@ChinChilly @Gracie2021 @FlyingGiraffe thanks! Yeah they want a second sample to confirm it and it can be improved so that’s good but still just really disappointing as it’s going to be harder for us and less likely we’ll conceive naturally so just feel like our chances have been further lowered y know. Oh well, the health kick starts tomorrow lol.

@Juno231 thank you! Oh I haven’t heard of that supplement. Just looked it up there. He does already take wellman conception but I wonder if he should swap to that? Or take both?! They don’t offer IVF at all in our area so don’t think the two year thing applies to us but we’ll continue with the tests I guess and then explore private IVF when they’re all done. Hopefully it’ll improve anyway in the next few months.

@Kay00 ugh so insensitive! Haha I don’t think your sis is on here 🤣👀

@MissC07 hoping for an earlier ovulation for you 🙏🏻

FlyingGiraffe · 07/04/2021 18:06

@TheHotelCalifornia thanks for setting up the new party!

@Cams50 it sounds like the low morphology can be resolved so that's a positive thing to take from today.

@Emmgrem hope you see this! Following from the last thread! Do you have a link to the raspberry tea you used? The one I looked at is out of stock for 1-2 months and some say loose tea is better? 🤷🏻‍♀️ That's great that things are starting to settle this month! When is AF due? How often is the acupuncture? I have been recommended someone for that but have put off going. I haven't found the agnus castus mess anything up for me but I didnt take the full dose of 2 capsules. This month I got to 8dpo before I started spotting which was an improvement (would you believe!🙄) By the way, I'm all for boarding the crazy train if it means a bfp! 🚂🚂 I just had Conceive+ fertility lubricant delivered. Have used Preseed previously but thought why not throw some more money at it incase this one works miracles! 🤞😂

Hi and welcome to all the new peeps! 👋

MissM94 · 07/04/2021 18:01

@Kay00 maybe because we're all such maternal girls, I know I personally find it so hard when people speak about babies and kids in such a negative way and how it's just a disposable thing if it happens.. I started a new job and my step monster in law is my boss (didn't realise she would be, would NOT recommend it) and she's always been weird about kids, she doesn't have any.. always brings it up "you're not planning on having kids anytime soon are you?!" Well yeah bitch I am, but I'm not going to tell you that! And the minute I accepted the job I shit you not she said "I hope you're not gonna get pregnant any time soon cos we need you to actually work at work, we need full time not these part timers cos they have a kid" for one, my child will be her grandchild (OH's dads girlfriend) - he's always spoke about how he cannot wait to be a grandad, they don't know anything about us trying or anything & I'm just like, how the fuck can people be that cold about something like being someone's mother?! Blows my mind, but yeah.. your sister sounds as lovely as the dragon in my life 😂😅

Kay00 · 07/04/2021 17:54

Now I'm worried my sis is on this thread 🤣🤣🤣

Kay00 · 07/04/2021 17:53

Thanks ladies, I think you're right, I'll wait and surprise them with a scan photo (hopefully)! My sis definitely has a mean side (she's a bit Jekyll and Hyde) and I can imagine her trying to put me off... in fact I just got off the phone to her just now and she said that she's not on the pill... I said 'oh! I assume you're not trying to get pregnant?' She said no... she's being careful, but if she wanted one 'she could just have one' and if she got pregnant now she'd have an abortion 😪. Seriously... im not sure why she keeps coming out with these things about babies!? Maybe she IS trying? It's odd anyway 😕

@missc07 hopefully you'll get an earlier ovulation this time 🤞

@hrhxo it's certainly possible you could ovulate early... its not completely unheard of to have short cycles especially straight off the pill, but more likely your body is just gearing up to ovulate. Ovulation pains can happen before, during or after ovulation!

MissM94 · 07/04/2021 17:48

@ChinChilly @Juno231 so it is just old blood? I've always called it that but never really know it was that 😂 btw I've done a name change I was melissaq94 but changed it to this cos I went on another thread and started talking shit about my step MIL so wanted to be extra careful not to get found out 😂😂😂

Nothing really new with me, my last cycle was 34 days which is the shortest one I've had post pill.. and AF came bang on the day my apps said she was due so I guess that's a good sign! I ovulated later than my app said but still a positive OPK and sharp pain for 15 minutes fills me with hope that I'm alright under the hood haha and I'm "regular" according to the Flo app after her telling me I'm irregular for the past few months 😂

HRHXO · 07/04/2021 17:42

Good afternoon ladies, just catching up!

I am CD7, just finished with AF, first one since stopping the pill and today I have a strange pinching/ache in my lower left hand of my abdomen. I can't be ovulating already as literally just finished AF and not due to ovulate until next week.

Did anyone else experience this after stopping the pill?

MissC07 · 07/04/2021 17:26

@TheHotelCalifornia thanks for setting up the new thread! Just saving my place here ❤️

Cd10 and nothing to report. Only another 20+ days until I potentially ovulate again... 😩

Good luck to everyone testing soon! We need some good news 🌟

Gracie2021 · 07/04/2021 17:25

@Kay00 wow she's fun. I think I'd be with the rest, safer to say nothing and rock up with a nice scan (hopefully very shortly). That said there's a balance there if you want your mams support while TTC etc which might factor into the decision too.

Also..... think we're of an age together.... and ouch! It's like when I watch Gen Z videos on tiktok and feel like an ould wan!

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 16:42

@Kay00 wow, those comments could definitely be hurtful! Sometimes I think families especially don’t get how they’re comments can come across without meaning anything bad by it....I always thought I would just surprise my parents with a scan pic but after the CP I did tell my mom what had been going on she had already guessed we were TTC tbh but I had played it down...felt like a relief! It depends if you think telling them will add an extra layer of pressure or not.

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 16:40

@Kay00 ha depends on how much you like your sister! Based on the crappy comments I'd shove a scan in her face as otherwise maybe she'll be coming out with insensitive comments about TTC instead? Eg are you sure/aren't you too old or gosh it only took ME two tries before I conceived - aren't I super fertile! or whatever Grin

Kay00 · 07/04/2021 16:02

@Juno231 Gawd knows...!! I would like to think the Soy had some part to play, but I also think in the last couple of weeks I have really got my inflammation under control (through diet I assume) and my symptoms have reduced, so that might have a part to play too ??

I'm toying with whether to tell my mum and sister that I have been TTC soon... my sister keeps making throw away comments about how she 'wouldn't want a kid now at her age... she feels too old' (she's 3 years younger than me) and last night she suggested I move back to Wales when I'm old and my OH dies so I can be close to her daughter so I am not lonely ... that one hurt Sad. I don't think she's trying to be mean, but she clearly thinks i'm past it and not going to have any kids.

Or... should I one day just surprise them with a scan photo? (assuming I every get there!) Grin

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 15:41

@Gracie2021 I’ve never been good at resisting temptation 😂

Gracie2021 · 07/04/2021 15:05

@Cams50 sorry to hear it. Must be a disappointment but as you say can be managed by lifestyle and seems positive they've asked for another sample to double check it. Glad for you guys that you started testing early and at least each test result is one step closer to a BFP even if it feels crappy now.

@ChinChilly stay strong! You can hold out. Think how nice it will be getting good news right ahead of the weekend. I'm visualising a positive test here!!!

@Juno231 @Cams50 thanks for the advice ladies. I'll stick with my own doctor for now so. I'm not usually squeamish just if things got intimate a female doctor is easier. Have decided I'll give him a call on CD1 so Monday week if things go as they usually do. Even if he tells me to go away for another month or so, at least I'll have started discussions.

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 15:04

@Cams50 just saw your SA results. The good thing is that you won't have to wait 2 years for help now - and in the meantime he can take supplements? On some of the other threads I'm on I've seen OHs have amazing results after taking impryl - so perhaps worth checking that? Also one SA isn't enough to diagnose anything - they'll have him take another one in a few months time and his morphology could be completely normal then even without any lifestyle changes - purely due to the snapshot nature of SAs!

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 14:57

@Gracie2021 @Juno231 I am not strong willed do not encourage me 😂😂😂

@Cams50 It’s never nice to hear that anything it not how it should be/expected to be but it’s good that it can be improved and hopefully that is the only thing getting in your way at the moment...also I’m guessing they have asked for another sample because one sample is not reliable enough?

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 14:46

@Gracie2021 hm do you think your GP will be the one doing it? Mine always just referred me to the local hospital for ultrasounds etc. It's usually done by an ultrasound specialist and not just your run of the mill GP I don't think! So I wouldn't worry :)

@ChinChilly Friday! How on earth am I meant to last that long Grin

@Kay00 ah that's the clearest ovulation you've had in MONTHS. What a beaut. Do you think it was the soy that did it or complete fluke?

Cams50 · 07/04/2021 14:43

@ChinChilly @Kay00 @Juno231 @Gracie2021 thank you! So he just picked up the referral letter from the GP for the SA retake and it had the results attached thankfully. So he has really low morphology which is disappointing but it can improve with lifestyle changes over time and at least he has sperm there as I know there can be none. Everything else was normal. But it does make it all the harder for us to conceive naturally. And that’s without further investigations for me! Gah this is all so much harder than I thought.

@Kay00 so happy you’re in with a change this month!

@Gracie2021 we’re trying 12 months now. We started the investigations about 2 months and it’s taken this long for this so worth starting for your own peace of mind but hopefully you’ll be successful this month so won’t need to! Also I’ve had ultrasounds in the past for breakthrough bleeding on the pill and the GP refers you to a hospital so he wouldn’t do the ultrasound himself I don’t think if that helps.

Gracie2021 · 07/04/2021 14:23

@ChinChilly so funny. Tbh I think my hubby got a fright when I mentioned we weren't too far off him having to do an SA. Think it gave him a bit of a shock 😂😂🙈

Omg 😳 now you have me half hoping you do one today as I'm excited for you. But also respecting the will power if you do manage to make it to friday!

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 14:20

@Gracie2021 my GP surgery is a ‘medical centre’ with loads of GPs so you literally just get whoever is available, I don’t even know who my actual GP is, I think it’s more than reasonable to ask to speak to female GP, although I’m sure your male GP has seen a heard much worse things 😂😂 when my OH was pulling a face about doing an SA I was like do you really think your jar of jizz is the worst thing that doctor seen 🤣

@Kay00 I just need to sit on my hands until Friday I’m already thinking if I hold myself until I get home will that be a long enough hold 😂

Gracie2021 · 07/04/2021 14:02

@TheHotelCalifornia thanks for the invite. Perching daintily ready for the tea ☕️

@AllyCat31 @HRHXO @MissM94 @feliznavidad2 think I missed a few welcomes. Hope your journeys here are brief and productive 👍

@Kay00 lovely rise. Fingers crossed!

@Cams50 hope ye get answers before too long. I'm like that, always prefer to be kept in the loop as without knowing what's up the kind can hit through dozens of possibilities. Glad that things are moving for ye though. How long are ye trying now if you don't mind me asking? If this cycle doesn't take, we're at 10 months so planning to at least open discussions with my doctor then.

@ChinChilly well done for the will power and glad you've seen another rise. Fingers crossed for you for Friday.

@Flowers222 you're not out til you're out. Fingers crossed.

Just in terms of reaching out to my doctor, he's a guy and have been with him a long time so tons of history and trust built up. But hearing about possible future trans vaginal ultrasounds etc etc I think I'd be more comfortable with a woman if we end up moving forward with fertility testing in the months ahead etc. Anyone moved doctor within their surgery for this reason? Hopefully getting ahead of myself but figure not a bad idea to think about it now.

LauraT94 · 07/04/2021 13:30

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you for the new thread!

Just popping my head in so I can stay and lurk 👀😂❤️

AllyCat31 · 07/04/2021 13:25

Yay new thread, thanks @TheHotelCalifornia

Hi @HRHXO I was also on the pill for 15 years and I’m 31 TTC baby 1, first cycle. I did a similar thing to you and tested for a few cycles to see what’s what. My cycle basically never got regular (72-56 day cycles so far) so I just OPK from CD10 until I get a line then twice a day to work out the peak. Ive worked it out the last few months but it’ hard going. I would recommend getting a cup or something to pee in that’s easier than trying to pee on the stick 😂

Kay00 · 07/04/2021 13:20

@cams50 I think its a good idea to contact the GP, hopefully its just a technical error with the test rather than anything wrong with OH's sample.

I'm 5 (possibly 4) DPO and I'm feeling pretty pleased that I actually ovulated! It's nice to be back in the game!
