Any tips on how to concieve a boy?

Obviously would love my child regardless so no judgement please. Any tips from you boy mums on what you did to concieve your boy?

I just used this - or something similar. I had a DS first and really wanted a DD so used this. It worked!

I also read that to have a boy you should put your legs above your head afterwards. Something to do with boy sperm being fast as opposed to girl sperm being strong.

None of the theories actually work in reality. Your chances remain pretty much 50/50.

And it turns out that not only was Shettles' theory debunked, he'd apparently misunderstood which were male sperm and which were female sperm.

The theory with male sperm being faster says a woman needs to orgasm after penetration and deeper the better

... And also what you eat can affect the ph of your cervical mucous and the position you have sex in can have give faster or slower swimmers the advantage. This is according to aforementioned friend, we just took our chances with ours and ended up with one of each.
Aww that's great, do you know what position favours a boy?

Google Chinese gender chart. Worked both times for me 🙂
How on earth do you know it was the Chinese gender chart that made you have boys? It was just chance.

It's timing - have sex before you ovulate and don't bother afterwards Grin (I think)

Theres that shettles technique apparently where you time the conception as its all to do with boy sperm being quicker and girl sperm living longer or something.. i dont know the details but google it. Good luck

I don't think a Chinese gender chart works do you? Lots of poor Chinese babies who are girls can attest to that.

That shettles theory has been debunked. I don't think anything can ensure you get the sex you want - after all, if that was possible there wouldn't have historically been issues around it (eg kings wanting and failing to have heirs, China one-child policy where boys were favoured etc.). I think the only trend that has been noted is during times of famine, more girls are born!

Lots and lots of sex, all the time = 4 Boys. Always wanted a girl but never happened...but I'm happy with my brood as they are all healthy and lovely

That’s true, but supposedly XY sperm swim faster but don’t last as long, whereas XX sperm are slower but hang around, so in theory if you know for certain when you’re ovulating you can time sex to increase the chances of one or the other reaching the egg.

I'm fairly certain that I conceived all three of my children on the day I ovulated. Coincidentally, all of them are boys.

I have a friend who used the shettles method because they wanted a girl after two boys and it worked for them. Worth a try I suppose.
