@Moocher90 I think you would be fine if you were pregnant tbh. I've read that the placenta doesn't form or work properly until around 6 weeks, so anything you eat or drink before that wouldn't pass to baby. I can't see the hot tub being an issue that early either really.

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow I think I will only be 8DPO on Friday when I go so probably not enough for a positive test so maybe just have to wait until the Sunday. That’s on the basis i ovulate 2mo. I will feel conflicted though as what if I am pregnant and drink and also use the hot tub? AF isn’t due until 6th July. At the mo I’m having 30 day cycles

No risk of that with my OH he has barely been getting any since we lost Jack so I think he will take full advantage of me actually saying yes in the fertile window 😂

@Juno231 that sounds rubbish! At least they are starting the process for IVF now though I suppose, so positive in that respect.

My HyCoSy is booked for Tuesday 22nd ... so soon! Feels like progress though. I'm hoping it is able to provide some answers, but I'm hoping it doesn't show anything that isn't un-fixable. I'm also concerned that I might still be on my period (i'll be CD7, so thats no unheard of for me).... as surely no one wants to have to have to deal with my AF Floof! But apparently they will... they're 'used to it'!

@charwils every other day vs every day doesn't really matter unless OH has a low count - in which case every 2-3 days is recommended. Personally I go for every other as OH does lose his mojo and I'd hate for him to not be in the mood by the time the peak actually comes round.

@Juno231 brilliant so I shouldn't be alarmed with no positive opk at the moment.

Should I DTD every day or every other day? I think I did every other day last time but was thinking every day would be better but read something about abstinence causing better sperm quality if every other day?

@Moocher90 I think ahead like that as well - this cycle I keep thinking it would be amazing if I got a bfp on Sunday for father's day....

@CharWils It certainly means your body is gearing up for it. EWCM is caused by oestrogen so it would be giving you flashing smileys on the CB alerting you to BD. It could still be a few days off though, at times I have 5 days of EWCM before a peak OPK.

CD11 for me today. DTD this morning. OPK negative this morn and this afternoon but I do have egg white discharge, should this mean that ovulation is imminent and I should expect to see a peak on OPKs soon? Feel very out of touch with this all now, I was like a scientist last time 😂

So my OPKS are low now after my peak so I’m really hoping my body ovulated and I wake up to a high temperature in the morning x I’ve got a hen do next weekend that involves staying in a lodge of two groups of 6 and drinking cocktails and sitting in hot tubs xx looking forward to the break away but would make my day if I found out I was pregnant. My RHR is sky high more so then ever….

@Lovebug06 I'm sorry AF showed - it never gets easier :/ Our reactions change towards it but either way it chips away at our hopes and dreams. Remind me, what did you have to do to start TTC? Did you have endometriosis or something similar?

As predicted my period came yesterday. I strangely haven't even cried. I am cycle 19 and don't really feel like there's that much hope anymore, although of course when your waiting you can't help but have a little inside. Try to be positive, but ultimately don't feel like it will actually happen?

I do wonder if I'll ever have a period not turn up and get to test and actually see two lines. Right now it feels like a far away dream.

A year with the hospital so I could be able to get pregnant, then 19 cycles, it has been way over 2 and a half years since I began this whole journey. Some won't count my first year, but it was part of my journey to be able to have a baby, so I do.

I just feel a bit numb today.

So they called 71 min late in the end and it was so shit lol. Purely a recap of my current situation/lap results... what's the point of that?

She said next steps would be IVF but that it's very invasive and they'll only consider it once 2 years have gone. How long have you been trying she then asks me - I point out 2 years is next month (per their records anyway lol, they don't need to know I'll only be 20 cycles in then) and she went "oh, well I guess I could refer you to the funding assessment".

I asked for her to get that process rolling and asked what the timelines are (seeing as I was worried I might have to postpone it due to the new job) and she said it takes a month to just get the paperwork and then they follow an 18 week pathway for IVF but it might be longer due to covid... so def getting that ball rolling now!

@Kay00 I had my vaccines in January and March and didn't notice any difference those months but I was still on the pill at the time. This was my first "real" AF in about 14 years because I caught first month off the pill with my daughter so never actually had a period. Maybe it is what I would've been having if I hadn't been on the pill. If so it's a major improvement because they used to be horrific haha.

I have had 3 x days of spotting (very light, but dark red/brown old blood), A flash of red blood after sex yesterday, then nothing, then 1 x clot last night, then nothing again? I wonder if this is the effect of the vaccine?

@kay00 yeah you can do hycosy any time of the month but they like it to be post AF just to be double/triple sure you're not pregnant.

It’s so hard to DTD let alone when you trying for baby number 2 😂

I just have to contest with DH shifts and stay up late to be able to DTD 😂

@Moocher90 oh fingers crossed for ovulation! If it happens in the next couple of days do you think you'll have covered it OK?
We are literally staying in a caravan with family, sharing a bed with our 3 year old so hoping ovulation doesn't happen early this month for us! Would have literally zero chance haha.

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow my AF was weird this cycle. Normally have 4 days of bleeding but only had 2. On CD11 and getting ovulation pains so hoping it’s imminent. My opk reader on premom suggests I got a peak reading today . Will test with my CB monitor 2mo though as well as got a flashing smiley this morning.

I'm away at the moment with family so not keeping up with the thread very well.
Cd5 today, AF ended yesterday but it was odd, very very light. Only really had 1 day off full bleeding, other days was slight (enough to need a pad but a tampon would've hurt). Based on last cycles data I'm due to ovulate around next Thursday / Friday. Jumping on OH from the weekend haha!!

@CharWils I came off the mini pill in march to TTC for #1. Turned 30 this year. Had 49 days till my first AF then had a 27 day cycle. Tried OPKs this month, said I ovulated on either Saturday or Sunday so now in the TWW! :)

@TheDaydreamBelievers I can imagine you are finding it very triggering at the moment! Happy for you to message me privately if you want to keep talking and find it easier.

Bless you - how many days from finding out until medical then? Jack was in me for 3 days including day of finding out and giving birth to him and that was probably the most traumatic part apart from not having him now so I really feel for you.

That's awful they only count it from December regarding for fertility treatment, guess that counts me out if I need any NHS help this time also 😢

How much are private tests? Sounds like it could be worth it.

@CharWils conceived in September, found out at 12 week scan in november, surgery at v end of November. Then 9 weeks to test negative. The NHS will scan me at some point for cycle length but will not offer anything in relation to fertility until we have been trying over a year, which they will now count from Dec 2020 as they only count from after the loss. So, just really flat and over it all. Have been away from this thread a lot because even though everyone is lovely im just struggling with it. Thinking of going private for testing.
