Thanks sooooo much for all your kind wishes re dd. Will update you on Monday morning.
I won't be testing for another 10 days or so - am in that horrid in-between time - between ov and af. Just our luck that the week I ov, all this happens!! So not holding out too much hope though still managed to bd up to ov every day and on the two days when persona said 'o'. Only day we missed was day after the o signs but managed the day after that so who knows..... Best of luck to all those testing soon

jeddah · 05/11/2004 15:54

sallie.....hope dd is feeling better.

WHO IS TESTING THIS WEEKEND???????

Twiga · 05/11/2004 15:18

Hi! Tania, hope you're feeling brighter x
Hester {{{hug}}}
Sallie, good to hear that your dd is out of the hopital, best wishes for a swift recovery. It must be tough being at work right now, I know things are pants fo ryou anyway on that front {{{hug}}}
MunzieB, sorry about af +++++*+ for your coming cycle x

Sallie · 05/11/2004 14:03

My ds was conceived whilst I was on the pill. Rather romantically he was conceived on the evening of our engagement/house warming party when I quaffed far too much fizzy and puked the next day!!! DD was conceived whilst I was using Persona (first month of using it but 5th cycle of ttc). Never heard that it produces boys! I have to say Cyndii's advice re bd-ing before, during and after you think your fertile time is, is the best advice. persona just helps you to pinpoint the relevant time.

RudyDudy · 05/11/2004 13:57

Thanks Sallie - I used persona for DS and then lent it to a friend who also got pg. Now have it back but forgot to reset it this month so it thought I was her!

My only thing with it is that I've heard that it gives you boys (iykwim). I'd be more than happy to have another boy but I just don't like to think that I'm planning for one. What was your experience? (Please tell me you used it for your DD )

Sallie · 05/11/2004 13:54

Rudydudy
Thanks for your kind thoughts. Best of luck with Persona - I think its fab as is really easy to use. I should work for them really as am always recommending it to people. Found it much much easier to use than opks and cheaper in the long run.

Cyndii · 05/11/2004 13:49

pamina 3 ~ congrats to you too I suppose we will meet up on the July Thread!!

Keep trying everyone and believe me I know how disheartening it all can be!

My advice bd before during and after what you "think" is your fertile time!

Keep trying....

RudyDudy · 05/11/2004 13:49

Am trying to learn about CM and EWCM - would someone mind giving me an idiot's guide to what I should look for and when it means I should BD? Thanks

RudyDudy · 05/11/2004 13:48

Hello all - just popped in to say hello and see if there are any updates (Congratulations Cosybear ) and seem to have entered a cervix checking frenzy!! Not really an option for me as apparently mine is 'hidden'...

Nothing to report from my end. From having all sorts of 'symptoms' and god knows what going on in my body over the last week today I feel totally great but not in the least bit pregnant. Oh well, at least if AF comes I'll be able to start persona and get some info on when I'm ov'ing.

Sorry to hear about your DD Sallie - I hope she starts to feel better soon. It really is the most worrying thing when they're ill, isn't it? Hope you get better sleep tonight.

bonkerz · 05/11/2004 13:08

dh was lovely last night about my af arriving! he even said he was gonna really make a huge effort this month and try to crack it! so heres to loads of bding! would it be awful if i was to tell him im ovulating for more days? (will use medisave ov tests!)

hester · 05/11/2004 12:59

Tania, I think bibi's point is important about not trying to diagnose too much from feeling your cervix only once. You really can only tell what is going on by monitoring it over time, so you have something to compare it to.

Remember that all cervixes are different - some women can reach theirs easily, others are really high (TMI alert - I've never found mine), so trying to judge 'high' or 'low' as a one-off is imipossible.

Having said all that, if i were you I'd get in a quick bit of BDing if you can - just in case. Good luck

Sallie · 05/11/2004 12:57

Bibi thanks for your kind wishes. I really really hope dd stops vomitting soon as she has been unwell now for sooooo long. Anyway, hope you get some results soon from your bloodtests - the waiting is always the worst bit, isn't it? I am now into that wait between ov and af although not holding out any hopes this month as ov on Monday and Tues when dd started to be very unwell!
Munnzie - sorry about your af - put your feet up if you can and pamper yourself. Otherwise have a jolly good work out in the gym - always helps me when I have time - gets rid of all that pent-up frustration and aggression !!!

Bibi20 · 05/11/2004 12:44

Back from hospital (like you all want to know my every movement zzzz) - blood tests nice and quick this time - walking there and back took longer than the waiting time!

Tania - good luck - if you are still ov'ing then hopefully your cycle will be longer cos your LP should be the same length (unless you're Jeddah who is just special!)

Sallie - sounds like you're having a rough time of it - hope your dd is better soon (((hugs)))

MunnzieB - so sorry, missed your post about af

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 12:30

That would be handy having dh as a dr. Hope she is well soon you take care of yourself too she needs her mummy to be well also. Off now to wake dh just incase iam oving. not really in the mood but scared that i may miss my chance iykwim

Sallie · 05/11/2004 12:26

at least dh is a doctor so she is probably better off with him than anyone today. He is going to keep a close eye on her and then see how she is later before making a decision. Its now been going on for a week which is a real worry

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 12:21

oh thats terrible sallie. well at least she has her daddy with her. how will your boss react if you have to go back to the hospital. surely that have to be flexable without discrimination.

Bibi i have been reading up i found Toni's discription on babycenter.com i have now checked my cervix 4 times have got myself really confused now i think it is high soft wet and open will go and wake dh up for a quicky just in case but even still if i am oving i only have 10days till af due so i think i wont have a chance because of the LP length. this sux.

I am shattered. You just can't sleep on a children's ward! She is home from hospital now but dh has just rung to say shes been sick again which is a worry. She may have to go back in if there is no improvement. Am feeling really guilty for being at work but my employers are less than child-friendly! Thanks for asking.

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 12:14

Hi Sallie, is dd better now? How are you feeling?

hi everyone quick hello from work.
cd15 for me, have had really sore boobs which usually occurrs around ov so bding everynight!!! but haven't seen any EWCM......really do not know what is going on at all!!

so sorry munnzieb

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 11:48

Found this on FF
What is the cervix position like during early pregnancy? Can I tell if I am pregnant by observing changes in my cervix?

Observing your cervical position after ovulation will not provide any clues about whether or not you could be pregnant. Whether or not you are pregnant, the cervix usually returns to a non-fertile position in the two weeks following ovulation.

So maybe iam still in for a chance.
