Hi gang! Long-time! Have been following you all, but posting less as trying to distract myself from TTC.

10dpo and no symptoms and convinced myself I'm out this month as CM going dry, but thought I'd POAS for the hell of it because, well, not really sure actually - Bored at work I think haha!!

Anyway, this is an afternoon wee on a cheapie one-step and I have now given myself a headache for the rest of the afternoon wondering if it's a line or an evap! Hubbie thinks I'm going mad and has banned me from POAS again until I'm actually late. Don't know how I'll hold out until friday!

What do you all think??

@TheDaydreamBelievers you are so right! With my son I was pretty sure I had ewcm literally a day before I got bfp! So ye know it’s shit 🤣🤣

First month off just gone. Waiting for AF now. Can't wait to see what the hell my cycle turns out like after 15 years on the pill.

@Springflower3 honestly Id be very cautious about symptom spotting in general! Coming off the pill is a hormonal storm till it settles so you may get any symptoms at all! Then each cycle everyone goes mad spotting in the 2WW but unfortunately symptoms are the exact same moving towards period as they tend to be in early pregnancy! So its impossible to tell a lot of the time.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I am so sorry you have had a shit time and here is me complaining after a few weeks!!!
Did you have any symptoms during the time you were waiting on period?
I really hope you get an answer for what is going on, have you been able to identify if your ovulating??

I was on the mini pill before and came off, had a period within 6 weeks and then conceived my son on cycle 4..... this time it just feels different and I wasn’t even on the pill for as long! I suppose I shouldn’t judge this time on the last! Xx

@Springflower3 I do BBT and OPKs.

My summary: I was on microgynon for 12 years, had 141 days until period came back, conceived the next cycle (2 cycles and approx 6mo after coming off the pill), but sadly miscarried at 12 weeks. So I'm back TTC. My cycles are very long and irregular unfortunately. I've had some testing for late-ish miscarriage, which was all clear; initial bloods for irregular cycles all clear; now awaiting the fertility clinics.

I am using opk, have been for about 2 weeks and I’m getting smiley faces for 11 days 🙄🙄 I’ve moved to easy@home opk but I just get low 0.18 is my average and that’s if I dehydrate myself!

Are you tracking anything? Which pill were you on? I am tempted to get ovesense but I think it’s a bit much when I’m not even a month off the pill!! Xx

@Springflower3 welcome! The maximum gap from coming off pill to AF in this group was 145 days (!) but most are much much shorter. Are you temping and using OPKs?

My update - back to spotting at ?7DPO. This would make 3 cycles at over 45 days long, with not-certain ovulations, and spotting from ?5DPO. I'm not sure if its possible one of the vitamins I'm taking is making this happen? Currently on Myo-Inositol and Vitamin B complex in an attempt to regulate cycle. Anyone with any info, let me know :)

Just wanted to throw this link at you @Lovebug06 and anyone else feeling a covid vaccine conundrum... it's a bit short notice as it's tonight, but think it might be useful, it's a session with some maternal medicine / reproductive immunology experts, plus a Q&A. They've said last week now that even if you're pregnant you're allowed the vaccine, never mind if you're TTC. Just incase some extra info helps a few folk.

I just feel so empty at this point cause as I tell DP we are in no mans land right now.... off the pill and awaiting af which could be a week away or months away! How do women stay sane in all this?? 🤣🤣 xx

@Springflower3 ah we totally get it! My friend's baby is nearly 6 months old and she started TTC a few months after me lol. I'm getting lapped so bad!

My friend has just went in to labour, she got pregnant within 6 weeks of stopping pill so I’m feeling..... jealous! And I hate myself for it!!!

Hi @Springflower3, I stopped taking Cerazette on 14th March and still nothing, you're in good company as there is a few of us in the same boat.

Hope things start moving along quickly for you.

@Springflower3 welcome - you've come to the right place! Although frustrating, I think it's really positive you're getting oestrogen surges already! Your body is definitely trying to set itself up for ovulation at least :) Fingers crossed it gets the hang of it soon.

Sorry I'm being quiet ladies - I just don't have much to report as we're not TTC this cycle. I'm CD13 so potentially ovulating today if it's the same as the last two cycles.

Got my first ever covid test on Sat ahead of the surgery, and a pre assessment appointment over the phone on Wed. The latter is a bit weird as usually a pre op assessment would involve blood tests and things like weighing me etc. I guess they might leave the physical stuff to do on the day? The lap itself is next Tuesday at 7am. Getting a little bit nervous about it all - even the covid test!

Survived a garden soirée with the outlaws this afternoon. Mentally draining and got chilled to the bone.

Brain can't concentrate on uni assignment which is stressing me out slightly. It's not due till 13th May and I've got a session assessment on Tuesday morning along with being back in the office for a 'team day' tomorrow. Urgh!

@FlyingGiraffe it's very confusing! I've yellow carded twice now as had picked up mutterings regarding vaccine and periods. Saw the GP beginning of March and she was adamant that even though I'm 35 we need to wait the full calendar year - must be local trust guidelines. I reckon I've had a chemical back in November - hindsight is a wonderful thing but because I hadn't notified GP at the time they won't take it into account 🤷‍♀️. Going to contact them on Wednesday and request a catch up appointment. Had a horrendous headache yday which is normal for me just before the witch visits so will see if anything appears, at least it would let me reset for next cycle 😆

LoD tonight so a wee disco nap to make sure I'm able to follow the episode tonight.

@Kay00 @Lovebug06 my acupuncturist thought the same, ie withdrawal symptoms. What annoys me is that I told the GP countless times that I wanted to have children soon and they assured me (multiple times!) that there are no after effects of the pill. Garbage! I would have stopped much earlier otherwise.

Today I got a little bit of EWCM and a fairly dark OPK. But I’ve had all this before so I’m not getting my hopes up. Perhaps I’ll try the BBT charting again to see if anything has happened, although I doubt it.

How many times per day should you POAS to catch a peak? I’ve only been doing once a day so far but perhaps I need to up that when I get a line?

I’ve been taking soy iso for five days and actually got a faint LH line today on CD7. I’m tracking temp and I’ll do more OPKs over the week. I don’t think my actual peak will be for another 5-7days BUT last month I didn’t ovulate till CD35 so I am much happier. At least I don’t need to wait ages at the start of every cycle 😊

@mrsmacmc How confusing. I have heard things about delayed periods after the vaccine so it could be that. Have you tried speaking to the GP? I'm also 35 and went to see them last month. We've been trying since last August and have a chemical in that time. She sent me for bloods straight away and I have already had a letter from the hospital about the referral. I think it depends which doctor you see because I was dismissed by another because of the chemical. It might be worth a go though?

@TheDaydreamBelievers This TTC stuff definitely messes with your head! I hate the TWW! My fingers are crossed that the spotting wasn't anything AF-related for you.

@WhirlingD Welcome! I think at 38, you maybe need to wait and try for 6 months before going to the GP. Obviously then there's the waiting list, but I don't think they'll dismiss you.. so unless you really want to go private to move things along faster, I think you'd be fine to ask for help! In the meantime, make sure you're taking your folic acid or maybe a ttc mutli-vitamin like Seven Seas and Vit D. I hope AF turns up for you soon

I have a hungover DH so no BD for me today! The Clearblue opks are flashing still so at least it's not peak! Hope everyone is enjoying a bit of sunshine today!

Not much going on here! CD15 and still having flashing smileys on CB and last two days ewcm so I hope I ovulate fairly soon. My RHR is through the roof though so it’s very confusing not sure if it’s delayed ovulation slightly as I started my thyroid meds this cycle.

Bit the bullet and ordered an AMH blood test through Superdrug Doctor service, our trust doesn't do it and health insurance doesn't cover it. I'm 5 days late - sadly no sticky beans as PT have all came back stark white.

Beginning to wonder if my COVID vaccine has messed this cycle up as I bled for 14 days instead of my usual 8. OPK tests have been stark white too. If AF hasn't arrived by Wednesday I'll call GP and I'll be chasing hospital for scan as the surgery have now sent request through as urgent.

Impatiently waiting on cycle 13 starting. Annoyingly GP works to 12 calendar months rather than 12 cycles so will need to wait till next month to move forward with NHS referral. Even though I'm an 'old bird' at 35. Having to put off health insurance as need to pay for a filling now which 'due to COVID' needs to be done privately or wait 16 weeks for NHS appointment. Paranoid about waiting 16 weeks as my teeth are garbage.

Even though I'm not convinced I'm in 2WW (because v unconvinced I actually ovulated), I am somehow convincing myself that the small spotting I've had today could be implantation... even though i know it's probably the spotting before short AF I had in my last annovulatory cycle 🙄🙄🙄 This TTC lark does make us nuts.
