Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

Congratulations @LS2020!! Gorgeous scan. Hi cute little baby 👋🏻 can't believe you are 8 weeks already!! Hope the ms isn't too bad. My nausea started at 7 weeks and it just got worse and worse until 13/14 weeks, then suddenly over 1-2 weeks it went away! So don't lose hope if it feels like it's getting worse all the time. Not to mention that ms is statistically associated with better pregnancy outcomes 🙂
I am 22 weeks now and panicking.... Where did all the time go?? I have no baby stuff. After trying for a while and having the CPs I really wasn't prepared for it to go so well and get to this point!

Also just a heads up that at around 8-9 weeks my rhr plummeted by about 10bpm across about a week, back to a normal post-ov level. Not quite to AF level. Then about week 10/11 it went back up again, and has been up and down ever since. So you're probably in for a fun few weeks with your Fitbit - try not to panic!

LS2020 · 30/09/2021 06:31

Had my 8 week scan yesterday and little one is doing well, measuring 2 days behind but heartbeat nice and strong at 148bpm 🥰 finally getting my fitbit back hahaha

Hope everyone is keeping well x

@ttc19 good luck - all very promising!!

I’m doing good thanks, 7 weeks and the nausea is just insane, not sure why I tried so long for this now 😅

ttc19 · 21/09/2021 10:47

This is probably TMI too but this morning I've had a large increase in CM too.. just need that BFP! X

ttc19 · 21/09/2021 09:52

@LS2020 Morning!

It's on the rise again! I will totally mind boggled if I'm not pregnant this month. I've had lower back and leg pains, an extremely strong metallic taste in my mouth for the last 4 days, nausea, breathlessness and the rising RHR. Keeping everything crossed!

How are you today?

LS2020 · 21/09/2021 08:51

@ttc19 welcome! 6dpo is really early but I think any rise post O is a really good sign, what’s it doing today?

@Kona84 thank you and that’s insane, can’t believe your little one is nearly here! It feels so far away at the moment for me ☺️ I’ve lost weight and can’t tell if it’s because of sickness or because I’m actually eating better which is a horrible reflection on my diet pre pregnancy!!

Kona84 · 20/09/2021 19:35

@LS2020
Congrats on the scan.
I can’t believe how quick my pregnancy has gone- today was my 36 week appointment and I put together my birth plan.
I got weighed today and I am 1 kg lighter than at my booking appt due to the GD I’m not restricting I have reduced portions to help control blood sugars.

ttc19 · 19/09/2021 10:48

Wanted to add that we caught first cycle with other pregnancies so it's all new to me!

ttc19 · 19/09/2021 10:47

Hi all. Found this thread this morning. Came off the pill in March and got excited when I saw a rise after ovulation this month but it's dropped by 2 this morning so feeling a bit glum @ 6DPO. Have had all sorts of funny symptoms the last few days - all in my head probably.

Attached my chart. What do you think?

@mumof23188 thank you! Didn’t work last night and was so poorly but think a lot of it was anxiety before scan and feeling much better now. I’m supposed to be giving a presentation tomorrow so should be interesting 😂

mumof23188 · 17/09/2021 18:16

@LS2020 awww look at your little bean. I am so happy to hear all was well and you saw babies heartbeat. Such lovely news ❤️❤️. That’s good that it’s helping. Hope your throat feels better soon. 🤣🤣 oh my, is your manager for real. I wish it was just a mental concept haha

LS2020 · 17/09/2021 14:05

Scan went well today - saw the heartbeat flickering away ☺️ Said I was measuring a day behind at 6+3 but didn’t revise my EDD. Officially discharged to midwife now. Hope everyone is keeping well ❤️

Thanks @mumof23188 it seems like a slice of toast before bed and a biscuit at night it working a treat and not been sick since Tuesday. I’ve lost my voice though because the sickness has damaged my throat so that’s not fab! My manager at work (who admitted she’d never thrown up with morning sickness) told me it was a mental concept and if you just say to yourself not to be sick then I just won’t be.. I was like thanks 😂😂

mumof23188 · 15/09/2021 21:16

@LS2020 it is so hard feeling so sick. I had it so bad this time. If it gets bad you can always get something from the doctors. I can’t remember what I was prescribed but it definitely helped. You definitely will get there. Will be thinking of you ☺️.

Yeah it really dropped off after birth. Crazy!!

LS2020 · 15/09/2021 16:46

@mumof23188 I’m so sick of feeling sick all the time, can’t wait for this bit to be over!!
It’s at 12.25 and working in the morning so that’ll be a drag but will get there. Thank you!!
How interesting on your RHR, hoping my OH let’s me have my Fitbit back after the scan 😂😂

mumof23188 · 15/09/2021 15:16

@LS2020 oh you poor thing. Morning sickness is horrible. Fingers crossed you’ve found a way to take the edge off. 🤞. Ahh wow, what time is it at? Time always drags on when you are waiting for something. Hope time speeds up a bit for you lovely. Little one is great thank you. We all adore him 💙.

Just wanted to share my post birth drop with you all. HR is definitely back to normal now.

LS2020 · 15/09/2021 15:07

@mumof23188 I’m good (ish!) thanks! Morning sickness kicked in this week and threw up Monday and Tuesday. Had some toast last night and ate a biscuit every time I got up to pee in the night and so far so good today so hoping I’ve found a way to combat it 🤞🏻Scan is on Friday and it just feels like it’s dragging!!! How’s your little one doing?

@GlassLily @Gizzy93 I lost about 8kg and my RHR dropped about 5bpm it was v interesting to see ☺️

mumof23188 · 15/09/2021 11:32

@LS2020 how are you doing? Xxx

Gizzy93 · 11/09/2021 03:02

@GlassLily yes my rhr is terrible! Have no cardio fitness lol.
Im just calorie counting and exercising pretty much every day. Usually do over 10k steps a day which is a good start

GlassLily · 10/09/2021 23:33

@Gizzy93 also it'll be interesting to see if/how the weight lots changes what your rhr does!

GlassLily · 10/09/2021 23:32

@LS2020 that's so funny about people at work. I told my HR guy at 14 weeks and he spent an hour talking me through all the best schools in the area, and which primary schools feed into which high schools, and when you need to sign them up by, and how it's easier to get a second child into the same school....I didn't know what to say 🤣😳

@Gizzy93 good luck with your weight loss! I think it makes a huge difference to fertility for some people, so that's good motivation! What's your plan on how to get started?

LS2020 · 10/09/2021 06:35

@Kona84 how are you that far along that’s insane!! Sorry to hear on GD but diet control is really good, my manager had it and she was on all sorts of injections and tablets and they made her quite poorly. Good to hear you’re all prepared, people at work have asked me about hospitals and nurseries and I’m like ??? Let me have my first scan 😂

@GlassLily thank you! Got a 3+ today so happy everything is progressing 😊 (I’ve not tested since last Friday) so that will be end of tests for me now I think. My scan is a week today so feels both soon and ages away!

@Gizzy93 I think losing weight before is a really good idea, I’m about a size 14 and wish I’d slimmed down a bit (I had to lose about a stone for IVF as BMI had to be under 30, I was about 28 on the test but still think it would have been nicer to lose some more)

Gizzy93 · 10/09/2021 03:31

@GlassLily yeah, period came Monday morning right on time.
Im going to lose weight before we have a baby. I've got 30kg to lose but we're going to start trying when I hit 20kg.
I also got my Measles, Mumps and Rubella booster today, so definitely have to be using protection for 3 months

GlassLily · 10/09/2021 03:21

@Gizzy93 thanks for posting the indent. I think that's similar to mine, from memory. And easier to see irl than in the photos. Has AF turned up now?

@LS2020 congrats on your cb Digi! How are you feeling? That wait from BFP to first scan is the longest time ever isn't it 😩 hope you're not too stressed!

@Juno231 how are you doing, where are you at with IVF plans?

Juno231 · 08/09/2021 10:27

@Kona84 that's nuts how far along you are already! I'm sorry to hear about you getting GD but I'm glad you are able to control it atm. Hope all goes well for you and baba
