Anyone else 3dpo? When do you suggest the best time to test is? I have some frer’s and some ic’s and I honestly think I won’t be able to get through the weekend without testing 😫🤣

@Emsjourney ah that’s interesting! I might give them a go next month if this cycle doesn’t work (god forbid 🤞🏽)

Fingers crossed you have an increase and get your bfp this month ❤️

@extrababydust123 yeh from what I understand you have a rise after ovulation which is usually where you can confirm ovulation occurred. It stays elevated until before af then drops back down or stays elevated if you're pregnant. Only my first month doing it. Don't know if it's worth the hassle but I wanted to check I was ovulating. Hoping there's an increase tomorrow 😞

extrababydust123 · 17/05/2021 17:23

@feliznavidad2 I have a frer left from last month, but that’s why I buy the ic’s so I don’t waste that too early! 😂

@Emsjourney I don’t really understand bbt, are you supposed to have a rise after ovulation?

OP posts:
Emsjourney · 17/05/2021 17:13

@Bundaberg84 @feliznavidad2 not too far behind you. My peak was 14/05 so guessing ovulated 15/05
Doing my bbt now too and no rise yet. Just another thing to worry about 🤦🏻‍♀️

feliznavidad2 · 17/05/2021 16:44

@Bundaberg84 you're very much covered(!) 😃

feliznavidad2 · 17/05/2021 16:44

@Bundaberg84 I just googled it, it says the tick is there if you've recorded symptoms or anything other than OPK/BBT (I didn't record BBT but did use OPK for the first time.)

Bundaberg84 · 17/05/2021 16:39

@feliznavidad2 what are the checks? Yes, seems like you covered your bases as well :) here's mine - our AF is due on the same date!

feliznavidad2 · 17/05/2021 16:39

Haha oh @extrababydust123 😝
I've got some easy@home tests ready too! Not buying FRER until closer to the time, will help me resist the temptation 🤞🏻

extrababydust123 · 17/05/2021 16:36

Well my easy @ home tests just arrived and I’ve officially lost the plot by testing at 5dpo using my 9th pee of the day 🤣 honestly what a waste hahaha

extrababydust123 · 17/05/2021 15:59

@Bundaberg84 you’re the same as me, I can’t grasp that even if I dtd every hour until ovulation that I still may not fall pregnant. It just doesn’t make sense 😂

And @feliznavidad2 we started early to but I’m so glad we did as I ended up ovulating a week earlier than expected! So luckily dtd every other day and then in the morning and evening the day of ovulation so I can only hope it was enough 🤞🏽😖

Please feel free to tell me to hush if I'm being ridiculous both. [smile]@Bundaberg84
@extrababydust123

We covered the bases and started way too early this month... hearts mean DTD. Blush

3dpo, 1st cycle. TWW with me?
Bundaberg84 · 17/05/2021 14:11

Deal @extrababydust123! Grin

And same. I covered all bases this month. We dtd every other day, one day before peak, on peak, the day after and an additonal day after. I know that even if you did everything "correctly" there's still only around 1/3 chance of getting pregnant, but it doesn't make sense to me haha

extrababydust123 · 17/05/2021 13:46

@Bundaberg84 I promise to calm you down if you promise to do the same back 😂 haha definitely worth planning ahead for and you can always rebook your vaccine!

I know I should be chilled about it but I will really be so disappointed at a bfn this month, all I’m seeing is pregnancy announcements and babies being born and I want it more than anything ☹️

OP posts:
Bundaberg84 · 17/05/2021 11:51

I know it's hard! And here I am today, feeling strong, thinking logical and in control - but in a couple of days I'm probably symptom spotting like crazy and you will need to calm me down hahah
I think I'm testing around 12dpo? I just cancelled my Covid vaccine appointment to June, so I'd have enough time to cancel in case I will test positive ;)

extrababydust123 · 17/05/2021 10:47

@Bundaberg84 you’re so right it’s just hard not to be illogical in the TWW for some reason 😂 and yes when are you hoping to test?

Hope we all get our bfp 🤞🏽

feliznavidad2 · 17/05/2021 09:51

Thanks ladies - my logical mind knows you're right, but, that little nagging voice goes 'what if...'

We'll know within a few weeks for all of us anyway.

@Bundaberg84 when are you planning to test?

Bundaberg84 · 17/05/2021 09:40

@feliznavidad2 I took a break from TTC last month and I know I couldn't be pregnant, so I was trying to track all weird symtpoms after ovulation. I was bloated, my breast hurt, my back hurt, twinges here and there, I was a bit sick for a couple of days - I would have been convinced to be pregnant :) It was nice to be able to just feel all that in an observing position.
If we look at it rationally, implantation will happen earliest 6dpo, and it will take 48 hours for hcg to develop. So earliest symtoms would start manifesting 8dpo, right?

extrababydust123 · 17/05/2021 09:11

@feliznavidad2 I was exactly the same last cycle as it was my first and I was convinced my ovulation and heightened progesterone symptoms were pregnancy symptoms (they weren’t🤣) so I’m trying not to this month! I’m 5dpo today and I don’t feel anything at all, I’m really trying to take a chilled approach as it’s hard to get yourself worked up and see that negative but every little niggle has me thinking what if 😂😂

You’re more patient than I am because I’ll probably be testing from Thursday at 8dpo, because I can’t help myself 😅

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 17/05/2021 08:48

I've lost it. Only 4dpo and I'm convinced that there something going on. Bloated, crampy, knackered.

Bit of a harsh realisation that this could just be my body being excited about coming off the pill, can't remember what normal symptoms are after ovulation. 🙄

We shall see. Think it's going to be a long week or so.

feliznavidad2 · 16/05/2021 21:07

Bless you @extrababydust123 - glad to not be symptom spotting alone. Hope you're ok.

No testing for me this week, I'm going to try and leave it atleast until next Monday or Tuesday. How about you?

Symptom spotting for me today: I'm really tired, keep yawning! And a bit (TMI) constipated, but this does happen occasionally for me anyway.. 🤔 🙄

extrababydust123 · 16/05/2021 18:06

@Bundaberg84 @feliznavidad2 thanks ladies! I ended up having 2 drinks last night which I usually wouldn’t have because I’ve been scared to, but you were both right and shouldn’t put your life on hold when if I’m going to be pregnant, probably hasn’t even implanted yet!

I’m exactly the same with the symptoms which is why I know I’m an absolute nutter, because there’s no way the things I’m feeling could be because I’m pregnant 😂 I have been horrendously bloating, currently have awful heartburn and have a stuffy nose that was there when I woke up this morning .. probably due to the progesterone as you say! 😂

Will there be any testing this week ladies?

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 15/05/2021 21:46

I'm having a few glasses of wine in this TWW but not going wild... I think it's all about balance really.

Ended up Googling earlier whether it was ok to go running in the TWW 🤦‍♀️ 🙄 alas, it says it's fine to carry on usual exercising but not to try and increase intensity or exercise more or harder than usual.

Tired this eve and crampy tummy but my good friend Google tells me it's due to increased progesterone levels at this point after ovulation. Don't know what I'd do without a search engine. 😂

Bundaberg84 · 15/05/2021 21:28

My gyn said no, ot doesn't. You shouldn't drink too much of course, nothing that would stress your body (headache, hangover, feeling sick would not be great). But it takes a couple of days, longer than 2ww, until baby would be attached to your bloodstream. So until then you're fine. It's a totally personal decision of course. But not having glass of wine then and when would make a negative in 2 weeks even worse for me ;)

extrababydust123 · 15/05/2021 14:32

@feliznavidad2 🤣 we’ve all been there! And thank you!

I always get a little worried about drinking in the TWW, do you think it would even affect anything if I had a couple of wines later at 3dpo?

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 14/05/2021 18:44

Bless you - thanks @extrababydust123

1dpo. Already decided I've got sore boobs. 🤔 Having an Indian takeaway this eve (and at least a couple of glasses of wine!) Can't wait!

Hope you all have nice weekends planned.
