Happy birthday @Fiep!

This morning I talked to my mum and she told me when she had me and my sister pregnancy tests were too expensive for her. So she’d wait a couple of weeks after a missed period to go to the GP to confirm. I don’t know how she did it

I used BBT and OPK as my escapism. It gives me something to think about. But I had to stop doing it once ovulation was confirmed by my app because otherwise I would analyse every little dip in temps and spend ages recording my symptoms. I definitely feel like my body invented symptoms at times. The power of the mind!

Ignore my message @Lollipop25. I just saw you are 5 weeks. I should pay more attention!

It’s so easy to become obsessed with POAS. I am definitely guilty of this. I’m already working out when I can reasonably PO a FRER. 10 days post static smiley? That would probably be 9dpo and this would be Friday. No WAY can I wait 2 weeks although I know I’ll just be anxious from testing too early. Last month I was so preoccupied and it was the same when I TTCed my daughter.

I have worked out that my obsession is more about wanting to have something good in what’s been a shit couple of years, with bereavements and DH mental health issues, and am aware that a double line will not solve these problems. So I’m trying to gain perspective and see my obsession for what it is: escapism. At least this awareness has helped me take a step back from the preoccupation and I am determined not to symptom spot this time- last month I had ALL the (psychosomatic) symptoms so there’s literally no point: no matter how real it feels it’s created by my own desire.

Just my musings- hope it helps someone else.

@Lollipop25 Are 3-4 weeks pregnant? Because the week indicator on the clear blue digital in post ovulation weeks. So when the CB test says 1-2 weeks, you are roughly 3-4 weeks pregnant.

@Sophiederuges that sounds like a good idea, it can definitely get all consuming :/ fingers crossed for you for Wednesday but all seems well so far 💕 I am the same, if I have them in, I will use them! Including the opks 🙈 used one while I was on my period for some bizarre reason and really wish I hadn't as it showed a high result so I was super confused - learnt my lesson now haha (I hope!)

@Sam8582 I have done one more test (normal one, not a FRER or digital) because it was lying there. But I’m refusing to buy anymore. I obsessed over it last. I’d even have a display to show profession: it was consuming me. So now I’ve said no more tests. I think I have a problem with tests It’s like an addiction, I can’t just use them responsibly.

I have one digital (week indicator) left which I keep for Wednesday morning before seeing the consultant.

Is anyone else like that by the way? Addicted to POAS? I’m even like that with my OPK

Thank you everyone for your kind words. That mmc left me feeling more anxious of course. I think I spend too much time looking for symptoms of lack of symptoms. It has become obsessive actually. I have to be patient but it’s not easy

@JLL1990 (pressed too soon) If you never have spotting, then yes, it could still be implantation. I’d make note of it so if you’re not pregnant and it happens again, you can try to see if there is a pattern. And if you’re pregnant then you have your answer and an amazing surprise to boot

@JLL1990 The timings work! Do you usually have spotting? If you have spotting every cycle, then it’s much more likely to be hormonal!

Welcome back @TigerDaisy how are you? No advice re. the temping sorry, still not got around to trying that but that all seems promising! Any other symptoms for you this month? I'm 8dpo too and not much going on haha, who knows 🤷‍♀️

Hi @WantStickyBean ooh is that the clear blue monitor that links with your phone? I just use their advanced sticks but may invest in that a little further down the line

Anyone near to testing stage? How are you doing @Sophiederuges? Have you done anymore tests?

Huge congrats to all those ladies who have had their BFPs this month

I jumped on the May bus really late I know! We just moved house two days ago so things have been crazy.

Ladies who temp, I’m looking for opinions on my chart for this month so far - pic shows my last four cycles on top, orange is current, and on bottom my average cycle (blue) compared to my current (red)...the dip is yesterday, 8dpo...could it be an implantation dip? I don’t want to get my hopes up but it’s so different to my normal cycle, and I had some twinges yesterday that made me say ‘ow’ right in my uterine area...could the stress of moving have affected my temps? Or could this be it?!

Hi everyone! Congratulations @Lollipop25 that's a lovely BFP.

Took a break for a week or so to try and focus on other things while I'm in first half of cycle. Now CD10 and this month I'm trying grapefruit juice, and have got the clearblue OPKs that sync to my phone rather than the out of date cheapies I used last month.

@CocoLady that's okay! I'm adopted so I've had a fab life. That could be implantation bleeding from what I've heard it's like. Did it fill up a pad? I'm so sorry to hear about your MC. I was reading on here some people didn't get a BFP until their period was due or even after. Just depends on the levels of HCG. Don't not enjoy yourself just cos you think you could be pregnant though - we still have to enjoy ourselves. I just dropped my partner to the pub so I've got the house to myself woo!! Xx

I was out most nights before I found out 4 weeks I was pg with dd1!
I'm just a worrier 🙃 so my bleeding was so light and very dark brown not like a normal period at all and it lasted 3 days if that ! According to my app I'm 14 DPO
So I very much doubt I'm pregnant as I did a test yesterday (don't think blood in urine affects them do they ?)

I had a miscarriage in January and bled for 3 months so not sure if my body still getting used to cycles again ! Oh and I am enjoying my wine 🍷 this weekend ! 😋

Hi @CocoLady as others have said, I agree, you can't put your life on hold. I did that month 1 and honestly that tww was awful! How long are your cycles usually? And how many dpo would you be if not af?

@Capricorn8990 oh how confusing! With my first though I tested negative at 10DPO and then positive 6 days later. You just never know x
