Omg cross posted, @kaylsd that CANNOT be Mable!!!

minthumbugs · 04/06/2021 21:05

@kaylsd nothing... not a thing. nada! That is amazing news about work, that must have made you feel so good. Must be a clever cookie. Even if you don't want to do it for your own reasons it just shows you are good at your job! X

@Sandiesands sorry to hear that, time does have a funny way of slowing down when you don't want it to!

kaylsd · 04/06/2021 21:03

Anyone who knows my little mable, she's had a cut today and she looks like a completely different pooch! Her sheep curls have been sheared 🤣🙊😳 she looks so pissed off at life

@minthumbugs

Ohhh good luck *@Sandiesands*! How long have you been trying?

Happy Friday everyone, hope you are all good. X x

Happy Friday lovely lady! Hope your Friday isn't too full of tiredness or sickness with your growing little bundle 🙈🙈✨
kaylsd · 04/06/2021 20:46

@CycloGoose I think that she's the expert for the Ovusense my sweet!

I'm glad you appreciated the pun ;) I hope your journey is a short one chicken, if not I've got t shirts what I'll give on offer for a short discount as part of a long members club 😘🤣

kaylsd · 04/06/2021 20:43

@CycloGoose
I don't mind the rain chick, I'm over the moon for you guys all on here for you, absolutely love the happy ending hopefully for you all 🙊🎀✨ hopefully the stuff of fairy tales!

I cannot believe you've been putting in all those hours bless you darling :( have you managed to have some unwind down time in your half term? Try not to worry about too much going back to work, if they give you expectations that you can't achieve then they need to see the pressures and hours you've been working under to make it physically impossible for you to achieve!

I had abit of shock today at work, I got pulled into the office from the management, they've put my name forward for a secondment sisters post what they want me to apply for... I've politely declined as I don't want to work the way they've treated myself and my colleagues and I don't want to get a name for myself for being there 6 month and they are wanting me to progress yet there's people there years? They'll end up talking about me for being cheeky not being there 2 mins yet getting a more qualified post, it's not for me! I'm more front line patient lover doing anything I can for them, I'm not a office girl in a navy uniform 🙈 but it was a warming feeling to think they think so highly of me in that way but there's more negatives than positives for me 🙈

@justwant2beamum

Oops sorry forgot to attach.
@justwant2beamum the queen of PCOS diagnosis is here 😉🥰🥰🥰only kidding I've only gone through it recently that's why I have a little bit of insight 🙈

looking at your bloods I wouldn’t say your a candidate to be a cyster with me ;) sorry for being cheesy with the pun 🤣🤣🤣 for PCOS it’s usually the greater LH / FSH ratio, but in your case it’s your FSH greater than your LH which can fluctuate depending when you are in your cycle but I wouldn’t say it’s anything to worry about? With your FSH is to do with your ovarian reserve, over 10 means there is a chance for a diminished ovarian reserve and ideally IVF clinics like them at least below 10 and if it’s above 10 you might struggle to respond to medication to stimulate your ovaries, have you had a AMH blood test done too but they say anything less than 6 is really good as you are slightly out of this range (it is all age related too so depending on your age your 7 may be your normal?) might just be a slight sign your body fails to ovulate properly (with your long cycles it may be linked towards this) but it is such a vague indication of ovarian reserves so I wouldn’t worry too much looking at your results sweetheart! I hope this makes sense and I don’t want to give you any scare messages either 🙈

Sandiesands · 04/06/2021 20:24

Loving the slogan " may the eggs be in your favor" did make me chuckle.

I'm currently 6dpo and failing miserably in taking the relaxed approach. Can't wait to 9dpo so can test and get it over with and relax x

justwant2beamum · 04/06/2021 20:11

Thanks @CycloGoose I'm fuming they didn't check amh so I will be taking that up with them. They didn't actually say they were normal just a gp receptionist said they were fine and that was that. Usually they have the normal ranges on them. Yeah I'm not too worried about pcos (I don't think) as I do have quite regular periods and since tracking since jan I get a peak on opk (I know doesn't confirm ovulation but I don't really want to temp).

I've had thyroid checked and tsh is 2.48 which I'm a bit concerned about as I've heard needs to be under 2.5 for TTC so obviously that's borderline and I've heard when your pg you need your meds adjusted so surely tsh increases when pg which would then push me over to the unacceptable so I do wonder if that contributed to my mmc...

I guess I'm just searching for answers when there probably are none. I don't know.

Thanks girls

Bookbug92 · 04/06/2021 18:24

Thanks for my welcome Smile @kaylsd your message made me laugh! 🍆😂 deffo feel like I'm here for the long run and long ride!!

I had an MRI for potential endo in March last year but it all came back normal, other than that I haven't had any scans, they've said they're going to scan me at my HyCoSy 🤞🏻

I'm intrigued by the Ovusense, do you wear it all the time like a Fitbit or just at night?

CycloGoose · 04/06/2021 18:07

Firstly, try not to worry too much @justwant2beamum as your doc has said your levels are all within normal range.

If you want to test further, if you're not satisfied, I'd recommend checking your amh and your dhea-s levels. The first is more accurate about potential egg reserve (which is what you seem to be worried about) and the second could give you something to work on if the news isn't great - that was my next test. You can get both on medichecks. Or you could get a scan with antral follicle count. I'm sure you'll be dandy with your numbers though.

I think it's the lh that would be high if you had pcos but @kaylsd is the resident expert there.

I didn't get my estrogen checked so can't help on that one!

I'd ask if they could check prolactin or thyroid too but they may not as it's no longer on nice guidelines.

Let me know if I can help any more.

Xxx

justwant2beamum · 04/06/2021 17:51

Thank you @CycloGoose and @kaylsd I have attached them. I'm a bit worried about the fsh? I've read should be under 7 if your under 33yo - I'm 7.1 and 27 so still 6 years off and I'm already over 😩🥺 also read fsh and LH should be similar and mine are miles apart?

@CycloGoose work sounds mental, I hope you're looking after yourself!

CycloGoose · 04/06/2021 16:47

Oh yey @PaleGreenAndBrightOrange I'm so glad I could be helpful! I did get some work done but not enough. We're stuck in traffic on a trip to visit family so I've done another hour in the car.

Another teacher! Yey! We have not BD since ovulation though it was cd28 by that time! Was one of the hardest weeks of my career last week and I've got another killer coming up I think with reports, entrance exams and a theme week I decided it would be a good idea to organise 🤦🏼‍♀️ Should ease off after those 2 weeks though. Just hoping I make it through without needing the hospital like last time 😩

Wow didn't mean to rant that much. I found a 30% off voucher so do have a Google. Also, you need NFC on your phone! Forgot to warm you about that. I had to borrow my friend's smashed up iPhone to use it 🤣

Good luck lovely and good luck for summer term! Roll on holibobs! xxx

OP posts:
PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 04/06/2021 15:49

Amazing advice @CycloGoose so thanks for the detailed post!! Hope you managed to get some work done... are you a teacher? If so snap! Not looking forward to Monday - I find work and BD are not particularly compatible but at least it’s the summer term and a bit more chilled after the madness of the (non) exams!

I’m going to get the ovusense - I noticed it’s 20% off and if that’s the price I pay not to have to wake up at work time on the weekend then so be it! You’re a real trouper managing to keep up the every other day routine. By the end of the month I always feel like a holiday for one is in order and don’t usually keep up the BD routine past the fertile window!

Hope you get your work done!

CycloGoose · 04/06/2021 11:57

Hey @PaleGreenAndBrightOrange thank you!

I am an OvuSense user! I'm trying to work so have left my phone out of reach... it doesn't seem to be helping.

I do think it is good in terms of it takes all the stress out of BBT tracking. I did not like tracking - having to wake up at the same time on weekends (5:55) the possibility of inaccuracy and generally the bleeping and stress of trying to read it without waking DH up. As an accurate thermometer, I think it is excellent. However, I often disagree with its chosen ov day and the app is really poor/clunky/featureless so I use it alongside other apps (femometer/fertility friend) but don't tell anyone that you do that as they don't like it. So think about what you want to get out of it and decide if you think it's worth it. It was accurate enough for me to feel confident enough to stop using OPKs entirely which reduced stress again but we were just having sex every other day (ish) rather than using opks to time it. We were lucky that the ov was on a Sunday and we actually just wanted to BD every day that weekend which is unheard of! Also, if you decide to get it, google ovusense vouchers/discount code and you should be able to get 20% off.

Also, I go with full flow only as CD1 - normally if I don't have FF by mid afternoon, I don't count it.

Oh! And I found the FB group toxic but there's a really lovely group on Peanut which I have found so much more supportive.

Hope that helps lovely. Lots of baby dust xxx

minthumbugs · 04/06/2021 11:34

@kaylsd that's shit news about work! But really good they're being accommodating with fertility appointments. Definitely no harm in seeking out new trusts, especially with all the hassle they have been giving you. X

Hi @Bookbug92 best of luck with the HyCoSy! Hope you get your BFP soon. X

Enjoy the vino @Kitty0389 ❤️

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange I think it's up for debate! I've heard different rules but tbh I'm unsure if there's a hard rule for it. Typically I haven't included spotting just the first day of full flow. And for thermometers and tracking I've always used natural cycles! I've found it really easy and like all the tracking options etc ☺️

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 04/06/2021 11:28

@CycloGoose congratulations on your news!! So amazing!

@Kitty0389 sorry to hear about your chemical - glad you’ve got a weekend of rest and wine ahead.

I have a really stupid question that I keep meaning to ask someone. Do you count a day of spotting or very light bleeding (eg just when you wipe) as day 1 of your cycle? Or just when it starts properly?

Also has anyone tried ovusense? Is it good? Or more generally does anyone have any tips for bbt? Recommended thermometers for example?

Thanks!

CycloGoose · 04/06/2021 10:56

Oh @Kaylsd it's a shame there's no vacancies going through there in the oncology but it sounds like you have had a really good conversation with your boss. Sometimes tolerable is all we can get to but better than intolerable that's for sure.

My work is driving me mad. I did 70 hours week before half term and then tried to rest this week but I should have started working earlier and now I am just going round in circles not getting the work done but getting more and more stressed. Feel I am going to get really told off on Monday as I have not done all the work I needed to get done.

PS. I know you asked for some of 'the water' but it was not I who sent the rain!! I promise!

Welcome @Bookbug92 and so much luck and baby dust coming your way. A lot of positive stories after HyCoSys so fingers crossed. Is it before or after your ov date for this month?

I am also happy to help @justwant2beamum if you want to share them xxx

@Kitty0389 you're a trooper. It's awful. Hope the pain goes away and you enjoy a right weekend on the sauce!

@justwant2beamum

Sorry to change topic a bit but has anyone had 3 day bloods? I've had mine but I don't know what results should be? Gp receptionist just said "all fine" but tbh I don't trust them, so I've got a copy of the results, I'm worried in case some are borderline or not as good as they should be. Can anyone help?
I'd be willing to help hunny best I can? I've had both day 3 & day 21 bloods done before :) x
