After a chilled garden soiree, it's time to shake things up and head to the cocktail club. Let's get into the spirit(s) - it's a whiskey business TTC so if you're feeling pretty fly grab a Mai Tai and have yourself some Sex on the Beach. Fingers crossed we get some BFP's and keep the Bloody Mary's away. Let the celebrations be-Gin!! Time flys when your having Rum!

Welcome to the 11th (!) post pill party thread for women who have recently come off the pill. Where we can all come and discuss the highs and lows of TTC.

Ladies already at the soiree:

@TheDaydreamBelievers It totally makes sense that you'd want to take a step back - you do what's best for you and know we're all here for when you're ready to rejoin. One demand though is that you let us know of your future BFP regardless Grin

@kay00 phew what a relief! and what a terrible ending for your cousin, I can't even imagine it!

@FlyingGiraffe CD12 yday so CD13 today. I reckon OD is today as I didn't have a temp rise this morning! OH has promised another round of BD tonight lol.

One of my friends is coming over tonight for a pub meal and to drop off her dog that I'll dog sit for her until Friday. I'm so flipping excited! Just wish she'd leave the dog with me for longer.

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 15:02

@Gracie2021 ah I see well fingers crossed it won't be too long for you x
@TheDaydreamBelievers I understand. Not the same, but sometimes I take breaks from these boards. Sometimes you can't help but compare and then you feel worse. Do whatever you need to do. You can always have a little break and see. We will still be here if you changed your mind or pop in the odd time ❤️
Whatever helps you on this journey is best. X

Robyn101 · 17/05/2021 12:32

I’d definitely be up for a graduates thread, I think most have just joined whichever month they’re due threads but I’d love to have one with this little community.

I’m rubbish at setting up threads though what do you think @MintGreenLife @LauraT94 @pineapple2021 anyone want to set one up in the pregnancy board?

Gracie2021 · 17/05/2021 12:31

@TheDaydreamBelievers I completely understand where you’re coming from. The saying “comparison is the thief of joy” is so true. While this board is a great source of comfort I think there’s a lot of us who need to take a step back from time to time to reset. Everyone has different challenges and issues and sometimes seeing other people and comparing journeys does more harm that good. But here if you need us and definitely do keep pushing for support medically. Maybe you’ll get approval for a medicated cycle to help bring ovulation on. Fingers crossed for you and sending hugs xx

@Kay00 so so relieved for you. What a weight especially when you have that tragic family situation on your mind. My heart goes out to that poor woman. What an impossible choice to make and can’t even imagine the heartache. Sometimes life is just so unfair!

@Lovebug06 I’m in Republic of Ireland and supply of vaccines has just been much slower here so we’re not moving as fast as you guys at all. Now our health services IT is under attack and all offline so things are going to be very challenging until they get it sorted.

AllyCat31 · 17/05/2021 11:30

What’s holding you back @TheDaydreamBelievers ? Happy to answer any questions although most of my info is from here/online. Only had one cycle on it but I ovulated 10 days earlier than any other cycle and no side effects at all.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 17/05/2021 11:18

@AllyCat31 wondering if I should try this soy!

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 11:12

@Gracie2021 no I will wait I find the testing really hard! I stopped a long time ago but I have one there if AF doesn't come. I've just had the vaccine I had Pfizer. I'm a bit worried it's gonna make AF late and confuse me but nothing much I can do!
Glad it's done. Where are you? 30s being called in my area now.
@Kay00 I'm glad it all went well!
The story of your cousin is terrible. Life can be so cruel. Love xx
I'm 11dpo so just behind you. I hate this last bit of waiting takes forever!

AllyCat31 · 17/05/2021 10:33

Yea @Gracie2021 seems like there’s a few of us at almost the exact same point. It really does help knowing there’s people I can talk to or a place to vent. Not telling any family or friends your trying can be very isolating.

I’m counting today as CD1 as flow much heavier today. Gonna do my soy iso 3-7 again as that really helped bring ovulation forward and it was so strong on my BBT chart too. Think I’m gonna ditch all my apps except Femometer this cycle cause that one seems to be the closest one for estimating dates and also BBT and LH charting is so much easier. I was also using Flo but it was way out and I tried FF for a week but it wasn’t better than Femometer.

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 10:21

@TheDaydreamBelievers so sorry, I do get how frustrating it may be and I must admit I did find the TTC boards abit triggering at times

@Kay00 gosh that is terrible, you're results must be such a relief

Kay00 · 17/05/2021 10:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers Nooooo Sad so sorry hun!! What a blooming nightmare! You certainly need some intervention. I'm sure there are things they can give you to induce a period and then encourage ovulation xx

Thank you all for your lovely kind words re-yesterday. Procedure went well and no cancer was identified... in fact there was nothing untoward, so I am thrilled. Its one more thing I don't have to worry about in my TTC journey.

I had a cousin who found out she had cancer just after she fell pregnant with her 2nd baby, she was just 24. She had to decide to keep the baby and keep the cancer or loose the baby and fight the cancer. Unfortunately she chose the former Sad, she gave birth but died a couple of months later. It was utterly tragic. Ripped our family apart tragic. So I am really pleased to know I won't be making a similar decision. I hope that's a decision none of is ever have to make xx

I'm 13DPO, have been spotting the last few days and had cramps on and off. AF due today or tomorrow. So just waiting now.

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 10:18

@Gracie2021 @Juno231 I think an after party for those who have had thier BFPs would be great, although I am utterly useless at stuff like that and don't think I would be able to set it up 🤣🤣

TheDaydreamBelievers · 17/05/2021 09:47

@Gracie2021 no worries - theres lots of us to remember here! GP has done 2x bloods, both showed normal apart from no ovulation. Has referred me to general gynaecology. I'm also chasing GP to do weekly bloods. It is frustrating.

Im thinking of maybe leaving the TTC conceive boards - you lot are lovely but it's really getting me down seeing others do 3 full cycles whilst I'm pissing about with maybe ovulation, but likely not x 39479285 times.

MintGreenLife · 17/05/2021 09:40

@TheHotelCalifornia Just spotted your post and wanted to say huge congratulations to you both xxx

Gracie2021 · 17/05/2021 09:22

Smilies not smokies 🙈

Gracie2021 · 17/05/2021 09:17

@Kay00 so glad you have the procedure behind you. I’d say it’s a great relief. Congrats on the steady weight loss since Jan too. I’ve been going the opposite way. Find this process has me eating my feelings a lot. How are you feeling today? Hope you recover quickly.

@MissC07 enjoy your second acupuncture!

@Lovebug06 if you can’t vent here then where can you?! Keep it coming, odds are you’ll always have at least one person if not more who can empathize. Good luck with the vaccine today. Well jealous. They’re only on the 50-59 group here so a longer wait left for us. Fingers crossed for BFP too have you tested?

@firsttimemummy321 so sorry for your loss, such a difficult time. Hope you have support around you and and fingers crossed you get an appointment soon xx

@AllyCat31 @Tillybabs @Sunshinedaisybuttermellow think we’re all CD1-2 ish now so company for the cycle ahead if that’s any comfort. And Tillybabs hope your app Friday goes well. Great to be getting the support.

@Juno231 sounds like you’re well covered and fingers crossed this is your month. Great idea about the after party for all our BFP ladies. Would be great to know there’s another thread to “graduate to” (best word I can think of...) in the event of seeing that second line. This chat has been such a lifeline the last few months so if we were lucky would be great to know there’s another thread to move to with the same faces to chat all things pregnancy after. What do ye think of the idea BFP ladies?

@FlyingGiraffe congrats on your smokies and good luck for the week ahead. You’ll be like teenagers whispering in the dark 😂👍

@TheDaydreamBelievers I’m so sorry love, can’t imagine how frustrated you must be right now. Hope you’re doing ok. I’m sorry my memory is failing me but have you seen anyone yet about testing or support?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 17/05/2021 08:27

CD66 and app just took my crosshairs away again.

Over 113 days since any proper period.

Sighhhhhhh

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 08:21

@Smellycat56 it can become and obsession quite easily and then when it doesn't happen quickly I started the self torture of there must be something wrong with me.

@pineapple2021 I always look at my pee in the morning like 'hmmm is that dehydrated enough' TTC turned me into a gross person 🤣 my OH said 'errr why are you keeping the tests they've got pee on' and to be honest there was no logical explanation 🤣

pineapple2021 · 17/05/2021 08:17

@ChinChilly I would agree. Mine required the most dehydrated wee ever to actually get it.

Smellycat56 · 17/05/2021 08:13

@ChinChilly lol yes I can see I could get a bit fixated with it quite quickly! My first ds was conceived by a 'one off' so I think I have to remind myself that it doesn't always happen like that! Plus I was ten years younger then Blush

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 08:11

@pineapple2021 I saw someone post on here somewhere that the level required jumps massively from 2-3 to 3+ so hopefully it's just that. I'll try again maybe the weekend.

pineapple2021 · 17/05/2021 08:07

@ChinChilly that's fab!! Yeah I think I was maybe 7 weeks when I did it.

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 08:05

@pineapple2021 thanks for letting me know 🙂 i felt abit disheartened yesterday but i POAS this morning and it was a total dye stealer so that put my mind at rest abit.

@Smellycat56 welcome, sounds good your cycle is regular so quickly, I started with the relaxed approach.. not trying not preventing thing... didn't last long 🤣

Smellycat56 · 17/05/2021 07:51

Morning everyone. Please could I join?
Came off the pill about 3 months ago. I've had 2 natural periods now and seem to have settled back into natural cycles pretty quickly.

Dp and I don't have a particularly regular sex life but we dtd on Saturday and ovulation expected Monday/Tuesday (although I had a few twinges yesterday so who knows).

We are taking the relaxed approach lol.

pineapple2021 · 17/05/2021 07:47

@ChinChilly just to add.... it took me quite a while to get a 3+!!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 16/05/2021 21:23

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow CD1 is the first day of proper bleeding
