Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@LS2020 Thank you for the information. Its very useful. I hope I ovulate after cd12 as on the day of x-ray HSG (before and after) not allowed any sexual activities. I'll definitely try to find the thread you are talking about too.

LS2020 · 25/06/2021 17:48

@EveryMumDay yeah you deffo can! Someone I know on another thread had her checks, could see that the ovary was ready to release on her scan so DTD for next 48 hours like crazy and ended up pregnant. They showed me which side I’d ovulated out of and stuff on mine so it might give you a good indication of if you still have a chance. I had the Hycosy which had a dye and I must admit not sure we DTD for a little while after because it was uncomfortable but Tbf if had it been ovulating time probably would have give it a go!

EveryMumDay · 25/06/2021 17:19

@LS2020 thank you. The x-ray will be on cd12 for me and I usually get peak on either cd12-14. Not sure, if I could try or completely a no no this month. Very true, a month off would be like a holiday for me Grin congratulations on your new job :)

@Juno231 thank you Smile yes, finally got it booked and NHS are trying to get things in place. A little anxious about it all but just want it to come quickly so I get some answers.

LS2020 · 25/06/2021 16:31

@EveryMumDay I agree, the month I had my Hycosy was 4 days after I was due to O and it was nice to know I had the month off guilt free, helps you relax a bit.

@Juno231 haha maybe I need more Tom in my life to keep the heart rate up! Ah frustrating, hope you’re treating yourself this weekend! I watched my clinics IVF videos on Wednesday and was sat telling my uterus ‘see if you don’t do your job, this is what I’m going to have to do to you’ and see if they learn, maybe give it a go 😂

Juno231 · 25/06/2021 11:34

@EveryMumDay Sorry cycle 10 showed up but well done on getting your HSG booked in. It'll be a nice change to not TTC for once - it's such a mental load otherwise.

@LS2020 ah gotcha. you might just have an elevated heart rate post racy dreams lol! I'm good, AF was supposed to show yesterday but hasn't so I'm on knicker watch. Definitely not pregnant though so don't get excited!

Hey ladies.

That's a funny dream Grin

Started cycle 10 today morning. Noticed my rhr drop on 10 dpo, so knew I was out :( went for the blood test today referral from NHS fertility and 6 July got the x-ray HSG, so no TTC this July as it falls on fertile week.

Cross fingers for us all.

LS2020 · 25/06/2021 10:01

@Juno231 it was a good dream, I snoozed my alarm to have 10 mins more of it 😂
It does but normally from 7dpo, usually has a mini jump and then stays flat (ie the first bit of my graph). Way too early to see yet, might flatten tomorrow. How are you getting on?

Juno231 · 25/06/2021 09:11

@ls2020 hahaha love that dream! Does your rhr not go up after ovulation normally?

OP posts:
LS2020 · 25/06/2021 08:33

How is everyone getting on?

2dpo and having a mini rise which is a little odd but probs just means I’m out already 😂
Had the funniest dream I’d slept with Tom Hiddleston (watching Loki at the moment) and panicked because it was my ovulation date and then I fell pregnant and didn’t know who the dad was (not that I panicked about any guilt on my OH 😂)

@Juno231 ugh what a pain but maybe as you say it’s a good thing to have a bit of wait time if you have a new job! That’s exciting :)
Annoying to need the time off straight when you start a new role but timing is never perfect.
I’m starting a new role at my job in august but my boss already knows as I’ll have same line manager so I don’t feel as concerned about taking time off.
Tbf the wait has been good for me to try and lose some weight. My BMI was 29 when they last weighed me and they stop it if I’m above 30 so I’m 1kg down this week.. about 6 more to go 😫

Juno231 · 19/06/2021 09:16

@LS2020 thank you! And gosh that does look quick! Yes I think the funding is part of the pathway but she seemed to think it could take a month for me to even get the docs to apply for it - so that would be on top of the 18 weeks.

Either way I just got a job offer and have a 3 months notice period so 18-22 weeks would be really good now 😅

As for my rhr - I'm 8dpo and it keeps dropping - down to 67 now so not looking good for this cycle either.

@Juno231 this is the time scales they give at Leeds so might not be too long!

Fx your RHR picks up and you have a good cycle and you don’t need to worry about 18 weeks! 😊

LS2020 · 18/06/2021 17:31

@mumof23188 glad to hear you can breathe now 😂 my only issue is AF would be due on the 7th so it’s probably going to be my august cycle and that feels ageeess away!

Thanks @GlassLily and yes everyone has that drop, it’s as the placenta develops which I think others have said!

@Juno231 ugh, mine was a bit like that he was like ‘so what can I do for you’ and we were like we don’t know you’re the ones who put this appointment in with us?! He wasn’t too bad but he was like oh it’s a tough process etc and I was like yeah I don’t like x and he’d say oh that’s not even the tough bit! But then never elaborated what the tough bit was?!
I’m sure the fundings is part of the pathway?! I’m worried as not heard anything on funding but the consultant took us through the nhs rules on costs etc. We’re going to be sent some forms to do before the nurses appointment so maybe it’s on that.

Juno231 · 18/06/2021 13:18

@GlassLily I'm glad you managed to get some reassurance from all these lovely ladies!

@ls2020 that's so good it's all getting ready to go soon! I had my fertility app yesterday and it was a bit rubbish. It was just a general update and she seemed to think I was nowhere near IVF stage yet cause she hadn't checked my notes. When she realised I was eligible for IVF as of next month she just went "oh, maybe I should refer you for funding assessment then" and banged on for a while about how invasive IVF is - which was rich considering this is the same doc who had me do a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in April! Anyways the ball is rolling but she seemed to think just receiving the funding paperwork could take up to a month and then the IVF pathway is 18 weeks at this hospital - but potentially longer due to covid. So end of the year maybe? We'll see.

I'm currently 7DPO and at 5DPO my RHR was steadily rising and had reached 74bpm - today it's down to 69bpm so a big drop! Let;s hope it means something for once and that it starts going back up as of tomorrow...

@GlassLily yes definitely don’t worry about the drop. I know it’s easier said than done. Mine has been all over the place!

GlassLily · 18/06/2021 12:50

Thanks @kona84! I'm definitely just going to not worry about the drop Smile

Kona84 · 17/06/2021 23:33

That drop at the end of feb was weeks 6-8 for me.
You can see that it started rising again but was very up and down from March onwards
22+5 now

Thank you @Alicespring! I've also just found the thread from January with two ladies on here having big drops and then lovely scans where everything was perfect ☺️

Alicespring · 17/06/2021 23:06

@GlassLily

Same thing happened to me 😊 I'm 35 weeks now and all is well!

GlassLily · 17/06/2021 23:04

That's so exciting @LS2020, hope it all happens nice and quickly for you! 🤞🏻

Just an update that my rhr is dropping, but I am not going to worry because I'm 7 weeks and that seems to happen to everyone! But I won't say no to some reassurance from anyone who had the same thing Grin

@LS2020 wow that’s amazing. I’m so glad you got the call and things can get moving for you. Not to long to wait either ☺️. Over the moon for you. I’m feeling a bit better now thank you, it’s not as painful now and I can breathe 🤣.

LS2020 · 17/06/2021 09:13

Also hope you’re feeling better xx

LS2020 · 17/06/2021 09:12

@mumof23188 got my call this morning. Nurses appointment in for 2nd July. Next AF is due on 7th so not sure if it’ll be too short a time frame to get organised but most of dr. Google says it just starts on the day of your next period so who knows, could be less than a month now!

mumof23188 · 15/06/2021 21:59

@LS2020 bless you, I bet that wait feels like torture. Hopefully that letter drops for you ASAP. Thank you so much ☺️. Got antibiotics so hopefully it will bugger off soon. Xx

LS2020 · 15/06/2021 21:45

@Juno231 you too! No clue, we don’t have any issues and cycles are regular so think will be short. Want to try get done it shortest possible timeframe! Just waiting around for appointment. Having to stop myself from ringing and asking.

@mumof23188 not sure yet, have to wait for a letter for nurse now I think! Take care of yourself lovely and hope you feel better xx
