Tables laden with high-end afternoon tea, beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers, and a string quartet playing softly in the background…it’s the Post Pill Party Garden Soiree! The girls have swapped their checked shirts for pastel dresses and it’s time to sit back and relax after a stressful few weeks (months…years!!)

If it happens that you are pregnant before dose 2, you should discuss with your GP about whether or not to cancel it. Covid19 may pose a far higher risk to your pregnancy than vaccine (just to emphasise vaccine has no known risks to pregnancy), esp if you are being offered it due to being clinically vulnerable.

Hope that all helps Smile

RCOG and RCM say "The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) published updated advice on 30 December 2020 to say that women who are trying to become pregnant do not need to avoid pregnancy after vaccination.

Getting vaccinated before pregnancy will help prevent COVID-19 infection and its serious consequences. In some cases, women will need to make a decision about whether to delay pregnancy until after the vaccine becomes available to them. There is no evidence to suggest these types of vaccines cause issues with fertility. PHE will in due course publish its safety advice on the each of the COVID-19 vaccines"

@Lovebug06

I've had dose 1 and am booked for dose 2 (NHS Clinician). They didn't mention not TTC to me at all. There is no evidence of harm, nor any sensible way either vaccine would harm fertility or a fetus. The only reason they are not yet telling pregnant ladies to get it, is that it hasnt explicitly been tested on pregnant people (cause you aren't allowed to, but some people in the vaccine trials got unexpectedly pregnant and it was fine).

Point 4.6 on these (1 for each vaccine) from UK gov : www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca/information-for-healthcare-professionals-on-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-pfizer-biontech-vaccine-for-covid-19/information-for-healthcare-professionals-on-pfizerbiontech-covid-19-vaccine
RCM and RCOG: www.rcm.org.uk/media-releases/2021/january/statement-from-rcm-and-rcog-on-covid-19-vaccinations-fertility-and-pregnancy/
I also think this is quite a good summary, from vogue: www.vogue.co.uk/beauty/article/covid-vaccine-fertility

Juno231 · 09/04/2021 14:03

@Lovebug06 the advice per the NHS now is that you can have the vaccine and carry on TTC. I think they just say to hold off the second lot if pregnant? On the other thread I'm on there's plenty that have had the vaccine due to work or health conditions and they've all been told it's okay.

Cams50 · 09/04/2021 14:01

@Lovebug06 I personally would get it and keep ttc. I think it was @TheDaydreamBelievers who posted lots of useful articles on this before and basically there is no evidence that it causes any problems but they just can’t test it on pregnant women.

Lovebug06 · 09/04/2021 13:48

Ah I've only just found you all

I've been offered the vaccine. I don't know what to do and I need to decide ASAP.

After so long trying I will not stop for months, it could effect any help I will need and I don't think I could mentally take it tbh, I would prefer to put off having it.

I thought the advice had changed anyway and it was okay to carry on trying but the Internet is just so mixed on this subject.

Have any of you had it and carried on or what will you do?

ChinChilly · 09/04/2021 09:40

@Tillybabs my OH works with a girl who got pregnant by accident twice....TWICE!!! 😂

Tillybabs · 09/04/2021 09:38

@ChinChilly I saw the article and thought the Dane thing haha. I can’t even get pregnant the once! Well not yet anyway

As for the 40 year old on the pill, there is hope for me yet!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

ChinChilly · 09/04/2021 09:38

Hilarious,

@Kay00 might ask her what tea she was drinking 😂😂

@Flowers222 Dammit, your pink edges gave me positive vibes for you!!

@Juno231 I didn’t see it but FFS how do people get pregnant by accident...like the whole condom ripped and I got pregnant! So the condom just so happen to malfunction on one of your 5 fertile days WTF 😂

I expected to get up today with AF in fun flow but nothing yet..cmon you witch show yourself 👀 😂

Thank god it’s friday 🎉

Juno231 · 09/04/2021 09:31

@ChinChilly omg stop it lol! Did you see the thread on here this week? She was 40, on the pill and still got pregnant by accident. We can't even get pregnant when trying to!

@kay00 not sure why FF only changed it now but I think it could be either day really. The EWCM post ovulation is confusing though!

@MrsHInch welcome! here's to you only being with us for a short while before you get that BFP Grin

Flowers222 · 09/04/2021 09:27

@ChinChilly 😂😂 pregnant whilst pregnant! What is that all about

@Kay00 I think @Cams50 might be right and it is due to the EWCM plus the peak OPK maybe. Otherwise I can't see any other reason for it.

So turns out it was a nasty evap! Temps dropped off a cliff this morning so I am just waiting for AF to show herself. I guess positives are nice high temps for the whole of my lp and no spotting before af this time. On to cycle 8!

Also waiting for my withdrawal bleed @MrsHInch after stopping taking Desogestrel on 14/3/21. Fingers crossed for us both. 🤞🏻

Kay00 · 09/04/2021 09:07

@ChinChilly seriously??!! What she ovulated, then ovulated again 3 weeks later?? Give me a break... I struggle to ovulate one. What crazy flavoured tea was she drinking??!! Grin haha!

Cams50 · 09/04/2021 08:54

@ChinChilly wtf 😂😂😂 ffs 😒

ChinChilly · 09/04/2021 08:49

MrsHInch · 09/04/2021 08:32

That's for the welcomes ladies 🤞for a withdrawal bleed soon so we can properly get at it!

ChinChilly · 09/04/2021 07:58

@MrsHInch sorry, I missed your message! My period/withdrawal bleed came about 4 weeks after I stopped the pill, they’ve been regular since but no luck yet! I think it’s just abit of a really irritating waiting game!

Cams50 · 09/04/2021 07:39

@Kay00 hmm is it do with EWCM after ovulation? But I don’t know why it would only have changed it today?

@Flowers222 keeping everything crossed!

@MrsHInch welcome! I got my withdrawal bleed 3 weeks after stopping but everyone’s different. Hope it happens for you soon.

Morning ladies! FF moved my Ov day from CD26 to CD27, I know it doesn't really matter, but wondered when you thought it might have happened 🤷‍♀️

ChinChilly · 09/04/2021 07:01

@Kay00 @Tillybabs it is just awful sad, my heart just broke watching it last night...there really can’t be anything worse than that as a parent

Tillybabs · 09/04/2021 00:11

@ChinChilly yes I’ve been following their story and was in tears earlier watching his video message.

Life can be so cruel! She’s such a beautiful happy baby

Kay00 · 08/04/2021 23:32

@chinchilly I'm not familiar with Ashley Cain, but how horrible for him and his family, that poor little baby x

Kay00 · 08/04/2021 23:30

@mrshinch Welcome!! Congrats on the new relationship, hopefully you'll be successful in your new attempts x I'm 35 too, so totally get what you're saying about the old body clock ⏰😉

ChinChilly · 08/04/2021 23:21

@Tillybabs ahh it’s ok, I’m ok with whatever will be! Had a chat with OH tonight and I’m going to stop focusing on TTC and focus on my health to distract myself.

Has anybody been following the story of Ashley Cain’s daughter, the update tonight was heartbreaking, really put things into perspective 😞
