Am REALLY going to do some work now. Don't anyone let me talk for at least five hours

hester · 05/11/2004 09:36

Sallie - hope your dd will be fighting fit soon.

Becki - lol at your description of the frozen popsicle shop... really praying that you get your september baby.

Tania - make sure you get in plenty of sugar and saturated fat, now!

Pamina - thanks for being so lovely. I'm thrilled you've got your stonking great lines now. You and everyone else on here have been so kind to me, and I'm going to keep reminding myself that although it feels that every failed cycle pushes the baby dream further away, it really could happen any time.

After today I probably won't be able to get onto a PC for several days, so you'll all be spared my whimpering through the last days of this cycle. By the time I get back, I'll be about CD3 and feeling perky and hopeful again

BeckiF · 05/11/2004 09:27

Morning all. Inputted my first temp on FF this morning as my pack of OPK turned up yesterday with the new thermometer. Am hoping I stick to the 40 day cycle that I had last month and don't revert to the 365 day one! Am dreaming that my Sept baby premonition comes true (as is dp!), so we are watching the next month like a pair of fanatics! LOL! Well, whatever it takes! We know that if we don't do it the natural way this side of Christmas, it's off down the frozen popsicle shop for us!! (Sorry, I mean the IVF unit!)

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 09:25

pamina thanks for the positive vibes think we are all needing them today.
hester me time is cup of tea and noone pulling me away from catching up with you gals. mmm maybe some junk food
Sallie so sorry ds was so ill there is nothing more heart breaking seeing your child so sick went through that when ds was 9 months old with croup how awlful for you hope she is feeling better.
sneaks away to see if any junk in the pantry

Hi - dd has been in hospital for a few days with an awful d&v bug so need to catch up on all the postings (might take me the best part of a day!!). Am on cd23 - had 'o' on my persona on cd 19 and 20 and bd every day apart from cd 21 when I stayed in hospital overnight. Maybe dd is telling me she doesn't want a sibling!!!

hester · 05/11/2004 09:13

You wouldn't dare - certainly not on this thread

What does me time involve - glass of wine? slab of chocolate? cake? (spot the woman sat at her desk and dreaming of freedom...)

It is raining and cold here in oz. not usually like this at this time of year. hoping for a warm day for ds 2nd birthday on the 26th but not like last year it was stinking hot 40 deg.
Just put ds to bed for the night so no for some ME time. he has just been full on this week i think his 2 yr old molars are coming through just makes me thankful that i havent got another baby at this stage i just dont think he could cope with having to share his mummy at the moment. Then again if i fall pg soon dont know how i will cope with being sick and tired and having to run after him he is just so full on. But i wouldnt complain now would i.

congrats cosybear 7 cyndii, I'm sure we'll all join you sooner or later. cosybear, make sure you get checked for toxoplasmosis & if neg get dh to do cats.

irishlass, you still there? No experience with combined pill, but I had mirena removed (and they do love to say that you can get pg straight away) but I had 3 months of cycles all over the place, then used persona & 2nd cycle got pg, so 5 cycles in all, 3 of which hormones all over the place. hth

good luck to everyone testing this w/e

Hulababy · 05/11/2004 08:52

MunnzieB - sorry about AF

CD4 here so not much to report. AF is nothing like last months, thankfully. Looks like it is coming to end too

hester · 05/11/2004 08:51

I'm ok-ish. Better than yesterday and looking forward to the weekend .

Just heard my brother and his kids may be over from Australia for Christmas .

How are YOU today? Is the sun shining?

Hulababy · 05/11/2004 08:49

Congratulations Cosybear

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 08:23

Sorry congrats cosybear how rude of me
Iam here hester how are you today?

hester · 05/11/2004 08:10

Cosybear! Of COURSE we don't hate you - I LOVE you for proving that us, um (cough), more mature ladies can be buzzing with fertility! Of course you're a mere infant compared to jeddah and I, the grande dames of the ttc thread (and let's have a little more respect from the rest of you for your elders and betters, please ), but seriously, it's fantastic news and huge congratulations on being the third graduate from this thread. You must be thrilled!

I think this might mean that this thread is turning into another lucky one! Anyone dare make a prediction?

Btw, Cosybear, I think fear and ambivalence are completely normal and a healthy sign that you have a mature appreciation of the life-changing experience that is ahead. All the fears and disadvantages can be so real and obvious, and the rewards so abstract at this stage, but when you hold your baby in your arms...

Jeddah, it's SO great for me to have you on here . I've had some fertility tests - normal blood tests, scan and HSG - all looked fine. The only thing that really worries me is my lack of fertile CM (not helped by last month trying one of those microscope thingies and finding no ferning whatsoever..). Oh, and my groaning old eggs. It's impossible to know whether there's a problem or not. At our age, it really can take a year or two. Or it can be too late. And the standard tests can't tell you which.

Tania - you around?

MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 07:58

any one else test this week? (fingers crossed for those who are)

MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 07:54

Morning Girls,

well AF showed up today. so it looks like I have a definate 26 day cycle, (quite good as i can't recall being that regular before the pill) at least now I can start a fresh one and track it properly!

MommyD · 05/11/2004 07:48

Morning All! Congratulations to Cyndi and Cosybear Cosybear - well done on first time! I did that with my ds2 and was SOOOOOOOOO shocked. On cycle 2 this month of trying for number 3.
I am cd18. Feel great. No pg symptoms. Don't feel pg, although it might be a bit early to feel anything. I am assuming already that this cycle is not the one.
