@lovebug06 stop making excuses for MIL - if she's hurting you with her comments then her intent doesn't mean anything, have OH stand up for you and consider it practice for when you set boundaries to protect your future babies! She sounds awful based on her comments tbh - and why on earth is she telling family about your reproductive abilities??

I'm starting to believe that my body has become 'used' by OH's sperm, we have been together 17 years after all! I'm sure if I had sex with another person (haha... not that i'm making any plans!) i'd fall pregnant straight away! I think they call that Sod's Law haha!

9DPO here... Temps are still nice and high. Had a few cramps yesterday and day before but looking at past charts that's not unusual for me. I am going to the hospital for my 2nd colonoscopy on Sunday (joy!) so will be expected to pee in a cup for a pregnancy test before hand. I'll be 12DPO, shall I bother testing before hand?

I need to take super strong laxatives for 24 hours before the procedure, which should leave me dehydrated etc. I'm not sure how that would effect any hypothetical little bean?? It's not ideal timing really.

@Gracie2021 he had the letter through yesterday so he is going to rebook. Although he is going to ask if it's quicker if he collects the pot one day and then takes it in straight in after doing his business instead of doing it in there as apparently they allow this? May be quicker than waiting to go in and do it. Not sure if anyone here DH has done this.
MIL doesn't mean to be rude. She kind of has no filter. Also only has sons so wonder if this could be something.. And conceived them easily. DH tells me to ignore her as she doesn't mean it but sometimes it's too much. Especially telling the family I have something wrong and it won't happen till I've had help 😭 I do answer and say things but it makes no difference.
@Juno231 I'm hoping it's a fluke but at least we shall find out with the next one. Hopefully not too far off.
I've just read how long all your referals took and I am thinking oh my god... I'm not gonna get seen for a very long time then, I don't think I could wait that long, maybe I should do private.
I'm a week away from AF which will be cycle 18 so about 2 weeks behind you!

One of my good friends is pregnant. Only been with her partner for probably 6ish months and 4 months pregnant. I've been told by another friend. I think everyone told but me. I mean I understand she may feel awkward but it being just me not told makes me feel a bit crap.. I had to try so hard to come across happy about it to my other friend though.. Don't get me wrong any close pregnancy is hard to take but an accidental one especially and even more when they'd been together a few weeks! I feel like a bitch but it makes you feel crap inside don't it?! I am truly happy for anyone but its just a rollercoaster of emotions when someone close is pregnant. I know I'm irrational as well😂

@MissM94 did you track ovulation this time? Sounds like it could have just been a bit late - it happens every now and then even for the regular people, so I suspect your GP would just tell you to go away.

@Emmgrem gosh week 14 for a booking app! I'd hate that, I'd be worried about my blood tests being done too late!

Still no AF for me ladies and just done a FRER on my third wee of the day.. BFN obviously so I'm just confused, do you reckon I should ring the doctor? I just can't understand why my periods will start fucking up at the 6 month mark?

Also I loved my fitbit but took it off when my RHR dipped one day and it drove my sick with worry, just a warning really to ignore it to an extent now you’ve had your bfp!

@Emmgrem thank you 😊 I was shocked when she called I even said she could leave it for a few weeks if she wanted to 😅 I'm surprised how quickly everything has happened tbh my scan before i got my BFP came through really quickly. I'm hoping to get in for an early scan, I'm just taking each day as it comes at the moment, did you find you could see much on your scan at 7+5? I'm not sure when to time it for if i get that far

Thank you @Juno231 @Kay00 @Gracie2021 - the clinic I have approached is attached to our nhs service (all same clinicians). Their website only mentions ICSI and IVF so will see if they offer ovulation help. I'm also going to re-approach GP and see who they referred me to and get the actual numbers from my test results (dont trust them to say what is normal for fertility or not). They said they referred to gynaecology but unsure if that is fertility gynaecology or generic.

I can't believe you've got your booking appt already!!! I'm nearly 9 weeks now and haven't even had the midwife call to book in the booking appt 🙈 they said it's crazy busy down south so some scans don't happen until the 14 week mark either 🙄 it's crazy! Had a private scan at 7+5 though and all looking good but can't believe how long people have to wait if they don't go private...

@TheDaydreamBelievers I've gone down the NHS route. Started in July last year, took until Nov to get the referral sorted and then didn't meet with the fertility clinic until Feb but my original appointment wasn't going to be until 17th of May! To be honest if they tell me the IVF waiting list is stupidly long I might end up going the private route whilst waiting anyway. I'm 33 now for reference btw, I think knowing what I know now, I'd have gone private if I was a couple of years older.

@AllyCat31 I think the general rule is that it rises after ovulation, drops just before AF is due or stays high if your pregnant.

@ChinChilly thankfully my Apple Watch tracks my RHR but I don’t know what to think of it really. I might do a bit more reading about it and pay a bit more attention next cycle

@TheDaydreamBelievers I have gone private. From my first form submission it was 6 weeks until my appointment with them, but I don't know if it would have been any longer if I had got an NHS referral.

Costs so far:

£180 - Inital consultation (paid)
£0 (?) blood tests ordered at my local GP surgery
£105 - SA (waiting on instructions on how to organise)
£350 - HyCoSy (to be done after results from blood tests

I expect there to be more costs further down the line. My next consultation (further £110) will be months away, so the costs are spread.

@AllyCat31 definitely drive yourself mad and it's not always right, I don't really have anything to go by this cycle apart from my RHR but by looking at it at the beginning of the week I was convinced I was out

Thanks for sharing @ChinChilly I guess I could drive myself mad analysing my chart haha I keep googling what implantation dips look like but they don’t look any different from normal cycles that end in AF 😂😂

Yea @Gracie2021 trying not to over think it but my literal phase was only 11 days last cycle. I don’t have regular cycles at all since coming off the pill. Some are 70 days, some are 36. It’s impossible to work out what’s going on!

@FlyingGiraffe my aim is to try and be successful before that happens which gives us 3 months I think. But we’re gonna be at theirs for 6-8 weeks so I don’t think we can miss out on two whole cycles TTC - it’s going to be interesting if we are still trying by then 😊

For any of you ladies that track RHR you might find this of interest mine has only just started rising really it was abit flat leading up to my BFP, obviously I'm not to sure when I ovulated so I couldn't mark it on there

I'm Cd11 today and looking back 3 out of the last 4 cycles have been cd16 ovulation so we're dtd every other day now starting last night. @AllyCat31 I have a similar dilemma with my Mum coming to stay during fertile week! Like yourself I don't fancy dtd whilst shes here but I also don't want to miss a month! Definitely going to feel like teenagers! 😂

@AllyCat31 ignore any dips at this stage. If your literal phase tends to be standard length drops from approx 9/10DPO are only really relevant. Seen tons of pregnancy charts with dips and rises til then. Maybe book a few well timed nights away with the OH around ovulation time? That’s an awkward one 🙈

11DPO and BFN so I’m prob out for this month. Annoyingly FF is still showing me at 63 pregnancy points and 48% of similar charts showing a pregnancy. Feel like it’s just trolling at this stage. How does it not factor in negative test results. But onwards and upwards to the next cycle and in the meantime a massive big bubble bath planned for the weekend after AF arrives. Also, my new approach this month was just testing every morning after 9 DPO cause least that way I’d pulled the trigger in the morning and could then forget about it for the day instead of wondering. Plenty of Easy@home cheapies lying around so might do that next month too. Time to go stock up on clearblue digital ovulation now.

Sorry I’ve been so busy trying to sell my flat. Stressful 😫 currently 7DPO and temp took a slight dip this morning. AF due Monday or Thursday depending on which app I use. Really hoping we get lucky soon as it looks like we’re gonna have to move in with OH parents while we’re waiting for our house to be ready and I don’t fancy DTD too much while we’re there - anyone got any experience of this? I think we will feel like teenagers again 😂

Those of you who have fertility appts - are they NHS or private? I've just tonight emailed a private clinic asking if they offer input for people not ovulating

Now really isn't time for me to be looking for a new job when TTC but I hate my job so much and who even knows if I'll be able to get preg anyway 🤷‍♀️ Fingers crossed for your early ovulation 🤞
