Hi ladies, i hope everyome is well, i have just come across this post. I had a miscarriage on 29th August 21, i had a small 2 day bleed on October 1st no clots or heaviness (the first one since tje miscarriage) i have recently just found out i am expecting again! I am on edge and my anxiety is bad! I took a cheap test first followed by the plus clear blue then a digital which showed 2-3 weeks over a week ago, i took the other digital one yesterday which changed to 3+ weeks. Is that a good sign? My nipples are so sore, i feel sick, my tastebuds are changing, my skin is spotty and as gross as it sounds i am leaking some wee and discharge! Does anyone else have these symtoms? I should be around 4-5 going by the date of my last bleed. Thank you for reading ❤🌈

@LaurenNH that’s normal for me. It’s always been off to the right. I suppose it’s different for different people . Cervix’s can be like ninjas though - all over the place - so don’t place too much weight on it xxx

LaurenNH · 28/07/2021 06:35

Hi all,

I have been staying away a bit as I'm finding it all a bit much.

Just one question - sorry if it's a bit TMI, but I've never done the feeling for my cervix thing, but then this month I thought I would check it around ovulation... it was high and soft, but wayyyy over to my right side. Anyone know if this is normal?

Daisyamelie · 24/07/2021 17:59

@TheDaydreamBelievers hey, sorry I only just logged back into mumsnet and read these posts back as I’ve had a really mad few weeks at work!

So turns out the negatives I thought I had were only negatives because it was on 25 sensitivity HCG tests. When I used FRER it still said positive alongside the 1-2 weeks on CBD. About a week after i then tested again on them and it finally said not pregnant/negative. Which tbh I was so relieved so it would be a fresh start!

Since then, my period started on July 13th. Very heavy and quite painful for the first few days. I usually have 26/27 day cycles so I downloaded the GLOW app and started testing my ovulation on the clear blue smiley faces and got my flashing smiley today 😁 I’m predicted to ovulate July 27th or round abouts but tbh my partner is away until august this is more just a trial run to see how my cycles have got back to normal or not.

So for anyone reading this who’s miscarried at a similar stage to mine (scan at 12 weeks revealed baby stopped growing at 11 weeks) - I had my medical management on June 3rd. Stopped bleeding around a week later. Then was still testing positive by the end of june. Finally tested fully negative July 4th and then got my period July 13th.

I am now ovulating around the same time I would do normally before the miscarriage.
I hope this is of some help to anyone as I know when I was going through the first few weeks I was going mad searching for someone who had miscarried at a similar time frame to me (for no other reason that I wanted to have some sort of reference for when I might get back to normal).

Will keep you all updated when my partner is back in a few weeks as we plan to get trying ASAP.
Good luck to you all 😘 xx

Hi all. So i had a miscarriage at 5-6 weeks last month. Fell pregnant again straight away and now having a chemical Sad

Hope you all don't mind me asking this but i know you need to have 3 to be referred and get it looked into. I'm sure i'veseen people mention they will sometimes analyse what you've passed (sorry!) to lookat why it happened. Would they do that on the 3rd mc or would you need to have already had 3?

I was referred to a fertility doctor last year because i couldn't fall pregnant. The appointment is next week but obviously in the meantime i've got pregnant twice and lost them. Has this happened to anyone else? Did they help you or say they couldn't because you'd actually managed to fall pregnant?

Sorry for all the questions Blush

BrokenDragon · 12/07/2021 23:46

Thanks LaurenNH, Im sorry for your loss too!

It's so easy to overthink everything in the tww isn't it :( x

LaurenNH · 12/07/2021 09:01

Hi @BrokenDragon to begin with (twin loss in Feb) I didn't do much, but in the last month I've been doing more than I was before all month long! It helps me feel healthy and definitely has a positive impact on my mood and mental health!

Sorry for your loss x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 12/07/2021 08:33

@Daisyamelie were your negatives after MMC on a FRER? If yes, then theres a good chance this is new hcg. If no, then I found I could still see FRER lines a longggg time after MMC surgery.

Sorry I dont think ive been on this version of the thread - hi those of you I knew before! Brief history - MMC at 12weeks (fetus grew to 11 weeks) in Dec2020. Since then, TTC again. I clearly have an ovulation disorder as I have cycles ranging 46-141 days. Currently CD2.

BrokenDragon · 11/07/2021 22:52

How much exercise do you all do in the tww? I know being a couch potato isn't a good idea but worried doing too much is bad. I am booked in for dance fit twice this week, does that sound ok?
I'm probably just over thinking things but just wanted a second opinion. Lost my first pregnancy at end of April and really want to get a BFP again
Thanks x

I'm 8dpo now and been having brown splotting since 5dpo (with some dark red bleed at 5dpo and today) I knew my luteal phase was short but 5 days!!! What was everyones first cycle after a miscarriage like? Could this be connected to that?

From what i've read i was really hoping the miscarriage would re-set everything and sort my luteal phase out and even that i would be more fertile so i am disappointed.

I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling heartbroken, there is nothing wrong with your body and don’t get too disheartened! It’s a long process and I think sex can sometimes irritate the cervix after a miscarriage so maybe that’s what the bleeding is. I bled a little after we had sex for the first time and it felt a bit tender, so was probably too soon to be honest. You will get there. Wishing you all the best xx

Khan2021 · 28/06/2021 09:43

@Daisyamelie
Congratulations!!! Really happy for you
I really am impressed about your detailed information.
I stopped bleeding after 10 days had sex ( though it was protected) on 12th day .
And on 14th day I am bleeding again.
My doc prescribed me contraceptive pills for the next 21 days , and told me not to even think about sex for couple of days. feeling heartbroken , what is wrong with my body!!!

Daisyamelie · 27/06/2021 19:48

Ic is internet cheapie!
I never had bloods done to test my levels so had to just go by home pregnancy tests, I only ever used the cheap strip ones that measure 10mlhcg as I thought the more sensitive the better surely? To make sure I was as close to 0 as poss.
But now I’ve tested with FRER, clear blue (said 1-2 weeks) and Sainsbury’s own and they’ve all come out positive.
Will phone doctors and EPU tomorrow morning and ask what is best. Think getting bloods done 48 hours apart will be best step and go from there. It just seems very soon!
I’ll post below my exact timeline as I’ve kept it written down.

June 2nd - found no HB at 12 week scan, baby measuring 10+6
June 3rd - Miscarriage at hospital (medically managed, Passed fetus and placenta same day
June 10th - stopped bleeding
June 13th - had sex in morning

June 14th - sharp pain in side day time
June 14th - had sex in evening
June 16th slight cramping and watery discharge
(Possibly ovulated between 16th-19th going by symptoms but didn’t LH test)
June 19th - Negative pregnancy test
June 20th - Got slippery clear discharge in evening
June 24th - Sharp pain in side creamy cm with brown in it

June 25th Leg cramping and lower back pain creamy cm with brown in it

June 27th - Positive pregnancy test on FRER and Sainsbury’s own. Positive 1-2 weeks on CB

Beleeve · 27/06/2021 17:04

@LaurenNH Think it's totally normal to feel like that. You will have good and bad days and i think you need to just let those bad days happen, have a cry if you need to, just don't bottle it all up. It will happen for you even though sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage @Khan2021 that must have been awful. I feel the same as you that i just want to try again straight away.

@Daisyamelie That does sound promising. Sorry don't know what IC means (i'm rubnish with the terminology) but i can't see how you could get a positive after negatives unless it was a true positive. Have you had bloods done to confirm the hcg levels had dropped?

Daisyamelie · 27/06/2021 12:33

So I’m in a bit of a confusion right now.... I had my Mmc medically managed on June 3rd, as stated in earlier posts everything came away with the placenta etc that day, bled for a week, then had negative pg tests by the week after (so 2 weeks post mmc). I have had bad backache and leg cramps and slight twinges in my left lower side the last few days and me and my partner have been having sex since I stopped bleeding. Just took a FRER and it is a BFP. I have had several negatives since the mmc and Even up until 2 days ago they were.
I’m so confused, could I be pregnant again this quickly?
I can’t get hold of EPU until tomorrow.

Also I done an IC and it was negative, but the FRER is positive.
Anyone else had anything like this?
Don’t want to get my hopes up...

Khan2021 · 27/06/2021 09:26

Hi...can I join ?
I had a miscarriage at 11 +3 week on 15th june, it was an inevitable abortion, my sack was out with the baby floating inside ( sorry tmi) ...had to do d&c to remove the placenta...and i want to ttc right after i have my next af....
We have been trying for almost 6 years and I am 31. And it was my first pregnancy. I am reading all the positive comments and I am encouraging myself for ttc.
Good luck to everyone.🙂

LaurenNH · 26/06/2021 12:01

Hi ladies!

Does anyone ever have days where they are just DESPERATE to be pregnant again? It comes out of nowhere, really feeling that ache today.

Hope you're all having lovely weekends xxx

AlbiMix · 23/06/2021 09:51

@Beleeve so sorry you're struggling, it's shit and it could be hormones, it could also just be emotional distress from the ordeal you've been through - either way I would say these feelings are completely justified. I was very irritable after the MC, I think partly coz I was sad most of the time so when something (however small) annoyed me it just sent me over the edge onto full blown anger 😂 I promise you will feel better in time though.

Congrats @Daisyamelie on the negative test, I also felt a huge sense of relief when I had mine. It's a fresh start :)

Sorry @LaurenNH I'm pretty useless on opks but sounds like you're on track now!

MSK1 · 22/06/2021 22:39

@LaurenNH You never know, this might be your month so you might not need to use the OPKs next month! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. X

LaurenNH · 22/06/2021 22:15

*spotting 🤦🏼‍♀️

LaurenNH · 22/06/2021 22:14

Thanks @MSK1 for your reply. I did finally get a flashing smiley when I tested again Sun afternoon so ovulation was yesterday 🤞🏻 I also had some spitting the week last week which is very unusual for me but I think can happen in the lead up to ovulation?

Glad you got back to normal, fingers crossed for you this month. I feel you about trying to relax, I decided I wouldn't track last month to try and stop myself obsessing but it didn't help!

Just waiting around for two weeks now until it starts all over again 🙃 x

MSK1 · 22/06/2021 20:16

Hi all,

Hope you’re all ok and having a good week. @LaurenNH, I’m by no means an expert on OPKs but I found that I was the same. Had one ‘normal’ cycle after my mc and then the next one was way off. 12 days of flashing smileys and then I gave up testing for that cycle. I think it was the stress of it all as I’m pretty sure that I ovulated the following day. Decided to have a month off trying last month but still tracked with OPKs, it was back to normal again. We’re actively trying again this month and I’m trying to relax about the whole thing. Will be starting with the OPKs on Saturday and hoping I won’t get a high number of flashing smileys again! Did you get your static smiley in the end? X

LaurenNH · 20/06/2021 06:55

Hi everyone, are there any OPK gurus that can help - I was expecting to ovulate Friday but I'm still getting flashy smiley today 😡 and I was wondering if this is because I missed a stick at the beginning of the week? I thought my cycle had gotten back to post-miscarriage normal but apparently not 😔

Daisyamelie · 19/06/2021 13:12

Hope you’re all well ❤️ Just thought I’d let you know I got my first BFN today 16 days after mmc. So anything from now if it is a positive I know will hopefully be a new pregnancy 😁 never thought I’d be so happy to see a negative!
