Have you checked yours pamina what is yours doing??
i would only be 5 or 6 DPO. does the cervix stay high for a number of days after o just in case egg meets sperm or does it drop then rise once you have conceived. OR am i being completly nieve about this and know nothing about egg meeting sperm in how much time. Do i make sence?? Shit i hope my cervix is high then cause its the first time i have tried it i dont know. TMI warning. i still had to put my finger right in IYKWIM it wasnt just a little???

The Toni Weshchler book - Taking Charge of Your Fertility... she doesn't talk about it how it feels once you've conceived, but does say that if you've had a baby before it changes the shape... I've got to go and have my blood tests done now so can't find more info., but try googling cervical position and see what you get.

I wouldn't take your first time of checking as being conclusive for conception or not, but if it feels hard (like the end of your nose the books says!) rather than squashy you should be confident that you have already ovulated this cycle...

HTH

I'd not heard that Pamina - now I'm going to have to check mine again...!

I just know that around O it's high and soft, before or after it's hard and low(er). But like Pamina says - just cos you can feel it now doesn't mean that it's not high for you!

Saying that, if as you're saying, it feels boney (or cartilidgey) then it's not how it is at O - so either way you're not ovulating at the moment!

bibi - tania Sorry to be thick, but what are you checking cervix for? That you o'd? If so what are you looking for? Does cervix do something different if you conceive? No idea about cervix or CM!!

Bibi20 · 05/11/2004 11:07

In my experience - if I can feel something up there, then I'm NOT ov'ing, cos when I am, it's too high up for me to reach! But everyone is different so...

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 11:04

I was going to try that one but really not sure if i know what i am looking (sorry feeling) for? I might give it a go now
Back soon...........

Based on your ferns and EWCM I'd say you probably did ov before now, I wouldn't worry about the cramps - I get them during some cycles for the whole of the 2 week wait - just think I'm more aware of them now, as I'm conscious of every little twinge as they all give me hope!

Of course, you could always check your cervix...? (see my post to MunnzieB - feel like I'm a cervix checking 'pusher' or something!)

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 10:51

25 to 26

OP posts:
Bibi20 · 05/11/2004 10:49

How long are your cycles?

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 10:39

I have been using my saliva ov test and had ferns from cd7 to around CD12 and havent had any since i must admit i am still not 100% confident with the ferns but it is too much of a fluke that i got the EWCM on CD8. Havent bd for the last 2 nights both of us are really tired and TBH over sex on demand IYKWIM. Wouldnt it be too late in my cycle to ov now on CD15?

Sallie · 05/11/2004 10:30

I also get cramps around ov time so could be that.

Bibi20 · 05/11/2004 10:30

Tania - could be implantation cramps?! Here's hoping!

Hulababy · 05/11/2004 10:26

Are you sure you definitely OVd then? I noticed that I get cramps around OV time (as predicted by FF anyway).

Sallie · 05/11/2004 10:26

I had bad tummy cramps on Tuesday night and it turned out that I had a mild version of the d&v bug that my dd has been sooo poorly with. Could it be something like that?
