 07:48

Thanks @Kona84, I'm a little less bloated now but still pretty huge.

@mumof23188 I'm feeling ok thanks, very nervous to get beyond AF time over the next few days. Trying to keep positive. But my line progression looks good, and my RHR is up again. Pics attached!

Congratulations @GlassLily
I have my fingers crossed for you.
The bloat for me was quite bad in the beginning I couldn’t button my jeans and was living in leggings.

I have attached my chart which shows my HR from beginning of March so 7 weeks onwards.
You can see how erratic it is up and down with some big drops too.

I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday and my symptoms so far have been nasal congestion (worse on the mornings) no nausea or sickness.
Fatigue, and a weekly hormone headache.

@mumof23188 I can’t believe you’re 25 weeks where is the time going!! I’m doing well thanks, it was so peaceful and my RHR has been nice and flat and calm for O week. Much less stressed since coming around for IVF too. Work is a bit much at the moment but I guess it’s keeping me busy.

@Juno231 it’s weird the reaction people are having but glad you’re feeling better already!
Those are some really beautiful lines, I really hope this is your month ❤️

Juno231 · 27/05/2021 11:18

Marked ovulation on the fitbit chart. Can't help but be a bit hopeful anyway as it's a gradual rise and not the drastic increase I was expecting from the jab 🤷‍♀️

@LS2020 @mumof23188 ha well I spoke too soon yday and the vaccine hit me after 24h! Had the jab at 4pm on Tuesday and 4pm yesterday I started getting really cold and shivery... Ended up getting completely wipe last evening/all night with (mild - so preggo ladies don't worry, it was literally 37.6 at its peak) fever, sweats, chills etc. Wasn't too terrible though and I woke up 100% recovered this morning.

RHR and temp are up again today but that's def the jab talking! Will post pics in a sec.

@Juno231 how are you feeling today? How’s RHR? I’m dreading feeling poorly from the jab.

@LS2020 I’m good thank you lovely, how are you? I’m 25 weeks today. How was your spa weekend? Ah wow, not long to wait. Would be great to get a referral 🤞🤞.

@justwant2beamum congratulations on the new job ☺️

@GlassLily how are you feeling?

justwant2beamum · 26/05/2021 21:38

Hello thanks for tag, I've just started a new job so I've not been on mn as much!
Also annoyed with my rhr for tricking me this month 😩 ah well cd6 again here...

LS2020 · 26/05/2021 20:46

@GlassLily congratulations lovely! Hope it’s a nice sticky bean for you 🤞🏻

@mumof23188 how you doing love? How many weeks are you?

@Juno231 so interesting on the jab! I’m waiting for age limit to be lowered still so hoping will get done soon. Got a letter from hospital that my follow up appointment is on the 7th so very excited! I kinda hope they refer me straight on to IVF rather than any hormones as they’ve said no sides with my blood work. Let me know how yours goes!

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/05/2021 16:46

@GlassLily congratulations I'm so loving seeing all the bfp on here!

My oh and I joined the gym yesterday so hopefully be getting a little fitter and may see a pattern in the rhr at some point - for now it's just all over the place!

EveryMumDay · 26/05/2021 13:07

Many congratulations @Alicespring and @GlassLily.

Great see BFP's news and rhr charts :)

NJOBX · 26/05/2021 11:08

@Alicespring
Ah yes, I can see how it drops at the beginning of December and then rises again and then in Feb it is pretty much all up and down isn’t it. I suppose there seems to be more of a pattern with our cycles during AF, ovulation and after conception rather than throughout pregnancy!

It’s always good to see other people’s charts to compare so thank you for sharing ☺️

Alicespring · 26/05/2021 11:02

@Juno231 @GlassLily aw thanks you guys 😊😊

@NJOBX mine dropped around 7 weeks if I remember rightly and plateaued for a few weeks. Same with when I was in the second trimester it didn't always increase and again I'm 32 weeks now and still it's all over the place but it's higher than AF levels. I've attached my charts but there is some data missing due to getting a new fitbit and I lost some of the stuff off my old one, but you can see how all over the place it is and not linear at all so I wouldn't worry!
(The one from December you can see the drop right at the beginning of the screen shot)

@Juno231
Honestly, thank goodness for this thread, what would I do without you all keeping me sane! Hahaha.
Thank you, I have been worrying each day when it goes down a lot x

Juno231 · 26/05/2021 10:58

@NJOBX week 8 is when the placenta forms so blood flow is diverted and RHR tends to drop. You'll be fine! :)

GlassLily · 26/05/2021 10:46

Yes @Alicespring thanks so much for starting this thread! Hope you're doing well!

NJOBX · 26/05/2021 10:44

@Alicespring
Thanks for the tips on the sickness! I have found that a glass of coke here and there has helped a bit, it must be the fizz in the drinks!
I’m hoping it doesn’t last until 16 weeks, I’m sick of it already haha. I am a bit concerned about my RHR as it has dropped down to nearly as low as AF level and I am now on week 8... has yours just carried on rising throughout?
How far along are you now? ☺️

@Juno231
I have heard a lot of people say they have a dead arm that lasts for a day so hopefully you will feel much better tomorrow! 🤞🏼 And if you’re feeling better tomorrow and your RHR keeps rising then who knows!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

GlassLily · 26/05/2021 10:44

@Juno231 thank you 🙂 I'm so amazed! I have so much hope that your BFP will come to you soon 💖 All the baby dust to you✨
I got a multipack of FRER and I just know I'm going to test every day! I can't help it. this first week is just too stressful! I've looked at the test so many times already just to check I didn't imagine it. I tested at 10DPO and got the faintest line and thought it was definitely positive.... Then later started to think I was going mad... but my 11DPO was so much darker, indisputable! 😃

Bundaberg84 · 26/05/2021 10:40

@Juno231 I'm quite fit but not as much as I used to be - as the gyms are closed, I'm not really into working out at home. I have a dog and walk daily though.

Juno231 · 26/05/2021 10:33

@Alicespring holy smokes, 20bpm! Thank you for starting the thread, I still think about you and hope you're well. It made me sad how long you were gone for during the middle part after your MC.

@NJOBX @mumof23188 super sore arm and a bit tired/achey but overall I feel like I got off lightly! I had Moderna which tbh I forgot existed as an option, I just assumed I'd get pfizer.

@GlassLily I'm super happy for you. Think you will test every now and then for progression or leave it?
