He said it in a very caring way ladies. It was all in the past and would have stayed there other than the fact it was very relevant. It's over a grand more for the icsi which would mean we wouldn't want to go for it (because it's likely to need more than one cycle). We're essentially saying we're willing to put the money in for two cycles this year and then have the NHS one when we become eligible. I felt quite sorry for him and the girls. The recent one was someone he'd been seeing off tinder and it must have been horrible for them both and even more horrible for him now he's stuck in a situation where he wants a baby and isn't getting one. We had a really good chat afterwards and I was just so pleased he opened up really. He was obviously anxious about saying anything because he didn't want to hurt my feelings but I don't think I really feel all that much about other than sorry anyone had to go through that. We had a huge todo at the beginning of our relationship because his most previous ex was very much on the scene - they're in a band together - I'd have been mortified if it was her - that was very complicated but all resolved now and she's marrying the other former eligible bachelor from the band tomorrow!

So yeah, I'm fine and I think we'll get there! It makes more sense why he was more reluctant with the supplements etc - he has every reason to believe his sperm are good. It's bloody typical though isn't it! I've told him he has to put his super sperm to better use then! No more excuses on the DTD front. Every. Other. Day. Thank-you-sir!

@kaylsd I can't get early referral as low ovarian reserve doesn't qualify plus my FSH is normal. So it's a case of get referred at 12 months but local people saying they're only just now booking in December referrals into gynae.
It's really expensive down here! £200 wouldn't get me much at all but I've had most of the blood tests and when you book in for an initial consultation you pay for that and they do the scan which is mostly focused on the antral follicle count. So long as that looks alright, we'll be accepted but I'm a bit borderline as to whether I'll be accepted or not. They need AMH to be 12+ and mine is 12.3 so just hoping my follicles look alright!
What is WRONG with your MIL. Bitch needs a slap!
I've been reading a lot about the Covid jab and ovulation and it's moved into #1 suspect position for causing a delay. I've attached my chart and you can see that it had a massive effect on me because I'd had paracetamol and everything before bed. Inflammation can have a big impact on ovulation so I reckon it's that. I was really rough with it. Think I have quite a strong immune response to stuff. I always get ill but recover quickly. Suspect #2 is b6 and sneaky suspect #3... STRESS. Oh it's been a week alright!
Enjoy your amazing afternoon treat and hope you don't get shipped off to outer Mongolia for your rounds over next 4 days! Xxx

@minthumbugs 🥂 cheers to new beginnings and project completion! We've just had all new windows this week so house as almost done. It's a great feeling. We were supposed to be cycle buddies this time 😂 I still hope it's implantation and not AF but you know your body best. Yeah it will be the year which doesn't seem that long but I just think it's time to bite the bullet. Obviously hoping for a miracle in between ☺️
Sorry about the results. I empathise with you not wanting to chase it up as well under the circumstances but I hope they're able to give you some closure soon lovely.

@kitty0389 🤞 it's the last TWW for you! Hope the results come through all clear. How is the extension going?

Thank you so much @kaylsd! 😘 I've just been on an investigation on the phone to about 100 different departments being passed about, no one seemed to know what to do with me. But eventually I got a lovely lady who is going to email a consultant and hopefully they will phone me back next week 🤞🏻

kaylsd · 21/05/2021 10:46

@minthumbugs

It was when I was in hospital just after the MC *@kaylsd*, so well over 4 months ago now! I think they mentioned something about 20 weeks seems to have stuck in my head but it's been just over 20 I think now. Maybe you can help as you used to work in that setting, do you know where I would phone? They did say the tests would be sent to a different hospital as well so that confuses things further 🙈
@minthumbugs Ring the pathology lab of the trust they said the results they were sent to incase your GP does not have access to the same result data record, as my trust only deals with tests from my trust and not external :) if they have them back ask them to forward the results to your GP

If it's for MC, we used to send things off for cytogenetic testing so im presuming it would be similar testing following miscarriage if they say they don't know which results they are looking for xx
@kaylsd sorry missed your post, was on a previous page. It could be related to low progesterone actually, I had longer cycles and longer LPs before MC but have pretty much always had a bit of spotting before AF. I know low progesterone is linked to early miscarriages but not sure where I stand with that as my last one was later on in the pregnancy... Still no test results back, so don't know anymore about what caused it. Love the lyrics ❤️

Thank you @Tangfastic91. X
How longs it been since you had the tests done darling could it be worth ringing up to see if they have gone missing? I know within our nhs trust bloods tend to get reported between 2-3 working days, scans are around 7 days depending on which scan, and sample analysis is around 7 days, don't worry about missing the post (worry pls cry your eyes out I'm well upset ;)) naaa I'm kidding we always get back to each other when we can :D I hope we all get some answers soon because been stuck in the land of unknown is rubbbishhhhhh, sending hugs

kaylsd · 21/05/2021 10:01

@Cyclogoose drop the mic that's abit of a bombshell to place! I hope your okay hunny? I'm sorry to hear your cycle has gone abit wonky after MC they do say it can do that though sometimes? I can't say from personal experience but I'm sending hugs! You can pay for private fertility screen on behalf of you both and I'm sure a private consultation with a fertility clinic is around roughly 200 pound I've heard from many people on here? There's also packages where you can be refunded if unsuccessful but I'm hoping it won't come to that, do you feel abit better now you've attended that webinar and have abit more insight? Can you get a second opinion from a GP to be referred before you go privately as you've got indications of problems? As my GPS sent ours and we've been trying the same length :(?

@Kitty0389 thank you darling I like being open and transparent about these things as it's such a taboo where little people talk about infertility -
Terms of us we are really positive, gonna have a blow out this week then we're both trying different ways lifestyle to try and improve before hubs next SA in august, got my covid vac booked in as i may aswell get it out of the way and I'll be all dosed up by august too!

@CycloGoose
Remember summer being a positive on the readings? I wish they saw this rollercoaster coming 🤣🤣🤣 we've told both side of parents we are getting referred into fertility clinic but going forward we won't be disclosing details as it's personal and quite emotional with the next steps ahead we will inform of positive news if it comes to it but we don't want to talk about the things inbetween, they just turned round and said they don't know what to say 👀 you know what his side are like track history, his mum said swiftly after that how half of her street have new born babies now, my face were like 🙃🙃🙃 do you have no filter

But we are going to remain positive the best we can as it's out of our control 🥰 plus I've got my internet sisterhood to rant to if I need to ;)

Hope everyone is alright ladies, just getting sorted this morning before I work next 4, hubs taking me out for a afternoon date day inside a restaurant shut the front door it's been too long 🤣🤣🤣

@CycloGoose whaaaaat?! Your hubby?! That's a bit of a bombshell 😱 in 3 months time will that be you at around a year TTC? Glad you got some info on IVF, sounds like you've pretty much made your mind up. Will you try private first and then if no luck do NHS after? No AF yet but definitely on the way. I actually wish it would just hurry up and get it over with, I have been so irritable and emotional the last few days and I know it will be a physical relief 😭 my big project at work has finally come to an end thank god 🥳 so if AF comes today I'll have the full new beginnings feeling. X

Ohhh @Kitty0389 back again so soon. Good luck this time round 🤞🏻 we're only human lol, DTD can only be so fun when it becomes a chore! Hope your results come back soon. X

Kitty0389 · 21/05/2021 09:15

@CycloGoose wow that's quite the bombshell from your OH :-O . I hope you're ok with that, it's a lot to take in.

I think I did ovulate either yesterday or the day before (CD9 or CD10) - I have to admit that the BD was a little forced this week as I've been super stressed with work. We tried to make it as fun as we could... So onto the TWW for me, feels like I'm constantly in it!
No results on the SA yet, hoping we will hear from the GP soon as that will obviously change our plans a bit.
@minthumbugs I hope AF stays away and it's your lucky month.
@Kaylsd thanks so much for sharing your journey. I hope your cycles settle and things work out.

CycloGoose · 21/05/2021 08:56

How's everyone doing? So glad it's Friday!

@minthumbugs did AF arrive? Really hope not.

@kaylsd that sodding pill has a lot to answer for! How are you both feeling?

@Kitty0389 did you ovulate earlier as expected? How did it go with the SA?

@mammaj21 what are your thoughts on ov?

I've not ovulated. Lowest temp yet today but I'm feeling good it's Friday. We're back on the DTD wagon. Went to an IVF webinar last night and that's spurred us into action.

We've kind of settled on a plan which is to test my dhea levels and supplement if it looks likely to help. We'll try that probably for 3 months and then move on to IVF if no joy. Try up to 2 cycles self-funded so can have the third with NHS still.

Were talking about icsi and the extra cost of that but hubs is confident in his swimmers since he's impregnated two different women before! Neither of whom I knew about until yesterday. One in his teens but also one in his thirties 🤦🏼‍♀️ At least he's talking now!

Tangfastic91 · 20/05/2021 13:02

@minthumbugs so sorry, that suucks! But great that you can tell ovulation based on symptoms. Good luck for June!

kaylsd · 20/05/2021 12:10

Ps I'm gonna get all the details about PCOs when we go, as my inflammation and my insulin was normal so drs believe it's post pill PCOS which can settle within time potentially 🤞🏻

kaylsd · 20/05/2021 12:07
@kaylsd that's great news and so quick too! Ra

ndomly I just saw something come up on FB about PCOS improving with avoiding gluten? I don't know accurate that is but it may be worth looking into for you! Gives you questions to ask at your appointment with the clinic at least. 🤷‍♀️

The same spotting I had last month before AF has appeared for me. I have mixed feelings, it means I did ovulate when I thought I did based on natural signs which is nice! But also that LP is still short. Full AF will probably appear tomorrow. Onto the next. Xx
Aww hun, do you think your spotting is linked towards low progesterone? Have you had any day 21 bloods done to support that? Sending lots of love always, was listening to my Alexa whilst making a cheesecake again (made one last weekend for the girly bbq but hub was disappointed that he didn't have any so I've had to make us both one 🤣🤣) and that rise up song came on by andra day came on and wow i found it so touching I had the biggest lump in my throat!

Here's a little something to remind you no matter what your going through now in a few years time you will have forgot all of these bits inbetween xxx

Morning ladies hope you lovely lot are well!

Been doing some research and reading this morning and decided to take the plunge and book my covid vaccine in since everything's just waiting around now for appointments I should be able to get my first and second dose in before anything starts up with my next journey 😘 let's hope I don't feel too shitty with it as I've known so many feeling horrible including @CycloGoose but yep the first and second dose are officially booked in, roll on next Wednesday 😳😂✨💁🏼‍♀️

kaylsd · 19/05/2021 20:47
@CycloGoose Ah man. any signs of ov today? None with me. Really wondering whether the other day was it and it just didn't seem quite as dark...or maybe I'm going to ovulate late....or not at all?! haha don't know what to think.
Wish it was easier.

Do you ladies tend to use opks t a certain time of day? and do you do it twice a day??

@kaylsd I'm glad you are being referred now so that everything can be looked into.
@MammaJ21
Thanks lovely, gonna have a week off eating healthy with hub as it's been a rollercoaster this week and gonna tackle the eating healthy healthy egg and sperm mission in ways we can with old wife tales until everything comes through :)! How are you getting along with things? Xx

minthumbugs · 19/05/2021 19:24

@MammaJ21 I don't do twice a day! But I was using cheapies up until crunch time then using CB in the morning. I did also use a cheapie in the afternoon on the days I got static smileys to confirm! I picked a one hour window and tried to always do it within that time. X

@CycloGoose

I'm on day 22 and nothing doing *@mammaj21* I think sometimes our bodies just do our heads in.

You're right @kaylsd sperm gets completely replaced every 3 months so I'm sure he can make inroads. Plus there'll be other options like sperm washing and stuff. You're gonna get there, I know it! But totally frustrating right now and hope you get properly bumped up the waiting list with a quick referral.

Xxx

Managed to get the referral sent off today! Wooooopppp I don't know how long it'll be but yeah todays a good day for us as we feel like we've been at a standstill for so long, sorry to hear your cycle has been abit wap ive got the sisterhood t shirt for that ;) I hope your ovaries kick start soon for that lil egg to go on a hunt 🤞🏻🙈
kaylsd · 19/05/2021 17:53

@Tangfastic91

Great news *@kaylsd* I hope they are able to help you get that BFP :)
Thank you darling that's the end goal hopefully! My gp needed consent from hub too for the referral so once he rang up this afternoon it's formally been sent off, just a waiting game now through the post of when it'll be 😘
kaylsd · 19/05/2021 17:52

@minthumbugs

Woooohooooo *@kaylsd*. It's obviously not how you expected or wanted your ttc journey to go but I'm so happy that you have been referred, especially pre-12 months. That's great news!
thanks hunny were so happy that we feel like we are officially moving forward with the next steps we need to take with our TTC journey it might not be the way we first expected it but least we are going to be into a system what can try help us achieve our happily ever after bub 🤞🏻✨🥰 ps so proud of the willpower to avoid the POAS you've got this girl 😘

Hey there lovelies little catch up for you!

Being finally referred in now for fertility clinic 💖😘😘😘😘 it's been a long bloody journey to prove that I have PCOS - they have finally diagnosed me! But also they have acknowledged we have indications of male infertility also so we meet the CCG requirements for the referral to be made prior to 1 year of TTC :)

I don't know how long it'll take to come in the post but least I know that's the next step for us guys! Just at work so will reply properly later xxx
