Just started my TWW, 1dpo today I think as I had my static smiley on Tuesday. We dtd on Friday and Saturday and twice on Sunday so hopefully I can still have a chance. DP is away so was unable to dtd since then. I'm only on cycle 2 of ttc but I am so impatient. Anyone else in the tww?

@Cherryblossom2021 I see a line too!!! I doubt an indent line would be that noticeable. Take another one just to be sure. Maybe a red dye one.

@LovelyLion3 haha 4 days to go then! 🤞🏻🤞🏻I need some restraint, don't have any FRERs only cheapies. I think they are the sensitive ones (need to check but don't want to go near the box yet!!) but I'm trying to wait it out - aaaahhhh help 🤣

LovelyLion3 · 18/04/2021 19:10

@minthumbugs I have a CB, two frer and two cheapies. I'm gonna test with a frer at like 9dpo. I'm 4dpo today. I'd like to say I'll wait until AF is due but I'd be lying. 😂

minthumbugs · 18/04/2021 10:39

You're so prepared @LovelyLion3! When do you plan to test? I'm 9dpo, my app says the first time I can test is 15dpo I think so I'm waiting it out. I have so much hope and don't want to be disappointed again 😩

LovelyLion3 · 17/04/2021 17:48

No symptoms at all as I'm only about 3dpo. Anyone closer to being able to start testing? I got some frer tests while I was out yesterday. I'm no where close to start testing but wanna be ready. Can you tell I'm Im a POAS addict. 😂 The impatience is so real.

@lilsJ2 I'm the exact same! I'm a bit of a control freak so I can't take the 'just see what happens' route lol.

Anyone have any exciting symptoms?

LilsJ2 · 17/04/2021 08:44

@minthumbugs you absolutely do! Some people might breeze through the TTC journey, I can be a bit of an anxious worrier so I am not one of those people 😂! Thank you I hope this is your month too 🤞

LilsJ2 · 17/04/2021 08:40

@LovelyLion3 thank you for sharing your storey. It really gives me hope. Some Drs are amazing but some just don’t seem to have a sensitive way with words do they! I guess they were trying to prepare you for the worst but getting pregnant within 6 months whilst on the pill is quite a far cry from what you were told! I’m so glad it worked out for you. It must be so heartbreaking and leave you feeling defeated after having multiple miscarriages. I feel that way after having 1! I totally get the feeling of impatience, I’m only on cycle 2 post miscarriage and TTC seems to be all I can think about, feel like I’m going a bit mad! Hopefully your past success stories give you some hope that you can conceive your 3rd fairly soon.

Hello @TTC94 sorry also to hear about your miscarriage, hope you are doing ok. Once is all it takes! Try your best not to test early (I’m absolutely guilty of it) but I find it just brings unnecessary stress - I do totally understand the urge though. Try and hold out for a few more days (14 DPO if you can!). Fingers crossed for you xx

minthumbugs · 17/04/2021 08:26

@LilsJ2 I'm so sorry you are feeling like that. I really can empathise because I felt that way too and it was awful. When TTC you just learn to be resilient don't you! I'm hopeful for you for this month 🤞🏻

Hello @TTC94 I'm really sorry for your loss. You know what they say though, it only takes one time! (Apparently 😆) so hopefully that was the time that did it for you 🤞🏻

LovelyLion3 · 16/04/2021 23:15

@LilsJ2 I've had two miscarriages in 2019 and now Im ready to try. I just feel so impatient. I'm not getting any younger. 😂

@LilsJ2 He had actually told me beforehand of the issues endometriosis causes. But after the miscarriage I was devastated and I remember asking him if I'd be able to have a baby and he then told me that it would be very difficult if at all possible. My 5yr old is a birth control baby! Forgot to mention that! So not only was it possible but he is really my little miracle rainbow baby as I was on the pill. The 4yr old I just wasn't taking care of myself well and he came along. Now I not only have the endometriosis but also I am older so I hope I can conceive soon. I will be 39 this year.

@LovelyLion3 do you mind if I ask why you were told that after a miscarriage? Was it following your first miscarriage that you had your first laparoscopy?

So promising to hear you’ve had two successful pregnancies, but I really am sorry about all your miscarriages and hope the next pregnancy is successful for you.

TTC94 · 16/04/2021 21:33

Hello everyone,

Hope I can join. Sorry to hear of the struggles many of you are facing and to read about your miscarriages.

I’m 9DPO today and I expect my period to arrive Tuesday. I’ve been TTC baby number 1 for 13 months and I had a miscarriage in February.

We only managed to have sex once during my fertile window this cycle so I’m not feeling particularly hopeful.

I’m hoping I won’t cave and test early!

Good luck everyone xx

LovelyLion3 · 16/04/2021 21:21

@LilsJ2 Yes after a miscarriage I was told I might not be able to get pregnant and if I did it would be very difficult. Six cycles later I got pregnant with my now 5yr old. Then again with my now 4yr old. I've had two miscarriages since then so I am really hoping it happens soon and that it sticks.

@minthumbugs sorry to hear about your miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy.

I started going down the route of seeing someone more specialist but then found out I was pregnant so never got round to taking investigations further and just haven’t felt like persuing it all again since the miscarriage.

It’s very encouraging to hear you’ve had one child already, I’ve got myself into a right state at times worrying that my symptoms mean it’s going to be a serious struggle to get pregnant or stay pregnant. I don’t think the miscarriage has helped with my anxiety around that! Yes I am trying for my first 😊.

@LovelyLion3 again, really encouraging to hear success stories of endometriosis and conceiving. And 6 cycles really isn’t that long (although I know each month feels like a year when you’re TTC!) so hopefully the end of this cycle brings a bfp for as many of us as possible 😊

Orwell08 · 16/04/2021 17:11

@Daisyrobin123 well I think we just look at him and think he’s so great we have to have another one ASAP haha! It is difficult though coz we can only really dtd when he’s asleep and most of the time we are exhausted 😂 very grateful for what we have though ☺️

@minthumbugs and @LovelyLion3 yes we must be insane signing up for more. I think my mind has blocked out the newborn memories of zero sleep and sore nipples!

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 16:51

Oh please don't @LovelyLion3 😂😂 yet here we are signing up for more of it!

LovelyLion3 · 16/04/2021 16:50

@minthumbugs I agree. Terrible 2's is very misleading. It's more like terrible 2's, 3's and 4's. Grin

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 16:47

@orwell08 snap! My LO is 2 in the Summer. Terrible twos is misleading, it's here already 😴

Daisyrobin123 · 16/04/2021 16:44

@orwell08 Ah I can imagine it's not easy with a 2 year old running around! Does it help keep your mind off it? I'm a teacher so when I'm at work I don't think about it so much but a couple of my 2ww's have fell in the holidays and so ttc stress takes over! Yes this would be our first. 🥰

Orwell08 · 16/04/2021 16:18

@Daisyrobin123 hello! Last time it happened straight away. I think it’ll be harder this time because I’m older and I’ve also put on weight which won’t be helping. On top of that I have an almost 2 year old so can’t exactly dtd at any given moment haha! Is this for your first pregnancy?

Daisyrobin123 · 16/04/2021 16:08

@minthumbugs No I'm totally with you there! 😂

@lovelylion3 I know what you mean about feeling like it's not going to happen this month. I'm generally quite a positive person but with ttc I seem to have already set myself up for failure. I read a post the other week and the girl said she went and read some threads on the infertility pages and it really helped her get some perspective. I'm only three months in so I feel like I shouldn't be worrying yet but that's easier said than done when you're in the thick of it isn't it. I think the time when symptoms appear varies from person to person so vastly that it's hard to tell. From reading on here some people seem to think they had signs from 3DPO whilst some get none at all!
Hi @orwell08 🖐 I'm 1dpo too. How long did it take you to concieve the first time? Fingers crossed for you 🥰

@firstbornunicorn Good luck! 🌷

minthumbugs · 16/04/2021 15:29

Yep definitely @danielleb97! I used to use CB digital tests too so seeing 'not pregnant' come up is horrible. We can keep each other sane while we desperately wait it out 😂

@firstbornunicorn hopefully it's a BFP for you tomorrow, my fingers are crossed. And even if it's not tomorrow it could still be in a few days time 🤞🏻

@Orwell08 there really is not much worse.. our bodies are so cruel. Baby dust X x
