After a chilled garden soiree, it's time to shake things up and head to the cocktail club. Let's get into the spirit(s) - it's a whiskey business TTC so if you're feeling pretty fly grab a Mai Tai and have yourself some Sex on the Beach. Fingers crossed we get some BFP's and keep the Bloody Mary's away. Let the celebrations be-Gin!! Time flys when your having Rum!

Welcome to the 11th (!) post pill party thread for women who have recently come off the pill. Where we can all come and discuss the highs and lows of TTC.

TW

Hi all,

Hopefully I’ve found the right thread again!

Some might remember me from getting my BFP back in October 2020. Unfortunately my son Jack was stillborn on the 3rd April this year at 28+3, his due date was next Wednesday.

I am now in my second cycle since his birth and super keen to conceive this month as also conceived Jack after 2 cycles post pill. This is the first time I will be trying since he was born.

I am of course petrified but found this thread a great support last time… hope this isn’t too distressing to anyone and I can join in again?

Does anyone know how to add a historic pregnancy including loss onto FF? That’s what I used before but obviously deleted all data when I knew his heart had stopped and now I want it back again to be hopefully more accurate! Premom is an app I didn’t use before so also going to try and use that this time to avoid too many triggers.

Obviously there is too much to read through since I came off about December time but hope all the ladies I was speaking too last year are all doing okay? Xx

Tillybabs · 15/06/2021 09:24

@ChinChilly I hope the sickness passes soon!

@Lovebug06 yea he's really lucky. I prepped him for having to possibly go in and do it at the clinic. He's really pleased he doesn't have to and can have some 'assistance' at home 🙈. Although I imagine if there is any issues with it, they will tell him he has to do it there!

ChinChilly · 15/06/2021 09:18

@pineapple2021 thank you, it's good to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I think I've only had one day over the last 2 weeks where I haven't been sick, I've been sick already this morning which has tipped me over the edge and I've requested a call back from my GP, feeling utterly miserable at the moment 😥

pineapple2021 · 15/06/2021 09:11

@ChinChilly to try and cheer you up..... I was the same from 6 weeks and felt nauseous all day.... I tended to wretch rather than be sick but yeh was only able to eat small amounts and it wasn't great stuff except some fruit..... week 14 I woke up one day and it had totally gone and I'm a new woman so it really will get better!!!

Lovebug06 · 15/06/2021 09:01

@Tillybabs I've just read that last update and whaaat! My dh has had to wait to go in, he even asked if he could do that as we aren't far. As we have had trouble with the SA wanted it done quicker this time. I wonder why some allow that and not othersShock

Lovebug06 · 15/06/2021 08:59

@Tillybabs sorry to hear AF arrived, its good your x Ray is soon x
@kay00 sorry to hear that, hope your okay today ♥️

I'm 14dpo. The last couple of cycles I've come on a day later randomly though so I won't think anything if it doesn't arrive today. Stomach is aching. Not cramping though.
I know it won't happen, but I am dreading how I'm going to feel still as I know I'll still feel terrible, but it is what it is. Feel okay about it at the moment.

Have a lovely day all ♥️

Tillybabs · 15/06/2021 08:54

@Kay00 well I'm hoping for your bfp but if not, then it will be nice to share our experience around the same time.

My OH has to give his SA but luckily he can do it at home and take it in within the hour. We are round the corner from the hospital so it's not too bad.

Kay00 · 15/06/2021 08:34

@Tillybabs no, not yet. If AF starts today then I will book mine in too - we can be HyCoSy buddies Grin

Tillybabs · 15/06/2021 08:08

@Kay00 yes the hycosy test. Can't wait for some answers at least.

Have you had yours?

Sorry to hear that, I was really hoping you would have a BFP. It will happen soon

Kay00 · 15/06/2021 06:36

@lovebug06 thanks for sharing your story about your friend, it does indeed give me hope!

@tillybabs is this your HyCoSy? Exciting that you are making progress 😁

Still no AF and spotting has dried up a bit. But I had a bit of a temp drop this morning and I did and IC and FRER with FMU and through my blurry morning eyes I'm pretty sure they are both.... BFN.

I'm going to assume yesterday's lines were evaps rather than I had a chemical as I could never tell if there was any colour in the lines.

Happy Tuesday ladies!

Tillybabs · 14/06/2021 23:45

@Kay00 I’m so sorry for the spotting. You really do deserve some good news soon.

AF came for me and I have my first X-rays booked in for exactly 14 days from when it started. I’ve been told to use contraception before but to be honest I don’t ovulate cd 14 anyway so wouldn’t be concerned but will make sure just in case to use condoms

Lovebug06 · 14/06/2021 21:39

Oops to my dodgy spelling at the end. My phone went crazy Grin

Lovebug06 · 14/06/2021 21:38

@kat668 thanks so much,
It is hard. Those that don't want it or aren't fussed get it easily and then there's others wanting it so badly who can't seem to!
Just life I guess, but hard to take sometimes.
@Kay00 oh I'm so sorry to hear about the spotting. You'd deserve it so much. Its not fully here yet I'm guessing so there's still some hope♥️
And wow to your 9 hour walk, in the heat as well!
@ChinChilly sorry to hear your suffering with bad sickness. I hope it passes soon for you x
@WhirlingD ah I like a good story of people that tried for ages and then it happened ♥️

Another one I found out a couple of days ago.
An old college friend, I assumed had had ivf. But turned out she tried for 4 years and just before they were going for ivf she found out she was pregnant.
These stories are what I try to think of to keep me ppositive so I thought I'd tell yyoun

ChinChilly · 14/06/2021 20:25

@MissM94 I can keep some things down, mainly in the morning but I struggle to keep anything down from late afternoon and I really don't want to eat anything at all. I'm trying the anti nausea bands, they worked well yesterday but not so much today.

@Juno231 I think I'll need to speak to the midwife or doctor tomorrow, tbh it's making me utterly miserable, I can't get anything at work or around the house done and I can't remember the last time i ate a balanced meal.

@Kay00 sorry about the spotting, i had everything firmly crossed for you!

Moocher90 · 14/06/2021 18:06

@Kay00 fingers crossed it’s a BFP xx

Moocher90 · 14/06/2021 18:03

@Juno231 i’m CD9 today and despite it not being strong really the OPK at both ends are quite equal in colour. Will continue to test and BD anyway as think it’s still early for me to ovulate but my stick is progressing so fingers crossed it will be earlier then CD20

My endo is upping my levothyroxine as my TSH still isn’t as low as they want it to be.

Juno231 · 14/06/2021 17:34

@SkeletonSkins good shout!

@Moocher90 how's ovulation coming along?

@ChinChilly sorry you're feeling so ill, remember that you can get meds for it from the midwife if you're feeling really terrible.

SkeletonSkins · 14/06/2021 17:06

@Kay00 fingers crossed for you, either way you’ve had a good length cycle and ovulated successfully so that’s a great sign!

CD 7 here nothing to report. Think I’m going to start OPKs from cd 10 since I know I normally ovulate later.

Kay00 · 14/06/2021 15:30

@Juno231 it would certainly be a step in the right direction.

I'll keep you updated with what happens, but if this is CD1 then I'll need to book in my HyCoSy... eek!

Juno231 · 14/06/2021 15:18

@kay00 poo! But you're not out until you're out... If it was a CP it's also a good sign to be fair that now your body is ovulating properly you are finally catching that egg! Next one could be the lucky one even if this one doesn't pan out xxx

Kay00 · 14/06/2021 15:13

I certainly spoke too soon. More spotting today, and bright red this time Sad. I am going to assume I am 14DPO and those tests were evaps.

MissM94 · 14/06/2021 14:38

@ChinChilly you poor girl 😩 I hope it clears up for you soon! Are you managing to find something you can keep down or is just everything coming up?

@Kay00 so you're very experienced in the spotting front?! 😂 aww I just hope it is something though!

Juno231 · 14/06/2021 14:29

@Kay00 partly because the temps look a lot more like post O temps at that point - even though I know you normally have quite low temps.

Kay00 · 14/06/2021 13:51

@Juno231 hmm, do you think? My low temps before CD15 could be down to be camping at the time. But then my 2nd temp rise coincided with my Covid vaccine, so I just put it down to that - haha!

Either way, those lines are only barely visible, so I'm not getting excited just yet... but secretly have my fingers crossed!

Juno231 · 14/06/2021 13:10

@Kay00 I'd say OD was on CD19 and you're only 10DPO now! Fingers crossed this is it - you'd deserve this!!!
