Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

Hey @QueenLagertha, glad you joined us here. Do not worry about the drop, everyone's hormones are different and our bodies behaves in unusual ways. Just wait after your missed period to retest. Take good care of yourself 😙

@LS2020 you've had a very busy week. I hope you are ok and coping well with the whole process. It's not easy but you're doing great in being in top of it all. I agree, those pessary tablets throw all kinds of symptoms!! I've stopped symptom stopping and just carry on putting it in every evening like a robot 🤣 Hope you got hold of some of the applicators to use.

LS2020 · 18/08/2021 17:44

@QueenLagertha I really hope it’s a good ending for you, let us know how you get on ❤️

@EveryMumDay these pessaries are hitting me hard! Making me realise every TWW symptom I’ve ever had has just been progesterone though 😂

QueenLagertha · 18/08/2021 08:06

Thank you @LS2020 for your kind words. Hopefully AF will just come on time if so and put me out of my misery as soon as possible 🤞🏼

LS2020 · 18/08/2021 08:02

@QueenLagertha unfortunately I think it’s a wait and keep yourself rested as possible. It didn’t help me at the time but I took comfort after when I was researching chemicals that if it happens within 5 weeks, it was most likely damaged embryo and would never developed past that point so even though it’s hard, it was never something with potential so in a way it was better AF showed and I could move on. You’re supposedly more fertile in the months after it that brings some comfort too. But for now, take care of yourself and try out the Fitbit away, you never know ❤️

QueenLagertha · 18/08/2021 07:49

Thanks @LS2020 all taken first thing in the morning. AF due Friday or Saturday.
The line today looks the exact same as when I fell pregnant with DS.
However had lots of symptoms with him at this time. My symptoms seemed to stop yesterday. Had some moderate cramping for half an hour last night just. Sore boobs gone etc.

I probably need to step away from the tests for a couple of days. And maybe take the Fitbit off. Easier said than done. My head is fried.

LS2020 · 18/08/2021 07:45

Hi @QueenLagertha - that is some lovely line progression so would take a lot of comfort in that. Unfortunately it’s a bit of a waiting game - when is AF due? I’ve seen people not have rises until about 18-20dpo ie 5 weeks pregnant so I would look at your test progression. Make sure you take them at the same time though because I freaked myself out doing on in an afternoon and it wasn’t as strong!

QueenLagertha · 18/08/2021 07:39

Hi ladies.
Hope you don't mind me jumping on.

My Fitbit RHR was higher than ever up until 10dpo. 12dpo today and RHR started to fall yesterday. It has fallen off a cliff today. FRER lines still getting darker. Has this happened anyone else before?

I'm thinking I'm having a chemical pregnancy

Thanks @Juno231. Yes we’ve said ironically this is probably the furthest we’ve ever got as reckon our MMC was probably abnormal and then none of the rest ever developed. I’m glad we went for IVF though as would have been futile trying I think. Just a pain I have to go through the shots and egg retrieval again, could have done without that 😂

Juno231 · 17/08/2021 10:56

@ls2020 ah that's a bummer - but as they say you just need one good egg so let's hope this one makes it to day 5. Interesting about why the others didn't work - that would explain that unexplained infertility! I'm glad that if you need another round there's a solution to it though xxx

@mumof23188 I was up at 5am with nerves 😂

@Juno231 just under sedation but I went straight out like a light!

Well some sad news that only one made it through the night so now we wait. They said the rest all fertilised but they had too many nuclei ie too many sperm got in or the egg was too slow to close off properly and split. They said probably a big indication of why we haven’t conceived and even if this week isn’t all positive, it’s something we can chat through with doctor. It looks like ICSI might solve the issue.
Until then we wait! Said to my OH that maybe the fact one is now normal is a good sign it might just develop on as normal now our main issue has been overcome?!

Juno231 · 17/08/2021 10:07

@LS2020 were you under sedation or GA? Not that I fully comprehend the difference lol. Best of luck on the update today!

@LS2020 wow can’t believe you slept through it 🤣. Great that everything is ok for you. Are you managing to rest? Gosh I can only imagine, any idea when they will call?

LS2020 · 17/08/2021 08:15

Thanks @mumof23188. I slept through the whole thing, which is a massive blessing 😂 had some bleeding but apart from some more first thing this am, mostly seems okay now.

This wait for the embryologist so call is sickening, I’m so nervous!

mumof23188 · 17/08/2021 00:18

@LS2020 I’m so pleased to hear it went well and you got some lovely Eggs 🥰. Hope the procedure went ok and wasn’t painful. Definitely agree, quality over quantity anyday! Great news about OHs sperm. Crossing everything for you 🤞🤞

LS2020 · 16/08/2021 12:21

@Juno231 yeah that’s it, it’s about ones being mature so actually you can have 20 but if none are good quality then you drop down to 10 anyway for example.
I’d deffo rather have 3 really good ones than 5-6 middle ones.
Yeah tomorrow so now my fear is none fertilise so will just have to see!

Juno231 · 16/08/2021 12:03

@ls2020 7 sounds perfectly average I think! Whenever I hear of the ones with 20 eggs you then often hear that by day 5 they're down to only 4-5 cause quality was poor due to over-stimulation. FWIW a lady on another thread I'm on had 5 fertilised and all 5 made it to day 5! Will you get another update tomorrow on fertilisation rate?

LS2020 · 16/08/2021 11:57

@mumof23188 @Juno231 home now and resting! They collected 8 and 7 were viable and ready to be used. Seems lower end looking at google but a woman opposite got 20 and she’s has to abandon her cycle for OHSS so could be worse! Tbf they say it’s quality not quantity. OH’s sperm parameters were fine so just waiting til tomorrow to find out how many fertilised xx

Juno231 · 15/08/2021 20:59

@LS2020 amazing news - how many eggies are they estimating you'll be harvesting?

OP posts:
mumof23188 · 15/08/2021 19:34

@LS2020 ahh wow that’s amazing. What a lovely update. Hope you are feeling well. Wishing you all the best for tomorrow lovely ☺️.

LS2020 · 15/08/2021 15:23

@mumof23188 had a scan Friday and Saturday - all really happy with how I’ve progressed so had my final injection last night and in for the egg retrieval tomorrow!

@EveryMumDay i’ll see what I can find on the internet as I’m now in quarantine post covid test and hospital likes us to isolate. It’s the fact they’re two at night and if they fit in?! Start then tomorrow so will see!

EveryMumDay · 11/08/2021 13:45

@LS2020 I'm so sorry.....I've misread what you wrote, you said 2x 400mg dose. Indeed very big dose. Hope you feeling ok with it.

EveryMumDay · 11/08/2021 12:42

@LS2020 how are you finding the tablets? If you find taking 2 of them together is a chore you can ask your consultant to give you 400mg. I take one 400mg dose in the evening, much easier than 2 separate 200mg.

I ordered the applicators from my local pharmacy and picked it up yesterday. Very easy to use and much better than using fingers. They do sell some on eBay too. However, check if your local pharmacy sells them and if not then order of eBay.

Wish you all the luck for this week. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

mumof23188 · 11/08/2021 09:47

@LS2020 how are you getting on lovely? How are you feeling? Is your scan tomorrow? ☺️

LS2020 · 11/08/2021 09:04

@EveryMumDay 11 days is still quite early but a good sign that it’s high :)

Thanks! Where did you order from?
2 x 400mg so a very big dose!

EveryMumDay · 10/08/2021 09:55

It shouldn't say 'stated' but it should read 'stay'. Silly autocorrect.

I meant to say - Using the applicator reduces the risk of infection, not that you can't get an infection if using the applicator.
