Let's get into the spirit(s) - it's a whiskey business TTC so if you're feeling pretty fly grab a Mai Tai and have yourself some Sex on the Beach. @LG93 many congratulations!

Juno231 · 02/06/2021 14:10

@LG93 ooh congratulations!! Remind me - were you tracking ovulation at all? When did you manage to BD? How many DPO are you now etc?

Kay00 · 02/06/2021 14:00

@LG93 Oh wow!! Congratulations! So glad you didn't have to wait another year Grin

Kay00 · 02/06/2021 13:59

I think I'm lucky @CaptainGT I'm in Devon and its a bit cooler at 16 degrees today... much more comfortable than the 26 degrees + thunder in the midlands!

@Juno231 Yes, I'm super pleased at this cycle length. I almost feel like its not so bad if I don't get pregnant, as I will get another chance in a few weeks time lol. I'm also really glad OH persuaded me to sneak off for a quicky when we were camping, otherwise we should have missed our window!

LG93 · 02/06/2021 13:55

Hi ladies, miraculously got a bfp today. I'm in shock as took over a year to conceive dd so assumed we would be in for a similar journey, but nope, 2nd cycle off pill and it's done. It feels almost too good to be true so I'm kind of waiting for it to go wrong, but today, I am pregnant. Sorry to swoop in and out so quickly (I hated those posters last time! 😬) But sending you all lots of well wishes on your journeys xx

CaptainGT · 02/06/2021 10:46

So wise. Plus in a secondary twist, if you stress about it that can effect things! Ah well. Tbh in this heat wave DTD is a bit of an ask...Grin

Juno231 · 02/06/2021 09:16

@kay00 yay for continued high temps! So happy for you after this long of wonky cycles.

@CaptainGT hear hear - it's all mad isn't it.

CD3, already warned OH next Thurs onwards he'll be on husbandly duties. There's nothing I can do but look to the next steps/the future. Also counting down the days to that 17th of June appointment but I have a nasty feeling it will get cancelled or something.

Kay00 · 02/06/2021 08:48

@CaptainGT I totally feel your frustration. I'm really trying very hard to not think to much about TTC at the moment. I really don't need the extra stress. We have managed to DTD around my ovulation (i'm on my 2nd day of elevated temps... its looking promising for Ov on CD15!!) and there is nothing much more I can do. I'm not going to Google loads and I'm just keeping up to date with you lovely ladies (because I like to).

I have had all my tests done, so on the first day on my next period I can book in my HyCoSy which will scan my ovaries and check if my tubes are blocked. I just feel like there is little I can do in the meantime, so I'm just going to chill and focus on work and decorating my house.

CaptainGT · 01/06/2021 17:36

Deep Breathe New cycle. New attempts.

This trying business really is anoying. I'm feeling real frustration this cycle. I've got a ton of those spots @Tillybabs & @Juno231 all over the chin and hairline, which is not making me feel very cheery.

I've spent my whole life being careful about pregnancy who knew it was basically a crap shoot and there's HOURS in the window of possibility. ARGH.

Thank goodness there are all you ladies and I can see what the hell is normal. Also makes a huge difference to be able to vent. Sorry for the whinge.

@Tillybabs - Mooncup has helped my thrush issues loads!

I've decided not to get the Covid Vaccine, I just cannot see enough evidence I'm happy about with pregnancies and effects. I just don't feel we know enough about it and I'm not brave enough to be part of the data collection. I know that's super unpopular and I am not an Anti Vaxer AT ALL I am keen for my babies to have what ever they need but I just don't trust this one yet.

Kay00 · 01/06/2021 15:12

@Juno231 Ooh! Interesting. I'm getting my 1st jab on Friday, so (if I have ovulated... need a couple more high temps to confirm) I'll be 4DPO.

@Tillybabs I also get big mean spots develop under the skin on my chin. Plus random spots on other parts of my face (one on the tip of my nose this morning!) and randomly along my hairline on the back on my neck.

WhirlingD · 01/06/2021 14:55

@Juno231 @Kay00 operation jumping OH commencing!!

I decided to download FF to do this charting business and it had most of my data from my 2 years off the pill (34-36 years old). In my head, I was really regular but actually they varied from 23-32 days. Still, not quite the 101 days (or the at least 44 days I'm heading for this cycle). So I think I was looking back with rose tinted glasses.

I see that conceive plus is based on myo-inositol. I read about that in the "it starts with the egg" book, which hailed its benefits in PCOS and for irregular periods. Zita West does an inositol supplement so I'm going to add that to my extremely expensive Sad monthly order. Why not!

Tillybabs · 01/06/2021 14:48

@Juno231 yes I read spots on the chin are hormonal. They have been massive and the type that is under the skin. The things we going through eh!

I had the Pfizer jab just over 2 weeks ago and don’t think I had any reaction to it. I definitely didn’t have any abnormal bleeding but everyone is different.

Juno231 · 01/06/2021 14:44

@kay00 scrap that - I had the jab last Tuesday so I reckon that's why I bled! Lots of women are reporting weird bleeds and it affecting their cycles.

Juno231 · 01/06/2021 14:38

@kay00 ah yes when it first started I got hopeful but then it got quite heavy - like heavier than my AF is normally. I assume it's some kind of lap side effect.

@WhirlingD jump OH today and don't despair, your egg might show tomorrow instead!

@Tillybabs so chin spots like that are a common TWW symptom for a lot of women. So it could be pill related but might not be.

Kay00 · 01/06/2021 14:18

@WhirlingD Sorry Sad Of course I never hope I'm right when I'm suggesting someone hasn't ovulated, when they think they might have. Are you able to jump your man today? Grin

I am really seeing great things from this Conceive Plus range. @AllyCat31 yes, the Ovulation Support tablets are the ones with the Q10 in, they also have Myo-Insoltol, D-Chrio-Insoltol and a little extra Folic Acid too. The Fertility Support tablets are like a standard pre-natal tablet so I take them too but they aren't cheap together!

@Tillybabs oh you poor thing Sad that sounds so painful. Really glad to hear your new cream is helping. Hopefully it will clear up soon, and hopefully your moon cup helps!

@Juno231 Damn. I've had a flash of bright red blood a few days before AF arrived a couple of times. I have to admit that it got my hopes up both times (and I had my hopes up for your too), but I think I'm just partial to a bit of spotting/cervical erosion.

WhirlingD · 01/06/2021 13:52

@Kay00 I think you were right about the false start (my positive OPK on day 12 with no temp rise). I'm CD29 here with no AF and instead I got a cracker of a positive on an OPK cheapie and ANOTHER CB static smiley. :( god knows what's going on. Late ovulation maybe.

I guess I'll start temping again. I'll listen to you next time rather than discarding all temp related stuff because it's not saying what I want it to say!

I think I'll buy that ovulation support stuff too.

BFN today obviously.

Tillybabs · 01/06/2021 11:59

Has anyone else found since coming off the pill, that they’ve developed acne or get random spots? I’ve been getting massive blind pimples on my chin. I have always had very clear skin all my life and I’ve suddenly developed these massive spots on my chin.

Tillybabs · 01/06/2021 10:40

@Juno231 I get some itching and inside my vagina feels swollen and tender. I now get it straight after my period. So now I’m switching to cotton pads only and going to try a moon cup. I’m wondering if the pads are irritating me as that seems to be the case.

I don’t get any discharge though which made me question if it wasn’t thrush.

Juno231 · 01/06/2021 10:34

@JoeMalon3y welcome!

@Tillybabs that's interesting! were your symptoms just like thrush? I seem to be getting it every couple of months atm...

@Kay00 omg great chart and I'm so happy for your on time ovulation! I think your coverage looks ace, let's hope this is your month.

So I had a really strong bleed on Friday at 10DPO - but it was bright, bright red like from a wound and not my usual AF. It only lasted 1 day and on Monday I started what I think is actual AF. All a bit weird but at least I don't think it was a 9 day LP but instead my normal 12...

Cycle 19 then :/

Tillybabs · 01/06/2021 10:21

@JoeMalon3y welcome! Sorry to hear about the abnormal cells but great that they were caught early. I hope AF arrives soon for you

Nothing much new here. The fertility clinic advised I go to a GU clinic to get looked at because I keep on getting what I though was reoccurring thrush.

Turns out I don’t have thrush but what I have is still unexplained. It came on from antibiotics I took and so it definitely started off as thrush but now I think I’ve developed dermatitis there.

Anyway I started using aqueous cream down there as recommended and it has helped!

I used opk strips and started temping to check if I ovulated and I definitely did and we did lots of dtd so here’s hoping.

@Kay00 that definitely looks like ovulation. I hope you enjoyed this camping trip, fab weather for it!

JoeMalon3y · 01/06/2021 09:11

Definitely the place I've been looking for! Can I join please? I've been on the mini pill for the last 15 years and came off 2nd Feb...was treated for abnormal cervical cells in Dec but now I'm just waiting for AF to arrive so I can make sense of it all!!

AllyCat31 · 01/06/2021 07:14

@Kay00 that looks like ovulation to me - great news! I’ve heard good things about conceive plus - are they the ones with q10 in?

Kay00 · 01/06/2021 06:51

Morning ladies. My temp shot up this morning... another on time ovulation?? Or just because I haven't woke up in a tent covered in dew? 😆

If it is ovulation then this will be my earliest 😁 and I will be highly recommending the Conceive plus ovulation support along side their fertility support tablets to anyone with long cycles or absent ovulation!

On the downside my coverage hasn't been brilliant as I spent my fertile period sleeping on a blow up bed with my 10 Yr old niece 😆

Kay00 · 31/05/2021 19:56

@sunshinedaisybuttermellow @lovebug06 in my experience even if I have caught a + on an OPK and I got EWCM it doesn't mean I ovulated, so keep DTD every other day (or every 3rd) just in case! 😁

@juno231 how are you did? did you continue to bleed or was it just spotting at 10DPO?

I'm back from our camping trip. I'm sunburned and exhausted but managed to sneak off and DTD (which was just as well as I had lots of EWCM too!). Taking my temp was a bit pointless as the night time temps were really low so I look like I have hypothermia 😆

Hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend in the sunshine 🌞😘
