@FlyingGiraffe thank you! I hadn’t realised that. I was a bit worried about generally overdoing the vitamins so I was planning to swap from pregnacare to seven seas as the numbers in that are generally smaller in most things but I need to rethink it. What are you going to do? Will you stop taking the seven seas? My TSH was a bit raised too but they didn’t seem concerned either. Has to be pill related as everyone of us seems to have that!!

@Kay00 hmm the spotting/AF debacle gets me every month. My GP said the first day of bleeding should be marked as CD1 but there’s a lot of conflicting info. Something I read essentially said if it’s around AF then it’s AF but if it’s more mid cycle then it’s spotting. Hopefully this is more implantation related!! I’ve also wondered if I might have endo as I have long periods but they’re not that painful. So maybe just a progesterone problem.

@ChinChilly fair play on joining the gym! I am trying to go on a health kick too but I’m not doing too great 😂

ChinChilly · 15/04/2021 14:25

@FlyingGiraffe mine came back in November as 4.4 then in Feb 4.1 my GP also said she doesn’t see it as a problem and TSH is individual so what is normal for me might not be for someone else! I dunno it seems like an odd topic with quite abit ot conflicting info. I also asked if my TSH had anything to do with my chemicals and she said no so I’m not sure, 2 different GPs have told me the same thing now so I’m just bothering to even ask anymore!

I’ve got my day 21 bloods booked for 4th of May but apart from that there’s nothing going on over here!

Oh and I spent 6 hours in the hairdressers on Monday getting my hair sorted and I’ve joined the gym today, going this evening with OH to try and keep my mind occupied

Tillybabs · 15/04/2021 13:32

@Kay00 mine is 21 May! Good luck at yours and look forward to hearing all about it

Kay00 · 15/04/2021 13:15

@Tillybabs ooh what date? Mine is on 6th May, the day I get back from my mini getaway in Cornwall Smile

Tillybabs · 15/04/2021 12:25

@Kay00 I’m going to look for that thread! I’ve got my first appointment next month

Kay00 · 15/04/2021 11:58

@Juno231 OK, i'll talk with them about it in my appointment. I guess if i'm paying private they might be more willing let me take the extra tests? I'm slowly reading through the 'First Fertility Appointment Tomorrow' thread (i'm on page 11), it has been such a valuable resource so far!

Tillybabs · 15/04/2021 11:50

Anyone else feel nausea just before their AF?? I hate it! I begrudge feeling nausea with no pregnancy eughhh

Juno231 · 15/04/2021 11:17

@Kay00 although endo can only be checked for with a laparoscopy so if you suspect you could have it you'll need to push for it as I think most clinics don't hand them out they way they have with me!

@TheDaydreamBelievers and so the wait begins...

Kay00 · 15/04/2021 10:50

@TheDaydreamBelievers Yey!! Hopefully this is Ov for you.

@Gracie2021 My high temp certainly threw me this morning!

@FlyingGiraffe Hmmm... OK. I think those are wise words. Maybe I'll hold off on the Soy unless I get an obvious full flow. I just had a bit of a poke around up there and my cervix is low, firm and closed and CM is wet to creamy, definitely no blood Confused. If it turns out that I had a mini period then I will just have a cycle without Soy... its not the end of the world!

Interesting about the Biotin! Luckily I had liver tests done recently and all is fine, but I'll go through and check all my vitamins on lunch.

FlyingGiraffe · 15/04/2021 10:38

Morning ladies! 👋😊

@Kay00 Personally I would stop the soy until your temp has dropped or the full flow starts. With my chemical at the end of Jan I logged days of bright red bleeding as well as darker spotting, pale pink and thicker brown discharge (sorry tmi) I thought it was my period because it lasted like 8 days but after the spotting stopped for a couple of days (13/14dpo) I noticed my temperature was still high so I took the test on 16dpo and it had a line. I took agnus castus when I didn't realise, thinking I was at the start of my new cycle so I always err on the side of caution now until I know for sure! It's annoying as it's made me get my hopes up the last couple of cycles when Ive had pre AF spotting! I hope you're out of limbo-land soon lovely!

@ChinChilly @Moocher90 I was going to ask you both about thyroid levels. My blood results came back with a tsh of 4.96 but t4 was normal. The doctor has said she doesn't see it being an issue and will repeat the test in 3 months time. Did you have a similar response? I'm worried it may mean problems conceiving 😖

I also had a weird liver enzyme result which the doctor thinks may be due to one of my vitamins. Having spoken to a pharmacist friend she said that Biotin can raise liver enzymes if taken in excess, and I looked and was taking 100% of the recommended amount in the seven seas, and 100% in the busy bee b complex...i know you've been taking this @kay00 and @Cams50 so just wanted to warn you! I've had one alcoholic drink all year so it cant be that! 😂

@TheDaydreamBelievers congrats on the cross hairs! 🙌

Gracie2021 · 15/04/2021 10:19

Congrats @TheDaydreamBelievers. Now the waiting commences!

@Kay00 the fact that your temps are still fairly high.... would that indicate you’re still in your Lp?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 15/04/2021 10:17

I have cross hairs!

@Kay00 that is really odd! Whacky bodies are whacky Hmm v frustrating

Post Pill Party – The Garden Soiree
Kay00 · 15/04/2021 10:10

@Juno231 yes, endo has crossed my mind before, esp. due to the long heavy period I has last cycle. Plus I remember my periods being v. painful before I went on the pill. Hopefully they will detect any endo when I get further tests at the fertility clinic.

I just went to the loo (certain I had started full flow period) but it was just a little pink tinged CM. Odd. Maybe I just got a mini period this month? Maybe It hasn't started yet?

Juno231 · 15/04/2021 09:57

@Kay00 it can also be a sign of things like endo - which is often linked to other autoimmune disorders if you have any?

Kay00 · 15/04/2021 09:22

@Juno231 I tested yesterday mid morning (2mu) and BFN on FRER, so i'm pretty sure i'm not pregnant. I was more than happy with being CD3 but my bleeding is just sooooo light and my temp hasn't plummeted yet.

Interesting if it is just spotting, I have never thought i produced a lot of progesterone as my temps never get super high and the private test I took at 6DPO was borderline. Perhaps I have LP defect?

Juno231 · 15/04/2021 09:09

@kay00 have you tested? Sounds positive to me but then I'm TTC damaged lol. I'd call it spotting until you get full flow!

Kay00 · 15/04/2021 08:44

@ChinChilly hehe, i know I would certainly struggle with not tracking but then perhaps I wouldn't have issues like this one...

So i'm either 12DPO or CD3, and i'm really not sure. I have had some spotting for the past few days, a tiny bit of clotting and 1 x wipe of fresh red blood, and now its all tailed off to nothing. This is in contrast to my 9 days of heavy bleeding at the end of my last cycle.

I have attached my chart and a spreadsheet (I love a spreadsheet lol). Its important for me to know because I started taking Soy Isoflavones last night (assuming I was CD2) but I really don't want to take it if I haven't started my new cycle yet!! I took a FRER yesterday at 11DPO before I took the Soy (just in case) and it was negative.

Ladies help! Am I just spotting in my LP or am I CD3 of a new cycle?!

Morning ladies!

Just checking in and trying to catch up! Not alot going on here CD7 and I’m already struggling with the whole no tracking 😂 I like to be in control and know what’s going on so I’m finding it hard not to track!

@Juno231 that story is terrible!

@Nellieee congratulations 🎉

@Moocher90 I meant to ask about your blood test results, did the GF/DF help your thyroid levels?

Tillybabs · 14/04/2021 23:13

@JT90 yep it’s all fun and games lol. I was fine the first new months and now get heavy periods and cramping. Plus I’ve developed a spotty chin and I never get spots!

Anyway it’s all for a good cause lol.

Yes there’s still a chance something could happen. Sperm can stay alive for up to 5 days I think it is. But they do say around ovulation time to do it every other day at least.

Are you using an app to track it all? I use Premom which is really good and helps you know when you peaked and your fertile window etc.

JT90 · 14/04/2021 22:24

@Tillybabs Yeah that’s what I thought, am I correct in thinking that although we didn’t DTD on the day of my high reading, we still may have caught it by doing it the night before?

I already feel like I’m starting to get to grips a little with my body post patch. When I first went on contraception I was 17 and so needing to know how my body worked was the last thing on my mind, at that age all I was focused on was not having babies! 🙈 It’s amazing how much I’ve realised my body suppressed everything whilst on contraception. I had absolutely nothing when I was protected apart from light cramps! Now only 8 weeks off it, I get sore boobs, cramps, ovulation cramps, tiredness, the lot!...Being a woman is fun. 🙄

Lovebug06 · 14/04/2021 18:09

@Juno231 that is awful! Poor woman.
@TheDaydreamBelievers doctors receptionists are the worst🤣 although the nurse I've seen to do with the bloods and stuff after the year mark is a misery. And rude..not the best person for people struggling to conceive to see!
@Kay00 it's good that your OH is going to take the vitamins. I mentioned these to my dh the other day weirdly, not actually got any of anything though but i agree, it won't hurt so why not?!
My DH has also only recently seemed to have realised its taking a long time and something might be wrong. It's weird but I think the women take all the stress on and the men kind of go along fine and then it must just hit them that actually... Its not happening and it also could be them.

Kay00 · 14/04/2021 16:35

@TheDaydreamBelievers haha... why are all GP receptionists so mean? Grin haha!

@Juno231 no, haha, I got fed up after 10 months and paid to go private. My body is rubbish and is going to need a little extra help, I might as well just crack on.

My OH has finally accepted that things are going quite so swimmingly, and I think is starting to think that he could be part of the problem so has agreed to start taking the Conceive Plus Male Motility tablets... yey! He might not have a problem, but these pills can't hurt!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 14/04/2021 16:15

That's bloody awful @Juno231 - our GP surgery receptionists are dragons, but once you get past them and into the castle (to continue the metaphor) the GPs are v helpful.

Juno231 · 14/04/2021 15:11

@kay00 I guarantee it's a misinformed GP and she did seem a bit clueless, having never checked her local CCG policy or challenged him on it. I can't imagine twiddling my thumbs about it at the 3 year mark still!

Kay00 · 14/04/2021 14:55

@Juno231 Thats horrible!! Is that the rules in her area or is that a mis-informed GP? She could continue to have 1 x CP a year and never get the help she needs?!
