Morning ladies! Sorry I’ve been missing I kinda gave up on tracking this month.... but over the past couple of days I noticed a massive surge in my RHR (I’m usually at a 55 for AF and yesterday it was 76! I have got an awful cold as well so that may have contributed but I also just got my BFP

Okay so my ovulation day was yesterday by the opks. DH fell asleep and as much as he says wake him up he is SO hard to wake up and just wouldn't. I feel embarrassed because I was FUMING.
We dtd the night before (my opk reading was actually higher then) and the one before that. I'm hoping I still have a good chance because honestly I'm gutted!

@MissM94 genetically I don't see how skipping a generation would work but also if your dad is a twin then that would have been due to his mother and I don't think female reproduction related genes would pass through a male 🤔

I have had a very moody Saturday... I guess its my hormones? I have known all along that I'm being irrational and that my poor DP doesn't deserve all (some) of my snarky comments I sent his way today... but I literally couldn't stop myself. Anyone else get like this in the TWW? Is it down to a surge is progesterone??

@MrsHInch @Willo95 Honestly, I totally empathise and get what you’re feeling as I’m sure so many do on this thread!

I, myself, am so new to this too and honestly, it’s only been a couple months and I’m so less stressed worrying about my cycles post contraception than I was at the start. It just takes time. I took off my last patch February 11th, had my withdrawal bleed 4 days later as expected, and then when I was supposed to pop a new patch on on the 18th I didn’t. Which from that point meant we were officially off contraception. It felt FOREVER waiting for my next bleed. I convinced myself I had something wrong with me before even giving my body a chance to bleed! Which was stupid really as I just built up unnecessary fear. I researched everything from PCOS, infertility and any tiny symptom I experienced. And then, bam...6 weeks later AF showed up and I was so relieved (sure I won’t be after a few months of TTC, I’ll want her to now show up but for this time I was so glad to see her! 😂) and I’m now waiting for my second bleed. If I go back to a 28 day cycle, she should show up on the 26th. And if not and it’s a little longer, at least I have had one bleed, so I know she’s working at her own pace in there some way! But I totally get the first wait is agonising just to know everything is ‘normal’. I’ve only now this week started to do OPK’s, and that’s so I can work out if I’m ovulating.

Keep the faith and it’ll come, just takes patience.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far, I’m slumped on the sofa with Easter eggs. Stuck for anything to watch! Now Ant & Dec’s SNT is finished there is such a lack of programmes to laugh along with tonight...Harry Potter it is!

@HRHXO @AllyCat31 We are pretty much all in the same boat! Came off the patch middle of February, had one AF 6 weeks later and just awaiting the second one now. If I’m 28 days, I have just over another couple weeks wait. But I just don’t know as I waited 42 days for it post my withdrawal bleed. I’m also new to OPK’s myself, just started testing this Wednesday just incase I do bleed when I expect to so I can catch it first time. But tbh, it’s all still a lot to think about!

@TheHotelCalifornia Yes AF arrived in full force this morning, a day later than normal. Quite painful this time so I'm sat here feeling a little sorry for myself.

@Cams50 I’m pretty sure this is the 3rd time I’ve said it 😂😂 my RHR is the best thing for giving me the heads up AF is coming! To be honest I’m sick of dehydrating myself and holding my piss for OPKs and waking up at 6:30 every morning to take my temp 😂😂

@TheHotelCalifornia thanks. I’m going to up my b vitamins. I do take them already but I’m going to start a higher dose. I briefly took Agnus Castus but stopped because I scared myself with the mixed results but interesting that you find them good. Do you take them the whole cycle? One tablet a day? Your symptoms sound really promising but I understand why you must be so nervous. I hope it is a bfp and a sticky bean ❤️ Your chart looks amazing.

@ChinChilly thanks! I totally get where you’re coming from. This cycle my chart gave me a heads up as my temps had been gradually falling but I’ve had previous charts that looked great and AF just arrived. Hope it works for you. I’ve also spent so much money on this and keep saying I’ll go back to basics but never do 🤣 I admire your will power!

@Cams50 that sucks about your LP, this cycle was the longest LP to date! I think there are some things you can do to lengthen your LP that the ladies on here have previously tried?

@TheHotelCalifornia that all sounds super positive. Yeah I was Abit disappointed because my chart did look so good but it made me realise that all the temping and stuff doesn’t really make a difference or mean anything. My messiest chart was the one I got a BFP on. Sooo I’m making the decision to jack it all, no temping, no OPKs, no examining CM because none of it changes the outcome. We DTD quite alot from when AF leaves until ovulation anyway, my libido drops off after ovulation for some reason. I’ve already spent far too much money on this TTC shiz so it’s time to take back to basics for me!

That probs mean I may not post as much on here as I won’t have any charts or anything to post but I’ll still be lurking around 👀 . I think I’ll use an app so I’ve got a vague idea of when AF is due. I’ve said all this before but I’m fairly certain this time round..so here’s to shagging and hoping for the best 😂😂😂

@feliznavidad2 they just need to get their info and guidelines straight. I made my decision to have it, but when the actual place vaccinating is telling me not to have it I can understand why women who are trying aren't. Because not matter what information you read and are given, if the the actual place says no then that is pretty bad. And exactly why women trying are probably not getting it! Very strange.
@Cams50 sorry to hear AF is coming. It's a horrible feeling after the wait. Be kind to yourself ❤️

@feliznavidad2 exactly what I was thinking! I'm swaying more towards just keeping my May start date but with COVID still sticking around it's throwing me off as there is no way I could not have the full pregnancy experience of baby showers, seeing friends and family, going out to places! And also partners being at scans and appointments and wearing masks and what not.. So I'm hoping this lockdown is our last one and we'll be coming out of it!

@Kat668 I have no idea if or when I've ovulated... I'm keen to avoid ovulation tests so early on as figure I'll probably get hooked but equally don't like not knowing where I am, if that makes sense.

Thinking of giving it another month or two before testing for ovulation and attempting to focus on healthy eating/exercise/less alcohol in the meantime... she says.

Sorry should have said I believe I ovulated because of EWCM :)
