@abi555 flipping typical!! Hopefully he won’t keep you waiting to much longer! I would have drove to a local chemist.... I’m too impatient!!

Congratulations @Moocher90 it will be a busy night for you! Not to pretend I’m not jealous 🤣🤣 xx

Moocher90 · 20/04/2021 15:02

I’ve had my peak!! Need to DTD but hubby isn’t home from work until 11pm so it will be a late one tonight!

@Springflower3 Yep, just pop it up before getting into bed, it's very simple to insert and you can't really feel it once in. I hid it from my DH for a while as well before he found it and we had a hilarious conversation. It's shaped like a sperm so he's taken to asking me how my sperm is the days when I'm wearing it haha!

And no to the amazon order! I obviously have a delivery man who fancies a snooze... they advised it would arrive my 1pm and still nothing. I am going slowly insaaaaane!

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 14:10

I’m very excited to get going now!!! I know this sounds stupid but do you just pop it in when your going to sleep?? My DP is gonna think I’ve lost the plot!! I will have to nip to the toilet and hope he doesn’t feel frisky in the middle of the night 🤣🤣🤣
I really hope this works!

Has your Amazon order arrived????

abi555 · 20/04/2021 14:04

@Springflower3 haha, love your willpower - it's just like mine! Wink
I used OPK's in addition to ovusense for the first few months just as I was getting used to my cycle, but have now ditched them as can reliably tell when ovulation is coming and I couldn't be faffed with peeing all over my hands repeatedly haha! It's really nice to know you have ovulated, and once you have used ovusense for a few cycles it will very reliably predict when your ovulation day is.... the past two months has got mine bang on, so you can plan fertile week accordingly. Only works this well if your cycle is regular, but I find all the extra info reassuring!
I started using it before my first AF off pill had arrived and realised pretty quickly that I was actually in my luteal phase and so AF wouldn't be long... which helped to destress me quite a lot!
There is also an ovusense facebook group called 'ovusense users group' which is really useful which I think @MissC07 introduced me too and you can ask to join... lots of helpful tips and advice on charts!

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 13:53

@abi555 I bought the ovesense 🙈🙈 it says it will be here in 2 days so hopefully I can get using it before my surge and track things a little better! I’m guessing I don’t need opk if using it?

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 13:12

Massive hugs to you @firsttimemummy321.... go and grab chocolate and tea and put your feet up my dear! Hopefully they will be able to establish what is causing the early losses for you xx

abi555 · 20/04/2021 13:01

@firsttimemummy321 I'm so sorry, no, I don't think so - hugs and look after yourself xx

firsttimemummy321 · 20/04/2021 12:45

firsttimemummy321 · 20/04/2021 12:44

Top yesterday 15dpo
Bottom today 16 dpo
Definitely not feeling positive 😩

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 12:37

@abi555 if the lines on opk aren’t getting any darker by the weekend I think I will bite the bullet.... I am holding some hope that I will ovulate soon and catch first time 🤣🤣🤣 even though the chances are completely against me!! Xx

abi555 · 20/04/2021 12:21

@firsttimemummy321 fingers crossed for you it is darker on the test today!

@Springflower3 I have ovusense and love it. Takes the stress out of temping as I never wake at the same time. I got it as waited 2.5 months since stopping pill to first period and I wanted to know what was going on with my cycle - gives me piece of mind each month to see the higher LP temps and know I am ovulating. Expensive, but worth it if temping might stress you out each morning..

firsttimemummy321 · 20/04/2021 12:20

@Springflower3 I've had multiple early losses but no ectopic, my gut is that this is just an early loss but with everything else would rather get checked.

I've not see that but I take my temperature every morning and that tracks it quite well for me, the thermometer was only £5 but if you feel it will help or take away stress it would be worth it :)

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 12:17

@firsttimemummy321 keep us updated on the test later!!! My fingers are crossed for you! Have you had an ectopic before? Sorry you have maybe answered that!

I was thinking of getting the ovesense? It’s down to 80 quid atm but I’m gonna try and hold out for my period coming... I feel it going in to too serious when I am just at the start of the journey and my body is up the left xx

firsttimemummy321 · 20/04/2021 12:05

@abi555 thank you 💕
I really hope it is your bfp! Just wanted to share in case it was that :( I'm keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

firsttimemummy321 · 20/04/2021 12:03

@Springflower3 ah ok :)
When I have my first cycle I had very strong opks for over a week and then finally a positive. As it can be so different for everyone best you can do is keep testing and the other thing that could help is taking your temperature as you can surge and not ovulate temperature will confirm ovulation

Thank you it's tomorrow afternoon
I started bleeding at 10dpo then got a positive and at 15dpo yesterday it was still very faint. I'm holding now to test in a bit to see if there is any change today (also been ill - tmi but toilet which apparently is a sign as started at the same time as the bleeding)

abi555 · 20/04/2021 12:02

@Springflower3 could that be EWCM? If so, ovulation sounds imminent...!

@firsttimemummy321 I'm so sorry to hear that and hoping it's not an ectopic and that you're okay - hugs!
You make a v good point re: bad batch. I had heard one step are a bit useless tbh and have let myself get carried away mentally so am trying to regroup. Waiting on an amazon delivery now with a FRER so will know one way or another later on! Will just have to sit on my hands and stop googling until then!

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 11:46

@firsttimemummy321 I really hope all works out for you! When is the scan?? Apart from not being well have you any other symptoms that could point towards any issues?? Xx

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 11:44

@firsttimemummy321 I am waiting for ovulation..... my opk are getting very slowly darker but I’m not sure tbh! I use the premum app and 6 days ago it was 0.08 and this morning it was 0.28 🤷‍♀️ Xx

firsttimemummy321 · 20/04/2021 11:40

@abi555 sorry you've had a bleed this morning, it can be completely normal so try not to worry. I really don't want to be a downer but have you tried another test yet? I had a proper line like this last month pink and very there but frer was negative, then did an experiment and my husband and bathroom tap also got a line. I really hope this isn't the case for you but just wanted to let you know. I can find my batch number if that helps in case they are the same ones? 🤞🏻

@Springflower3 are you waiting for ovulation or post ovulation?

@Moocher90 🤞🏻 for you hopefully it's close! If I were you I'd test again this morning/lunch time

Sorry for everything else I've missed I had to have a break after all my faint lines and weird hormones I hope everyone's ok!!

So guess what I have more faint lines! I haven't been well either though so when I spoke to the dr he was concerned and has me booked for a scan tomorrow to rule out ectopic :( if not it's likely another early loss :(

Springflower3 · 20/04/2021 11:07

@abi555 if it has stopped I think your grand! Our bodies can defo play mind games with us and your hormones will be all over the place too...

I know I am being a total dose here but this morning when wiping (tmi alert) there was a about a 2cm jelly like mucus tinged slightly with brown and a speck of red? Could this be the allusive period or something else?? Xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/04/2021 10:50

@abi555 the fetus and sac continue to attach to the uterine wall up to week 9 so spotting can be totally normal for many weeks!

ChillysT · 20/04/2021 09:31

@Springflower3 That’s good, just keep testing until you see your high reading! But I honestly wouldn’t stress as you’re so early coming off contraception. As others have said, it can take months for some and only weeks for others for things to regulate! I only had a single day of high but as I say, luckily we covered it. I think DTD everyday would stress my partner out, atm we are trying to take a relaxed approach and being so early into all this I don’t want to take the fun out of the bedroom and have him feel like I’m only jumping him to get me pregnant! Still regularly DTD but only every other day or every couple, as we both work long shifts and our morning alarms vary so much and often differ to one another! Just going to make sure we do it that little bit more around ovulation week though! My DP does know about my OPK’s but I explained I needed them to try and work out if my body is doing what it should after 9 years on contraception. Again I think he just doesn’t fully understand and goes with the flow majority of the time. 🤣

Juno231 · 20/04/2021 09:26

@abi555 how much are you bleeding? Implantation spotting continues until week 8 I think so it's def normal to have spotting pretty much throughout the first trimester.

abi555 · 20/04/2021 09:25

It was bright red, but seems to have stopped now. No cramps or other symptoms.
Maybe I am being melodramatic, just really wasn't expecting it this morning. Have let myself get far too carried away.. Reality check; very early days, haven't even done a FRER yet, calm down, what will be will be. Sorry for dramatic post above, just felt so shocked and sad when I wiped this morning and saw it! Feeling more stable now, just have to play the waiting game for a bit longer!
