Hi Sallie. Once you get the persona o you have a couple of days. You know when it is time to stop because your CM changes (goes thicker, creamier).

Hula - I agree with everything Bibi says. The second half of your cycle looks very normal to me - it rises above the reference line and stays above it throughout (time to worry is if you keep dipping back below the line). i have never heard that it is supposed to keep rising - it is just supposed to rise above the line and stay there, which is what yours does.

Sallie · 02/11/2004 16:33

As I work, b-d lots of times is impossible when I 'o' on a weekday. Its also quite tricky at weekends because of ds and dd but we did manage last night and this morning and hopefully again tonight and tomorrow morning. Hope that will be enough but do I need to carry on for a bit longer. Have to say am looking forward to having a bit of a break

RudyDudy · 02/11/2004 16:28

we used persona for DS and bd'd (lots of times!) on the 2 days that we had the O.

lol 'stoically bd'

MINNIE1 · 02/11/2004 16:27

BeckiF, I'd lick the bottom of the pot to get PG lol!!!! What are we like... (Licking things to get PG)

Sallie · 02/11/2004 16:20

I am on cd20, and my second 'o' day according to persona so won't be testing for another 2 weeks at least. Still - thats not that far away in the greater scheme of things...Not that hopeful given the stress I am under right now but you never know! Have stoically b-d once a day from day 14 up to day 20 and will continue for a few more days just to be sure. Once the 'o' signal comes up on persona, am I right in guessing you have a few days to keep b-d? Any persona users out there who could give me some tips on timing?!!!

RudyDudy · 02/11/2004 16:13

Hello all

Just wanted to say hi on the new lucky thread. Not normally a superstitious person but as it was started the day pamina had a BFP...

I'm CD25 and still at least a week off testing - annoying long cycle

When are people due to test? Would love to hear of another +ve...

BeckiF · 02/11/2004 15:55

I already have the thing you lick to check for ferns but have no faith in it. Well you wouldn't after 12 monts of licking it, would you?! LOL

MINNIE1 · 02/11/2004 15:49

can you imagine a deflated boob!!!
how are you after that?? I have a moving mouse in my boob (doctor's terms)... Found it at a young age, they said it was nothing to worry about.. But its still there!!!

ebbie22 · 02/11/2004 15:35

The cyst that is,dont think my boobs could get any smaller...

ebbie22 · 02/11/2004 15:34

...Yeah I had a lump, since march, and had to keep having it checked...When I went to the docs it had grown and he wanted it to be checked...
So i went to the hosp today, where they felt it then had an ultra sound and they said it was just a cyst so they deflated it today...

MINNIE1 · 02/11/2004 15:20

BECKIF, i ordered a lady q ferns thing... Hope it gets me PG !!!!! We try for so long not to get PG and when we want to get PG we cant!!! Let me know how you get on with the OPK's...

ebbie22,
Are you having problem's with your boob? that sound's so silly.. Why were you having a boob scan?

ebbie22 · 02/11/2004 15:08

CONGRATULATIONS PAMINA3
Well have a little time to myself as kiddies are asleep{at last}...Sorry to hear that bloody a.f keeps popping in to everyone else this month too...
I have just come back from a hosp appointment where had to have an ultra sound on my boob, and my brain was saying to me..Just place it on my belly just incase...
Mad ain't I...Why does whoever is looking down on us have to be so,so cruel? If I hadnt of been late this month I dont think I would of been as upset as I have been, about not being pregnant this month...Have decieded to try and not get too stressed out by not concieving as its pulling me apart each month, doesnt help that I have bad p.m.t..as it is...How is everyone today?

Chuffed · 02/11/2004 14:50

Well have got to 7mths now no ovulation - it is a bit hard to ttc with this happening. dd is 7mths old. not charting yet but will start as soon as period comes (hopefully it won't and I'll fluke it again like last time).
Lots of good wishes to everybody else.

Bibi20 · 02/11/2004 14:32

Hula

Please don't worry or feel confused (and sorry if I've caused it?)!

As long as you bd around that time (which you obiously are!) and keep bd'ing until your o date is confirmed (think on FF it takes 3 days of raised temps) then you're still covered. From your chart it looks like you got the right dates this month anyway.

But if this isn't your month (or for anyone else who's interested) I've read that you should keep bd'ing until you don't have fertile looking CM (eggwhite or watery). Apparently when the progesterone kicks in post O, CM dries up so another sign that you've O'd.

I see from your chart that this is only your second month of charting. Whilst I'd be tempted to trust your EWCM and not worry too much about the temps, they do recommend doing 3 months worth of charts to confirm the length of the LP...

Whilst your temp rises do seem pretty conclusive, the circles aren't filled in this month - did you take temp at the same time, did you sleep properly, had you had any alcohol the night before - all of these can affect temps (alcohol in particular makes my temp rise!)?

Also you could ask people in the circles on FF - sure to be some experts there who can give you more advice!

One thing I will say is that a good friend who was temping fell pg the month that her temps made no sense at all!

BeckiF · 02/11/2004 14:08

Thanks all!

Sallie - I have ordered a 60pk from Medisave! Thought about Persona but no good to me as I have just had a 40 day cycle and the one before was 365+ days! PCOS eh, it's get ya' down! I may as well pee in a pot and drip the drops in the little tester for as many days as it takes! £40 for two months testing isn't bad! Might get to me if I go to another year long cycle though!

Hulababy · 02/11/2004 13:58

Chart home page now has the first two months showing.

Sallie · 02/11/2004 13:55

beckif - lots of baby dust to you. If you are planning to spend lots of money on opks, why don't you just invest in a persona? Much more user-friendly!

Hulababy · 02/11/2004 13:55

Hester - this is my chart from FF. My temp doesn't go up that much at all really, and it doesn't continue rising.

So, could FF be giving me the wrong OV date? I am sure I had EWCM on CD16 last month, which I thought was supposed to occur before or during OV. But FF found my OV date as CD15. AF arrived on CD28, so lutuael phase is 13 days.

Last month I had just come off pill and had no EWCM. FF found my OV at CD18. Lutueal phase this time was 10 days. AF arrived on CD29.

Now I am confused!!!

MommyD · 02/11/2004 13:53

Good Luck BeckiF!!

MommyD · 02/11/2004 13:52

Thanks pamina - well we only bd on cd 9, 11, 12 and 13. O-day was cd14. dh went abroad on cd14. Today cd15.

BeckiF · 02/11/2004 13:49

Is it REALLY TTC # 13 already

On a HAPPIER note, dp and I plan to try and influence the premonition dream I had about getting a +pg test and the baby being due in September, so wish me well! I'm even gonna spend a fortune of opk! Any recommendations?!

Congratulations pamina3!! Sounds like a mini 'mina could be on the way!
I am on cd15, o-day yesterday, cycle 2 of ttc#3. Can't believe conception MIGHT have occurred. Didn't bd yesterday. No dh . Not very good at waiting altough I am VERY busy at work so not thinking about it at all.
I had a dream last night that I was pg. Probably wishful dreaming more than anything else

Thanks so much for starting the thread, Tania - hoe it is a lucky one for you

Pamina - hang out with us awhile!

Hula - do I understand you right - after ov your temperature rises significantly and stays at that level? rather than continuing to rise? If so, that sounds normal to me. Or are you worried that the rise isn't high enough?
