@Aries491

Afternoon ladies hope everyone is well! I for sure am ready for a bank holiday :-) got my cb opk delivery today so just patiently (or not) waiting for AF to leave then can start the fun part!! I know the leaflet says when to start using them based on cycle (and luckily I am regular) but I've read some women start as soon as AF finished just to cover all bases, anyone think that is worthwhile? Sending baby dust as always to us all :) x
I'm sure with the CB they may recommend starting from after period to gather what your baseline is so it can tell a difference when the surge is about to happen? I'm not too sure as I've never gone to the posh ones being the CB 🤣🙈
PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 26/05/2021 18:53

@Veronika13 thanks for the reassuring vape info!! That’s one future argument I can cross off my to do list!

Mousey3 · 26/05/2021 17:30

@kaylsd great, thanks for your advice. Still have a very faint line on my OPK today despite the EWCM but will do as you suggest. I guess we should listen to our bodies sometimes more than tests!

@minthumbugs thanks! I’ll get at it indeed :) sorry to hear about your MC but sounds like your appointment can help with the closure you need. Most positive thing is no underlying problems so sending baby dust your way Daffodil

Aries491 · 26/05/2021 16:57

@minthumbugs nothing much, probably buying some stuff for the rooms we have been decorating. Just spending money as my OH says...how about yourself?

My cycle is usually 29-31 days so pretty standard from what I can gather, probably can use the leaflet guide then :)

I am glad your appointment was the best outcome for you and your family with no underlying problems. Definitely good for you to have that and be able to move on Flowers

minthumbugs · 26/05/2021 14:24

@kaylsd how can you make me want to cry and laugh all in one message 😭🤣 thank you for the support! ❤️ And I hope your fingers are ok haha. So is that something you send away? That sounds really handy!

@Mousey3 EWCM is a good sign! Get at it, cover all bases.

@Aries491 defo looking forward to bank hol, do you have anything planned? Think it depends how long your cycle is, you'll know yourself. If you have a short cycle then maybe!

I've had my appointment! For our newbies it was an appointment with a consultant with the results of blood tests and post mortem from MC in January. Basically the baby had no abnormalities or anything and it was all caused by the placenta coming away which unfortunately was just one of those things. Was pretty much the best outcome, we know the cause but it couldn't have been helped and shows no underlying problems. 🤞🏻 I'm so glad it's been and gone, I feel like I can start moving on. X x

@Mousey3

Morning ladies, how is everyone today? I’m looking for a bit of advice and hope you lovely ladies can help. I’m on CD15 in my first ever cycle of TTC and have had four negative OPKs in the past four days. (I take them at 4pm - not sure if that’s relevant!). This morning I’ve noticed my usual EWCM around this time of the month. Is tonight the night to BD and then possibly tomorrow also? I get confused whether it should have been the two days leading up to today or now that I have the EWCM, the two days ahead, starting today. Will hopefully get a positive OPK later to confirm.
@Mousey3 morning lovely lady! Or shall I say afternoon now, they normally say when you can first spot ovulation signs like EWCM to baby dance at least every other day if possible, sperm can live up to 5 days so you are covered if you do it a little before ovulation and the day of ovulation and the SMEP method recommends the 2 days after for good measure

minthumbugs · 26/05/2021 08:53

@MammaJ21 you're quite right! The only thing for it is to treat yourself. I really hope your body gets it together soon 🤞🏻 it doesn't help when you're constantly worrying about it. X

Sorry about the BFN @Rinylou. You'll need to get on Amazon prime 🤣 I hope it turns out to be the best outcome for you and the witch stays away. X

@kaylsd been up super super early today. Think I'm just subconsciously worrying about the consultant appointment - it's today! Mixed feelings alert 😭

@minthumbugs thank you chicken I can hope for some kind of miracle before it all, you just never know these days :') how are you feeling today? I hope everything's well 💞

Rinylou · 26/05/2021 07:48

Couldn't hold out, took my last Clearblue first thing. Another stark BFN and now I have to get another one into the house secretly before my husband realises I've been taking tests on the sly 😂 Exhausted by the symptom spotting, just ready for AF to begin her approach later today...

Veronika13 · 25/05/2021 21:57

@minthumbugs MASSIVE congratulations 🥳!!! Of course tell us , that's what we're here for - to share the joy (and frustrations) 😁 amazing news for you, send any tips of tricks our way 😁 x

Veronika13 · 25/05/2021 21:56

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange my partner vapes too, I don't think it's a problem? Nicotine isn't bad apparently, it's the tar in cigarettes that's damaging?
Mine uses the sauna a lot at the gym and that's what concerns me the most, as sperm is kept in testicles which are separated from the body for a reason - sperm must be 2-3 degrees cooler than the body otherwise the heat kills the sperm.

He went for a check up at GP and got told it's too early for tests as we've been trying since feb.
🤷‍♀️

CycloGoose · 25/05/2021 21:26

I really want to reply to everyone but I'm so tired. Need my bed! Only 12hrs 45 mins today 😂😩🥱
Hubs is fine. All glued back up and surprisingly chipper.
I can't read the flow chart @kaylsd That's all exciting though. So hopeful for you XXX
Sorry not to do proper replies still! It's going to be a proper mission scrolling back and doing everyone's messages justice! Hopefully soon x

@minthumbugs Yes maybe I'm just not going to this month... so frustrating. AF due end of week so will just hopefully move forward on the next cycle

Just stuffing my face with goodies haha! How are you feeling?

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 25/05/2021 18:57

@Purpleshoes123 wow congratulations!!! So pleased for you! And @minthumbugs same to you!! Congratulations! How long were you TTC for??

Really interesting to hear what your early symptoms were. With my son I remember having period type cramps the day before I found out. I don’t even know why I did a pregnancy test but it was a SHOCK to be pregnant as it felt so much like a period.

@kaylsd thanks for the explanation of the treatment options. It’s actually really reassuring to hear all the different options that exist for different types of problems - sounds like the medical world has it all under control... fingers crossed anyway!!

@Veronika13 I’m also 33 and expecting AF on Saturday.

Do any of you have partners who smoke? My partner vapes and he really doesn’t believe it can be bad for you. I am convinced we’re not pregnant because of the bloody vape but I haven’t asked him to stop doing it yet. I figured I’d leave it to the doctor to suggest... but if he ignores the doctor there’ll be an argument brewing!! Does anyone know what the official advice is on vaping?

minthumbugs · 25/05/2021 18:49

Oh that's good @kaylsd, so if nothing by the end of the year it will all he happening! That flow chart looks veeery in-depth. You never know, it might be sooner. X

Thank you @MammaJ21 (and everyone else!) That OPK does look almost positive. You might be having a month where your body is preparing and then just not quite doing it. Hopefully this is it now, keep testing over the next few days!

Thank you so much everyone for all your nice words today, it didn't feel real until I shared it with you all. Xxxx

MammaJ21 · 25/05/2021 18:19

oh my goodness. Just having a quick scan through today. Huuuugr congratulations @minthumbugs . Sending so much positivity!

@Purpleshoes123 big congrats to you too.
sending lots of positive vibes!

So pleased for you both.

@CycloGoose hope DH head is ok?!

I've just done another opk...line Def dark but not as dark as control....so confused still ss cd 26 and not sure if a fairly dark line 2 weeks ago was my peak or whether just not ovulated at all!

Here is today's OPK.i know it's not as dark as the line but just confusing. although maybe this means AF is due which it should be end of the week so guess that ties in!

Congrats again both x
@lucea87 these are (supposed to be) the best weeks coming up for you 🤣 hopefully you get a bit more energy soon. ❤️

@kaylsd amazing news 😭😭 that was fairly quick to get your referral, you must be pleased! OMG at those waiting times - is that just to first appointment? The good thing is though it won't be as long after the year mark if you get to that thankfully since it's all happened already for you. Small silver linings! Well the laid back approach worked and I was also in a much happier mood this month 🙈 enjoy the well deserved gin, it sounds soooo nice, that's right up my street. X
No darling it's starting time for treatment for couples they put it as 9/10 couples start treatment by 27 weeks or 52 weeks like my local one said 🙈 I researched their performa guidelines on the clinic and this is what kind of schedule we will be going off with the looks!
@kaylsd the gin was well deserved!

I can't believe how long those waiting lists were! Where in the UK are you?? Definitely work a drive to get seen quicker!!
I'm in West Yorkshire darling :) my local trust is 52 weeks, Sheffield fertility at Jessops hospital is 52 weeks, Rotherham general is 52 weeks so I opted for Doncaster royal at 27 weeks 🤣🙈 when I saw it I was like dayuuuum I never even thought about that kind of things 😳
