Hello! First month TTC. Currently 1DPO, no symptoms as of yet, but already feeling stressed at the thought of not knowing if we were successful for two more weeks! Worried we didn't BD enough, we did every other day during the fertile window including day before O. Anyone got any advice or just want to join in the conversation to get us through the wait?

@Daisyrobin123 I've been wondering how you're doing. Way to stay strong! Glad that you're on the mend.

@IzzT Way to stay strong too!! BFNs can just be so heartbreaking even if there's lots of time to still see a BFP.

I'm 8 DPO as well and am going to wait until at least the weekend depending on appearance of symptoms. The wait is nearly over!

My doodle Gryff FINALLY got the haircut he's needed for 6 weeks today. At risk of being THAT dog mom, I'm going to post a picture anyway Wink I've decided that if I can wait 6 weeks for this, I can wait for anything Smile

@IzzT I did wonder if you were going to test today, though I think you are right in trying to wait until 10 dpo! Tomorrow might still be too early and seeing a BFN can be disheartening.

No symptoms for me. Though I don't tend to symptom spot. My first cycle gave me really sore boobs and nausea for 5 days which I never get before AF and then BFN!

I managed to get in the doctors about my cough though and she has prescribed me an inhaler. I get horrendous hayfever so think it's all come from that. I've been unwell for nearly 4 weeks now and its only just starting to ease off. I'm soooo looking forward to just feeling normal again!!

I was reading earlier and it was saying that your luteal phase is usually always the same length. If that's the case, last month when I didnt use OPKs I completely misjudged my ovulation and so hardly DTD around ovulating (once I think) 🤦‍♀️ I was trying to be more relaxed about it all and just going off the Flo app but it seems like it was off.

IzzT · 27/04/2021 18:12

@Daisyrobin123 wow! Well done on resisting. Any symptoms?

I'm 8DPO today and super bloated. Still trying not to get my hopes up about anything. Resisted testing so far so going to see if I can get to 10DPO.

Anyone got any updates? 12 dpo today for me and still resisting the urge to test 🙈 AF due Friday but last month it was 3 days late so 🤷‍♀️ who knows!

IzzT · 26/04/2021 21:57

@dogmom0930 so true! Thank you - feel a little better now for sure! Going to get some sleep. Tomorrow is 8DPO and I've told myself I can start testing from then, but without any symptoms really I'm going to try and hold out for a few more days Confused

@IzzT I feel you! The things we want most in life tend to bring us on a roller coaster ride of emotions don't they?! Growing up, we all hear about how easy it is to accidentally have a baby. But why do we all (as adults) hear our friends or friends of friends talk about how it took them a year or years or can't conceive?? And they call 35 years+ GERIATRIC!? WTH!!?! It makes TTC such a scary thing to think about before even trying for some of us!

I'm really only on my 2nd cycle. So, I don't know much. But, I can say that even though the first month of this felt daunting, I'm finding the second month has seemed less scary because I've done it once before.

And, when I look back at some of those other big things that I've wanted in life, I see that they came at just the right time for me (and maybe wouldn't have turned out well if they came earlier). The waiting for those things wasn't easy for me either at the time. But, I know that I grew in different ways during those seasons. I trust that each of us will get our BFP in the timing that is just right.

Sorry for writing a book. But, I hope it helps even if just a little! We're all here for supporting each other Flowers

PS - If it helps, being more emotional than normal can also be a symptom Wink (but also of PMS, so who knows!)

IzzT · 26/04/2021 21:16

@dogmom0930 I know it's still super early and there's still plenty of chance it might happen but I just got this feeling tonight that it's not going to happen? I'm sure this is all just normal parts of the tww but feeling really down about it all tonight 😭 haha why did no one ever tell us how hard TTC is? And I'm only in my first cycle 😬

@IzzT I definitely was lightheaded or almost foggy feeling (around 14 dpo for me) when I had my CP last month. Nothing I ever experience normally either! Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks @charja100!

charja100 · 26/04/2021 17:39

@IzzT, @dogmom0930, @JuniperAndTonic yay to you all being halfway. Sending you all baby dust ✨hoping the next half goes quickly and we get 3 big fat BFPs!

IzzT · 26/04/2021 17:26

@JuniperAndTonic @dogmom0930 I've been feeling weird all day, been a bit lightheaded at times and had odd aches in my boobs, I don't usually get any pain there or at least I've never noticed it but it's still so early I doubt it's anything significant. I read the majority of people implant say 8-10 so we're not even at implant stage yet so couldn't have any HCG related symptoms.

Been at work today which has helped take my mind off things a bit though. Only a couple more days until we can start testing though!

dogmom0930 · 26/04/2021 17:15

@JuniperAndTonic Yay to halfway! Fingers crossed for you! :) I still think it's so funny how we all hope to feel at least a little awful in this 2ww. One of the friends I saw this weekend is due in 3 weeks and is DEFINITELY ready to be done feeling awful Wink

JuniperAndTonic · 26/04/2021 17:09

@IzzT and @dogmom0930 we’re halfway through the TWW! 💪🏻 I’ve been having cramps on and off too the last couple of days, slightly sore boobs and had terrible indigestion all day today but I’m working nights and it always messes with me and makes me feel weird so I don’t think they’re really symptoms! Can’t help wondering and over analysing though!

dogmom0930 · 26/04/2021 16:54

I'm about 7 DPO as well. I felt mostly awful all weekend with indigestion, bloating and nausea. Also hung out with 4 pregnant friends yesterday at my sis's bridal shower. So that was a great reminder of where I'm at Wink But I woke up today feeling almost normal with maybe occasional waves of slight dull ache in my boobs. For last month's CP, I think I felt twinges and cramping start around 10 DPO, so I'm sort of anxiously waiting for signs of that, assuming that was implantation as I suspect.

IzzT · 26/04/2021 08:47

@charja100 oh no! It's such a long two weeks isn't it! Fingers crossed for you!

I'm 7DPO today. Felt weird overnight, kept waking up with hot flushes, probably nothing though as it's still early days. Probably going to end up testing from tomorrow though 😂

How is everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
charja100 · 26/04/2021 07:57

How is everyone getting on? Any updates for ladies coming to the end of their TWW? I ovulated a week later than normal this month and BBT and LH strips indicate I'm probably on just 1DPO today. So I'm only just starting my TWW... I have no no patience! I know the next 14 days are going to drag! Any advice?

K8Tee · 25/04/2021 20:32

Hey ladies,

Well, 5dpo today for me today.(i think). This part is so long and cruel. I've been trying tondistracy myself which has been quite easy this week as ibe had a lot on with work, prepping to move house and prepping school appeal 🙈 but also been extra concious to not get stressed.

I also have some Internet cheapies sat in the wardrobe, I can feel them galling at me through the wardrobe door lol. Not too much longer til we can test now although it feels like forever x

IzzT · 25/04/2021 13:03

@JuniperAndTonic I'm exactly the same - got the tests ready - going to hold out until 8DPO at the earliest but will try and hold out until 10DPO! It's going to be hard though - I want to test already. I hope it gets easier after the first month 🤞

OP posts:
JuniperAndTonic · 25/04/2021 12:50

So I caved and ordered some cheap pregnancy test strips on amazon today 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m still going to try and hold out until next weekend though I think! Don’t want to be too obsessive this early on 😂

I’m back on night shifts tonight, hopefully the next week will go quickly!!

Hope you’re all having a good day, how’s everyone feeling??

IzzT · 24/04/2021 21:17

@dogmom0930 I keep telling myself that tomorrow is 6DPO so statistically I could implant from then on out so I think I'm going to be symptom spotting like crazy, up until now I've been able to tell myself scientifically I just cant be pregnant yet... Going to be a long next week!

OP posts:
dogmom0930 · 24/04/2021 21:10

@Daisyrobin123 so sorry to hear that you’re still under the weather!! Hopefully that clears up soon for you Flowers

@IzzT I’m really hoping that I don’t cave and buy tests early again this month! Now that I’m feeling the nausea and headache of progesterone at 5 DPO, I know my mind is going to start tempting me Wink

@JuniperAndTonic A gin and tonic sounds heavenly! I’ve been doing some ginger beer and juice NA cocktails the last few months during the 2WW to trick myself into thinking life is normal Smile

Daisyrobin123 · 24/04/2021 18:45

Glad everyone is ok! Like everyone, I'm just trying to keep myself distracted. I'm 9 dpo now. I've had an awful cough and cold for 3 weeks and the last week it's got so much worse so I've felt rotten. I've been really emotional the last couple of days but it's probably just because I'm fed up of feeling unwell!
It's going to take so much self-control but I'm not going to test until after AF is due which is this time next week. I generally feel much more relaxed this 2ww than the previous 2 cycles. I think I've just accepted it might take a while and I feel like I'm ok with that now. Really hope we see some BFP's on this thread over the next couple of weeks - exciting!! Anyone planning on testing soon?

IzzT · 24/04/2021 17:20

@JuniperAndTonic my husband is just so relaxed about things, he's just like it'll happen when it happens... he has a lot more patience than me Grin I actually made the mistake of buying some tests already so they're just sitting here tempting me!

How are those of you who are a little later in the tww getting on?

OP posts:
JuniperAndTonic · 24/04/2021 17:02

@IzzT it’s so confusing isn’t it - just our bodies and minds playing tricks on us! 😂

I’ve been thinking about when to test - husband said I should just wait and see if my period is late but I’m not sure I can wait that long! Been eyeing up cheap test strips on amazon...

Enjoy your dinner out! It’s so lovely to get out and feel normal again after months of lockdown!

IzzT · 24/04/2021 16:44

@JuniperAndTonic I'm also 5DPO - had crampy pains all yesterday evening - I also spent a long time googling implantation. It seems even implanting at 6DPO is only around 0.5% of all pregnancies, most are 8-10DPO I think so I don't think it's implantation, more likely just related to increased progesterone at this stage in the cycle.

I'm really struggling with the wait though, I think I'll be testing at 8DPO at this rate!

I'm also off out for dinner tonight, will be sticking to the diet coke just incase 😁

OP posts:
JuniperAndTonic · 24/04/2021 16:31

I’ve got crampy pains again today - is it too early for implantation?? Hmm Only 5DPO according to my app and Google says earliest its day 6 so it probably isn’t!!

Went out for a lovely walk today and pub lunch! Just Coke for me though although the gin and tonic was tempting!!

Hope you’re all enjoying a lovely weekend!
