I’m either 2 or 3 dpo ( 3 days after my peak opks). Anyone else? I’m very emotional today, don’t know if it’s just one of those days or if It’s something else

Does any one track BBT for ovulation?

Spotting here and some cramps, think mines on the way a bit early also 🙁

Wanderdream · 01/05/2021 17:49

Aww gutted for you @HannahAD, I’ve started with cramps this afternoon so pretty sure my period will arrive overnight

MoominC · 01/05/2021 15:01

@HannahAD Sorry about the bfn, just try and stay positive and think your not out till af comes ❤

ChickenNuggetRose · 01/05/2021 08:42

@HannahAD Sorry to hear about bfn 😞 Still early though so you're not out yet! 🤞🏼 Keeping everything crossed for you

CurlewCalls · 01/05/2021 08:33

@HannahAD so sorry to hear about Bfn this morning - even tho it's early and there's still plenty of possibility it's still such a heart sinking moment :( hope there's something caring you can maybe do for yourself today xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 01/05/2021 08:31

@HannahAD sorry. Its still early though, so maybe in a day or two it'll be different

@ChickenNuggetRose you and I are aligned, I've nothing in also so I can't be tempted!

HannahAD · 01/05/2021 08:10

Tested this morning with frer and it’s bfn :(

@ChickenNuggetRose I've done the same thing this time 🤣 got one good one for if AF doesn't show on time. I feel less guilty using the cheapies lol hoping you get your BFP too and it doesn't take long for you ❤

@CurlewCalls Welcome 😊 symptom spotting is a nightmare isn't it lol we all know we shouldn't do it and yet we do. It is definitely nice to have company during the TWW

CurlewCalls · 30/04/2021 15:44

Hi everyone! Wonder if I can jump in -I'm on 9 DPO on 3rd cycle of TTC. I've never posted on a forum before but feel like some company on TTW would be supportive :) I thought I had some v minimal reddish CM on Wednesday 7 DPO and sore boobs yesterday but that's gone now and I'm pretttttty sure I'm making it all up in my head (as I have the last few cycles!) Wishing you all lots of support and babydust!

ChickenNuggetRose · 30/04/2021 15:17

@MoominC I've purposely only got a couple of real cheapies in the house so I'm not tempted to test too early 🤣
@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7
Sorry to hear about both of your MC's😞 I really hope this is a lucky thread and both of you get the BFP's you deserve this month 🤞🏼
I'm expecting it not to happen straight away for me either, but you still can't help but get a little excited with every symptom!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/04/2021 15:02

@ChickenNuggetRose I started trying in Aug 2020, fell pregnant straight away, miscarried in October, and I've had nothing since. My periods have been regular-ish since December

MoominC · 30/04/2021 15:02

@ChickenNuggetRose I'm usually an early tester but trying to be good this month lol I've been trying a few months this time. Was trying around 8/9 months about 2 years ago which ended in MC then with covid and other family issues we waited till this year to start again 😊

ChickenNuggetRose · 30/04/2021 14:58

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @MoominC

Ah thank you so much for all of the info! It's my first month TTC and I had no idea what means what regarding BBT, but it makes sense with your description! I'll order a BBT thermometer on Prime for the start of my next cycle. I already have the Flo app so I'll use that 😬 I'm terrible though, I'll probably forget and start moving when I wake up 🤦🏻‍♀️ Currently using OPKs and they seem to be pretty much spot on to what my app says.

How do you all have so much will power not to test so early 🤣 Have you both been TTC for very long?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/04/2021 13:02

@MoominC thanks! So no symptoms is sounding positive!

@ChickenNuggetRose to add to that, I forgot to say always take the temperate at a similar time (no more than 1 hour out) each day. Take it first thing, without moving around, talking, or doing anything. If you do want to temp, would recommend the fertility friend online tutorials. You're looking for a bi-phase pattern - so lower temps before ovulation. The day after ovulation temperatures should increase quite a bit. For the luteal phase the temperatures should stay quite high. If the temperature drops down to pre-ovulation temperatures, it generally means your period is on its way. So last month mine dropped down the day before period, and then period arrived the next morning

MoominC · 30/04/2021 12:57

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 sorry to hear about your MC. I was the same with mine no symptoms at all.

@ChickenNuggetRose Just get bbt thermometer. Can get them quite cheap on amazon. I use the premom app and take my temp when I first wake up (if I remember lol)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/04/2021 12:54

Here’s my chart to illustrate. It confirms ovulation when temps jump up for three consecutive days. Just before period, temps drop back down, so you get a little heads up period is coming.

2/3dpo anyone?
A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/04/2021 12:46

@ChickenNuggetRose I am not a pro, but I just ordered a BBT thermometer - make sure it has 2 decimal numbers. Cost about £5. I use the Flo app to record. Leave my phone and thermometer by the bed, and take it every morning at 6.30am

ChickenNuggetRose · 30/04/2021 12:21

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @MoominC

Thank you both! I definitely agree that you notice the little symptoms more when TTC! I did have cramps a week before AF with the first but I can't remember if it was constant though! Those who temp, what's the best way to temp?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/04/2021 11:58

@Hoping4second 🤣🤣🤣 tbf I think my partner wouldn't mind throwing mine behind the bed either - it does make an obnoxious beeping noise every morning that wakes him up

@MoominC yes I do the same - notice every little thing, and its not healthy for me because so far its been wind, or normal pmt, etc etc etc. When I was pregnant (miscarried) I tested a couple days late and I didn't have any symptoms at all until about week 6, except some travel sickness around the time my period was due

MoominC · 30/04/2021 11:52

@ChickenNuggetRose Welcome 😊 could be implantation. I found I notice more since TTC that I didn't realise before. Fingers crossed its all a good sign though.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Have a nice weekend away. Hopefully it will distract you from everything

Hoping4second · 30/04/2021 11:51

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 oh yes I was temping when I conceived my first, it does work! But after 6+ months of charting it every morning the thermometer fell at the back of the bed and I left it there for now. A break / change can sometimes help with infertility I think. But yes absolutely recommend it, I helps me understand what's going on in my body!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 30/04/2021 11:46

@Hoping4second welcome! I'm only on my second month of temping, but yes it gives me something else to pore over and overanalyse . Was thinking maybe I should just do it for ovulation going forwards and then stop thinking about it. We'll see. It did drop just before my period last month so that was a nice heads-up.

@ChickenNuggetRose welcome also! Sorry about the cramps, doesn't sounds very fun.

I think I'll prob test Sunday or Monday - I'm away this weekend so don't want to depress myself!

ChickenNuggetRose · 30/04/2021 11:41

Hope it's okay to join! I'm now 8dpo and I've had constant cramps for the past 3 days 😩 I'm not due AF until 7th/8th so surely it can't be that?!

Sending baby dust to everyone 🤞🏼

MoominC · 30/04/2021 11:29

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 It's so annoying isn't it. I wish the signs for pregnancy and AF were different would make life so much easier
