Agree @minthumbugs it's also weird to ask other about babies not only because of fertility . People used to ask me a lot about 'when we're having kids' and the problem was that my OH hasn't asked me yet/we haven't had that conversation. And it was putting pressure on my with people's comments.

Also I've asked my friend once 'when's she having a second' (her baby is 6 months old) and she said she's only had sex with husband about 5 times and she seemed upset about it. I kept my mouth shut since then.
We've no idea what others are going through, maybe a couple are having a rough patch and people are annoying them with questions of a baby.

It's weird because no one would ask an obese person 'when are they losing weight' or an old person 'when are they moving to aged person home'

minthumbugs · 25/05/2021 08:42

Omg I can't keep up the last few days!

@Iloveoreos that's good that you have an appointment coming up, some much needed answers soon!

@kaylsd I'm ready to send my uterus a strongly worded email 🙄 shall we make a group one signed by us all and cc everyone's? 🤣 Enjoy your couple of days off 😘

Aww @CycloGoose you've been so busy! Roll on the weekend already 🙈 woop woop to ovulation, here comes the wait 🤞🏻

@Veronika13 wow that is absolutely horrendous about Michelle Keegan. I'm always really careful with people I know, when friends get married etc I never ever bring up 'oh when's the baby?' and my partner is always desperate for one of our friends to have kids so our LO has someone to play with but I'm like noooo don't bring it up just in case!

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange I'd introduce myself but you already know 😏 as Kayls says we have definitely had some moments, I dread to think... Some of us have been chatting since Feb 🙈 there have been so many ups and downs, lots have left us with BFPs and some of us have struggled at times but I don't know what I would do without! ❤️ That's good news you have a fertility check booked, whereabouts are you in your cycle just now?

Woweeee @Purpleshoes123 congrats! That's really strong!

kaylsd · 25/05/2021 08:40
@kaylsd yes I've been following all threads and your in laws are one of a kind! Things they come out with Shock
Your husband seems to be supportive though! I'd tell them it's their pressure stops
You from getting pregnant 😁

I also have pcos (AHM levels 70), drs are not doing anything though as I'm 'only ttc since feb'. Are you having any treatment for it ?
I would have love to turn round and say that to them but I don't think I'd get much of a response back from them tbh 🤣 we've said stuff in the past, the last funny bit when we were telling my FIL I have PCOS so it's difficult for me to ovulate and he just turn round and said do you think it's because your trying too hard? I felt the tumbleweed across the floor at that moment 😳🤣

I'm not on anything for my PCOS other than my supplements, I take ovulation support supplements which are meant to be good for PCOS as they have the inositol in them but I'm not insulin resistant but I still take them and a multi vitamin for conception :)! I just end up being in limbo land for some times as I don't ovulate regularly and I've tried every trick in the book to try 🤣

@Purpleshoes123

Thanks *@Veronika13 and @kaylsd* Yes OH knows I looked at the test the same time as him, he's really happy but mostly impressed with his sperm after he had a fever for 4 days just before my FW! We thought they may have been damaged after him being ill, but turns out they were fine 😊
Just shows he must have had his superman cape on those swimmers to conquer a illness and still get the job done 🤣🤣😘
Tangfastic91 · 25/05/2021 08:30

@Purpleshoes123 congrats! Lovely to see good news :)

Veronika13 · 25/05/2021 08:15

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange I don't think you're OTT thinking of ivf! My friend started thinking of it after 4 months.

I'm ttc since feb. how old are you? Are you using opks? I only use Flo app for now. I'm 34

And welcome ☺️

@Purpleshoes123

Hi everyone! Got my BFP!!!

Just thought I would let you know symptoms I had leading up to it.

2dpo left sided cramps
4dpo dizziness, stabbing pain in left breast
5-8dpo cramps
10dpo a little bit nauseous

Thank you all for being here to chat to, you are all so lovely. I hope to see some more BFPs soon 🤞🏼

Omg congratulations sweetheart!!! That is deffo a BFP!! I'm praying for a sticky baby for you and a happy and healthy nine months 🥰🤞🏻💖
kaylsd · 25/05/2021 08:14

@Veronika13

So many recognised 'faces' here (names)! Although hoping we won't stay here for long

@Purpleshoes123 12dpo ! Rooting for you - hoping it's your month. Let us know how you get on.

@kaylsd that's nice and unusual that you're open about ttc. I also want to share it with my friends/family but I'm not sure why I'm scared - maybe there needs to be a change and we need to talk about it. I really want to share with my best friend but just can't say the words. Also my mum is annoying me with her 'time goes reallllyyyy fast.....you don't have forever' talk 🙄🙄🙄

Ps i know about the pressure thing from the family too well! My inlaws are to politely phrase it, arseholes. My MIL has a tendency to have word vomit sort of speak around us where she has no filter towards our TTC situation and the difficulties we've recently had come to light of how hard it may be for us for a baby, she says things straight after we tell her like half of her streets got newborn babies, like thanks for that insight whilst I have PCOS and don't ovulate and your son may have a degree of male infertility 🙃
kaylsd · 25/05/2021 08:11

@Veronika13

On another note Michelle Keegan and her husband celebrated 6 year anniversary and some of the comments from people are awful! 'No baby yet?' 'He should really take her to the doctors' 'They need to be open about their infertility'

I can't imagine how it must feel for her! Maybe she doesn't want kids (although she's never said that so it's unlikely), maybe she can't get pregnant. Maybe she's had several miscarriages. Jeez imagine trying to go see a specialist and be so paranoid photographers will snap photos outside!

It's awful the media sometimes with how they are it reminds me of a thing I saw one where it was a lady who was shamed on tv because she just did not want to be a mum and there's nothing wrong with that choice either! Got to say though Michelle and him will make beautiful babies one day if that's what they wanted to do🥰🥰
Veronika13 · 25/05/2021 08:08

Omg omg @Purpleshoes123 !!!!!!!! Congratulations 🎉😍🎉 I am so happy for you, you must be thrilled!
How are you feeling? Told OH? ☺️

kaylsd · 25/05/2021 08:07

@KatieLooLa

And here is the hoe 😂...
I'm howling, he actually looks like he can pull the makeup off perfectly! On point 💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️🤣
kaylsd · 25/05/2021 08:03

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange hey there lovely lady, welcome to the mad gang! Your dedication has amazed me to read back through the pages, we've had some right moments in them 🤣❤️

In terms of the treatment options I think it's more to do with factors of things individually, like if you are a contributing factor as to why you haven't caught on the questions being like do you ovulate do you need medication to make you ovulate do you have any medical reasons any TTC is difficult which then can limit things, same for your partner if he ends up also being a factor it may limit the treatment route if there's any issues with his sperm on quality or quantity or speed it may mean the least invasive supports like medical inducing treatments like clomid or letrazole may be ineffective and consider going down the routes of IVF/ICSI, hopefully it won't come to that route for you thou fingers and toes crossed it might just need a little bit more time 🥰

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 25/05/2021 04:41

Hey all!

Late to the party but I have read the WHOLE thread (all 11 pages) between 3:30am and now so I feel like I know you all (albeit in a stalkery way!). Some of the posts are hilarious and it’s not easy to make TTC lighthearted so well done everyone!

I’ve been TTC since September. I have a nearly 3yo little boy who was unplanned, so in cycle 1 of TTC back in September I was walking around assuming I was pregnant. And 9 months later here I still am... @Aries491 I keep thinking about the school lie thing too. I saw all the videos of the sperm meeting the egg etc but real sperm don’t seem to be quite as good at their ONE JOB as we were told!

Partner and I have booked private fertility check for in 1 month, and I’m really hoping we find some sort of sortable reason we’re not pregnant. I’ve read a bit about fertility treatment - I’ve seen there’s loads more options than just IVF but IVF seems to be the main option. Is that because the other options aren’t that successful? @CycloGoose you seem to be the resident expert - do you know?

I know I’m jumping the gun a little bit thinking about ivf but 9 months of TTC feels like such a long time and I now don’t have any expectation or hope that I’m pregnant each month - I think my brain has shut the hope down as the AF disappointment was getting too much!

Thanks for having me - crossing my fingers for you all! Xx

Iloveoreos · 25/05/2021 03:29

@CycloGoose no im back on inositol. So from what i was told, they give clomid if you dont ovulate by yourself at all but give you letrazole if you do but need some help with regulating it...i.e if metaformin isnt working.

Omg I've literally been at work for 14 hours today with commute on top! Not sure I can catch up properly!

@kaylsd funny memes and thank you so much for welcoming all the new ladies! Enjoy the days off! Half term get here already please! With 1 + all I think you'll get 1 egg collection but as many total transfers as you have embryos. 🤞 doesn't get to that.

@Kitty0389 mine are pretty strict as well. Hope it doesn't come to that darling. 🤞 For your TWW.

@minthumbugs oh that's so annoying. I really hope it doesn't coincide with your consultant appointment. That would be a real downer!

@Iloveoreos missed you loads lovely. Hope consultant has some answers. Will they try clomid you think? Have you stopped the inositol completely?

@KatieLooLa thanks for sharing photos! Sounds like a great evening!

@Purpleshoes123 +opk was my first sign when I had MC so 🤞🤞🤞

@Rinylou I use OvuSense - worth checking that out before settling on Ava or tempdrop (only from US) see what might work best for you.

Hello @ everyone. Thanks for sharing your stories and big love for everyone at our different stages of the journey!

I should be on AF today 🤦🏼‍♀️ think I may have ovulated instead though 🤞🥂 My steepest rise (bar covid-jab-gate) so I'm hoping it is a sign of a ripe and juicy egg 🥚🥚🥚 🤣

Hugs and baby dust ✨💫✨💫✨

And that's it! Been home half an hour, eaten, written on here and now bed 🥱😴🤦🏼‍♀️

@kaylsd hey and thanks for the welcome! I’m on CD13 and no sign of a positive OPK yet. Did the BD the other day and will BD again later today and then maybe every day after that? Trying to work it all out tbh! Sounds like this is a lovely group no matter how long we might need to stick around

kaylsd · 24/05/2021 19:27
@kaylsd thanks for the welcome! I know, so naive to think how easy it would be! It really is a miracle when it happens. Oh I've not bought that super posh one just the pack of the flashy smiley tests, couldn't justify spending a fortune when so new at this. Let's see how compliant my ovaries are after AF finishes and I move onto the next cycle!! Hope you have a lovely few days off and have nice weather wherever you are, i'm hoping this next week passes quickly, see the end of AF and a bank holiday :-)
@Aries491 I think it's a strong likelihood of rain at some point it tends to be lovely in morning and lovely in the evening but it seems so inconsistent all the times between 🤣 but thank you darling 🥰 my friends just sent me this attachment on Facebook and it's made me well up a little bit... our someday is round the corner 🥰💖💁🏼‍♀️🤞🏻
