I'm feeling full of rage today, literally just had a meltdown because i had to return a parcel and it asked me to print a label 🤷‍♀️ Everyone around me is annoying me and i just want to scream or cry! I feel like my hormones are going crazy today!! Don't know if that makes sense as i'm down to 14 hcg but i feel so up and down at the moment. Thank you @spookycookies and all for listening to me moan though, i do appreciate it.

spookycookies · 18/06/2021 18:30

@Beleeve I never had a blood test but it took me 3 weeks to get a negative pregnancy test so I assume I still had 25+ for a while. I was 9+3 so might be different depending on how far along you are.

Beleeve · 18/06/2021 14:02

Hi all. I've just been told i need to have another test blood test next Friday which will be my 4th. My hcg levels dropped from 140 to 68 from Friday to Sunday and then today are 14. Is it normal the decrease in levels slows down? I would have 14 would be low enough so i am surprised i need to go back.

Daisyamelie · 18/06/2021 12:48

@LaurenNH thankyou for your message ❤️ it’s tough and as you must know it’s just army life! But in this kind of situation especially is really hard xx

LaurenNH · 18/06/2021 12:05

@Daisyamelie just a post to say that I feel for you being on your own. My husband just left the army last year and it can be so tough. Glad you are with your parents, sorry for your loss xxx

Daisyamelie · 18/06/2021 11:42

Thankyou all, yes been taking hpt since stopped bleeding, the first was positive and the second one was a very faint line so hcg still there to an extent, so doubt I will ovulate until it’s all gone! Will test again in a week and hopefully will be negative 🤞🏻 just looking forward to getting W cycle back and tracking ovulation properly again, I was very regular before the mc so hoping it will go back to that 😬 going to my parents today to visit our little boy today where we buried him 💙 hope you all have a good day xx

Blondiebrownie6 · 18/06/2021 08:50

@AlbiMix that’s amazing! 12wks is a huge milestone. Hopefully your worries ease soon but like you say after MC will they ever fully go!? I hope you can enjoy it all soon.
My test this morning was visibly lighter so it’s non viable pregnancy for me. I’ll call EPU Monday still just for a chat, unsure if it will just reabsorb or if I’ll have a period again!? Who knows! Feeling sad & disappointed , I was clinging on to a small bit hope but knew in the back of mind the outcome. We’re away on our staycation in a few weeks so that will be a nice distraction for a while!

@Daisyamelie that’s good things eased for you quickly. Have you done a pregnancy test to make sure it’s negative ? I know the HCG hormone after MC can sometimes take a while to fully leave the body, it’s only really when this is close to 0 or below 10 will your body then gear up for ovulation again. For some it happens quick but for me it took a little while. I say this in the kindest way but just be sure your hormones are back down so that when you take a pregnancy test in the future you can be sure it’s a possible new pregnancy and not left over hormones from the MC. Take care of yourself and glad to hear you have your pup keeping you company , a fluffy friend in the mist of all this is certainly a comfort x

AlbiMix · 18/06/2021 08:47

@Daisyamelie so sorry you're having to deal with this alone now that your OH has left, please do come here for support whenever you need it Flowers

Daisyamelie · 17/06/2021 21:14

Hope everyone is doing okay, and all your replies have really given me hope!
I am now 15 days post medically managed miscarriage, feeling physically well. Bleeding stopped 5 days after I got home from hospital so 10 days ago. We have dtd twice in that time and my OH is now away for 2 months (he’s in the army) so we had to squeeze it in before he went. Not really hoping for much as it’s a long shot to ovulate that quickly after mmc but you never know!
Did feel like I had ovulation twinges on CD12 and then some cramping on CD14 if I’m using mmc as CD1. But it’s down to nature now and if it happens then amazing if not, it will be good to atleast get AF so I can get my cycle adjusted for when OH is back in august.
Hope you’re all doing well, this thread is really helping me not just for hope but just for some familiarity and comfort. I haven’t left the house much since it’s all happened and I’ve only seen close family. My OH has been amazing and now he’s had to go I feel quite alone. Just me and little Dennis now (my King Charles cavalier) xx

Beleeve · 17/06/2021 15:48

Both pregnancy and ovulation tests are negative today so guess it was picking up leftover hcg levels before. Last blood test tomorrow so hopefully willl be down to 0 Smile

AlbiMix · 17/06/2021 14:43

@Maropa I conceived on the second cycle after the MC. First cycle we didn't try as I wanted to wait for a period first. I had read that there could be a slightly better chance of a healthy pregnancy if you conceive in the first three months after a MC, that's why I got back to TTC so quickly.

@Daisyamelie no problem hope you're doing ok!
@Blondiebrownie6 that's so confusing but I must say those lines are very very strong, even if d15 is mildly stronger...sounds like you have the right approach though, just getting on with it until you get more info. I had my 12w beginning of last week and it was fine but even with that I'm still not convinced 😂 maybe if I reach 16w I will start believing it?!

@Beleeve sorry I don't know much about the digital ovulation tests but @spookycookies is probably right if you've just MC'd...so difficult to tell what's what!

Beleeve · 16/06/2021 22:04

@spookycookies I haven't taken a pregnancy test since last week. I've only taken ovulation which have all been positive apart from yesterday. My hcg levels were 140 on Friday and dropped to 68 Sunday i imagine my test this Friday will be practically 0. I do think you're right. I've been told not to have unprotected sex til my next blood test so really don't know why i'm testing. Feeling impatient and wanting to focus on something i guess.

spookycookies · 16/06/2021 20:46

@Beleeve have you had a negative pregnancy test yet? I highly doubt you'd be ovulating less than a week after miscarriage. You're hormones need to go down and then you'd start you cycle so I'd expect at least two weeks if not more. My period didn't return for 7weeks.

Beleeve · 16/06/2021 17:37

I took a cheapie Ovulation test yeaterday which was negative but i've done a digi one today and it's positive, any chance it's genuine or is it just more sensitive to the hcg levels potentially still in my system. Miscarriage happened last Thurs.

Beleeve · 16/06/2021 16:41

Thank you @spookycookies I know i need to be honest really, if they decide they can't help me then so be it. I want to try again asap, i'm 35 so feel like time isn't really on my side. I do have this horrible feeling in my gut it's going to happen again but i know i can't do anything about it.

How did people find their cycle after a 5/6 week miscarriage? I feel physically back to normal and am going to start tracking ovulation staright away. Had a positive Sun which i know was hcg then a negative yesterday so i think any positive from now will be real. Fingers crossed

spookycookies · 16/06/2021 13:39

@Beleeve I think you need to be honest with the dr. I totally understand but his advice might be different. You might end up missing some crucial information or he try's to fix a problem that you don't have.

Beleeve · 16/06/2021 09:50

So reassuring reading through these stories and knowing i'm not alone. I miscarried last week, if you can be 'lucky' in terms of miscarriage i guess i was aa it was early on and painless. My body seems to have taken care of things naturally and my last blood test on Fri should confirm the hcg levels have gone.

They told me not to have unprotected sex this week as a pregnancy will confuse the results when looking for hcg to go down from this one.

This is a bit of a random question but i have an appointment with a fertility doctor next week. Made it about 9 months ago aa we were struggling to conceive our 3rd child. I still think the issue stands as i had a short luteal phase and i honestly think that was what affected my pregnancy. Has anyone else had a miscarriage due to a short lutal phase? How does this get fixed?

I know it's awful to say but i'm almost considering not telling the fertility doctor about the miscarriage as i worry they'll say ' oh you can get pregnant you don't need me, come back if you have 2 more moscarriages' I don't want to lie but i've waited so long for this appointment and i don't want to be dismissed straight away.

Blondiebrownie6 · 16/06/2021 09:37

@AlbiMix I know, I spoke to DR/EPU and they said it seemed to heavy for implantation from what I was saying so I have no idea? I think the test is lighter today. I’m gonna hold off testing tomorrow and do it again Friday. Day 15 seems darkest and today not as dark, pic attached. I kinda feel I’ve accepted it won’t be viable and I’m just going about things are normal. My temps are everywhere to. I’ve to do another digital test Monday and called EPU back from there , thats if I don’t start losing things before then. Bless you, I can only imagine the struggle , but glad to hear you are doing ok. When’s 12wks?

@Daisyamelie sorry for your loss, like the girls say you can start straight away or wait for a period, just whatever you feel is best for you both and when you both emotionally feel ready again. Look after yourself In the meantime

@Maropa I had medical back in March and by period after was normal for me although it took nearly 10 weeks to come back! No worse off and nothing to major tbh. I did have small bleed about 6wks after MC for a few days but I think it was retained products and colour wise it was brown and no fresh blood so to speak. My pregnancy test went negative shortly after this

@spookycookies sorry you’re still in limbo. Hope AF arrives soon for you. Defos track your cycle next time so you can be certain when you ovulate x

Daisyamelie · 15/06/2021 17:33

That’s amazing! Thankyou so much for this reply it has given me hope ❤️❤️

Maropa · 15/06/2021 17:28

@AlbiMix thanks for your response. Mine was definitely much lighter than usual. And now i am feeling hyper emotional like i usually feel right before a period so... who knows whats going on Bear

It's really great news that you were able to conceive so soon after. Can I ask how many months it took? I hope you have the most uneventful, smoothest and loveliest of pregnancies!!

AlbiMix · 15/06/2021 16:16

Omg @Blondiebrownie6 what's up with that?! Sounds very confusing but also...you do read that implantation can be confused for period so...it could be a BFP?! I'll hold my congrats for now but let us know what happens, I'm on the edge of my seat now.
I'm doing ok thanks, I have this niggling feeling that something will go wrong, it sounds really stupid but it's because I just can't imagine myself having a successful pregnancy. Like I just can't picture it.

@Maropa I was also told to expect a beast period after the MC but mine wasn't too bad either. It was much less painful than my usual periods but slightly heavier bleeding.

Sorry for your loss @Daisyamelie , I waited for a period before TTC again after the MC but it happened quite quickly. I know some people do try straight away but it's advised you wait two weeks from the MC to prevent infection. The problem if you TTC before the first period is its hard to tell whether a positive test is leftover HCG from the MC or a new pregnancy. But plenty of people have successful pregnancies right after the MC.

Maropa · 14/06/2021 20:34

I just had my first period four weeks after medical miscarriage. I was super happy it came quite 'on time'. My ob gyn had told me it would be heavier and maye more painful than usually. Instead, it was MUCH lighter and shorter. Has anyone had the same? Does anyone know if this is normal? I was so happy to be back to my usual cycle and now I'm worried it nay not be the case after all....

spookycookies · 14/06/2021 14:47

Period is late. Loads of pregnancy symptoms and loads of negatives tests. This every month is going to kill me. I'm hating myself for having hope when I know that I would have had a positive test by now. I just want my period to come and put me out of my misery so I can start trying again.

Lollipop25 · 14/06/2021 00:49

Hi @Daisyamelie I'm sorry for your loss, just want to spread some positivity 🤗 I mc at 12 weeks Xmas day 2009 and got pregnant on the 1st cycle after with dd, and I mc feb this year and am now 7 weeks pregnant so 🤞for you☺️

Daisyamelie · 13/06/2021 20:21

Hi everyone, never posted on here before but this page has been my lifeline for the last couple of months!
I sadly had a mmc on 03/06/21, went for the 12 week scan and discovered babies heartbeat had stopped and stopped growing at 10wk+6d. We were absolutely devastated as we found out very early so felt like we had been pregnant for so long!! I was booked in for the next day to stay in over night at hospital to get a medically managed miscarriage. Got given the meds 9.30am and got horrible pains around 11.30am. Eventually passed a little boy at 7pm the same night, all very quick and traumatic. I passed the placenta 10 minutes later and then that night had very heavy bleeding and pregnancy tissue passing, aswell as large clots.
Got sent home lunch time next day, and had 2 days of heavy bleeds, then lighter and lighter until just brown gunk then nothing as of last few days.
We are desperate to TTC again, without having to wait for my period.
What I’m hoping is from reading all your stories and getting pg again soon after mc, is had anyone had similar experiences to me? And how soon after did you conceive?
We have had sex twice since my MC on the 3rd of June and just praying something comes of it.
Will need to check my hcg levels over next few weeks as I was fairly late on towards end of 1st trimester so assuming it will take a while to come down.
I know it seems soon but we want to have a baby so much it just seems like my body is telling me to try again, and I am pain free and feel physically well!

Sorry for the long post but just desperate for some re assurance or similar stories with a happy ending?
Thanks I’m advance xxxx
