I’m so confused!! My OPKs are still dark. Not as dark as my peak on CD18 but I’m now CD20 and they am still getting high readings.
Is this usual?? Will they start to drop back down soon during the tww?

@TheDaydreamBelievers Thinking of you for your gynae referal. It's okay to be frustrated. This too shall pass.

I haven't decided about going back on the pill, my DH says no because he wants more than one and we might not have enough time. But I am focused on seeing how this journey goes first! (Hes a little disillusioned I think)

MissM94 · 23/04/2021 13:30

@Lovebug06 completely agree about the pill being a hassle I'll never go on it again, I've exhausted most contraceptions apart from the coil, and I'm one of the statistics of getting a blood clot from the pill so I couldn't recommend to never go on the pill, enough! 😩😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/04/2021 11:54

@Juno231 my doctors have been great to be fair and have referred me to gynaecology for the next steps. Im just frustrated and sad at the moment.

Lovebug06 · 23/04/2021 11:32

@chillysT ah that's interesting. I have wondered what I will use afterwards so that's an option
@Juno231 you sound like me😂 I had terrible acne for a year. That's the only thing that made me think I'd go back on it, to make it go away. Although only for a second. The acne just made me feel so bad. I'm not sure about hair loss, I had it a little but I had horribly sore scalp, it went all bumpy and dry and hurt. Was so weird. My hair also went greasy. It's still not great at all either. Hoping that gets better in time.

13dpo
No cramps yet. Have a slight headache but that could just be a general headache. Boobs are tender but I don't notice unless I touch them if that makes sense. So a quiet week in the lead up x

Moocher90 · 23/04/2021 10:57

I have dotted cross hairs today saying I’m 3 DPO but my temp went down but not to the cover line. I’m hoping 2mo it goes back up and all is good. My OPKs are still dark but defo not as strong as my peak. Not really sure how quickly they go down to barely there I guess everyone is different though. Anyone got any views on my chart and OPKs?

@Lovebug06 no never going back on it! Apart from the whole fertility piece I had a year of post pill acne and greasy hair and lots of hair loss last year as well! I felt so gross for so long.

ChillysT · 22/04/2021 23:02

@Lovebug06 I honestly can’t recommend the patch enough! It’s not a very well known method of contraception and every single person I’ve mentioned it to with friends and family etc always ask ‘what’s that?!’ (I think it’s obviously a bit more expensive than the pill as doctors never bother to mention it!) but I would gladly go back on. Easy, no fuss, I had no symptoms going on or off it and effective!

Tillybabs · 22/04/2021 22:34

I’ve been a bit quiet on here but congrats @abi555🎉🎉

Lovebug06 · 22/04/2021 22:03

@ChinChilly well done you. I'm the same, when I'm bored my mind wanders to all the baby stuff. I found it hard to stop the tracking but after a couple of months I was fine and so less stressed.
@abi555 I am glad to hear that. My periods have been so light since stopping the pill. 2 days max, could probably use one pad for all of it. Maybe a slight bit more the last couple of times. I also had heavier periods before the pill, its why I went on it as they were awful. So good to hear as I thought it may be a problem.
@Juno231 ah I can't even imagine a BFP now!It would be the biggest shock ever (especially to mil I now think!) I just have the dread of how awful I will feel at the weekend. But I guess you never know....im close now. Still no cramps, but just got the feeling down there. Can't think of a word to describe it!

I will never go on the pill again. Way too much hassle afterwards. Will any of you go back on it?

MissM94 · 22/04/2021 21:33

@MrsHInch yeah! Our bodies are massively playing tricks haha! I came off the pill in November after finishing my strip, so had my normal pill bleed then came on straight away the following month and have a period every month but my cycles have been longer than when I was on the pill.. my longest was 36 days and it's only a 2 day period and very light but when I spoke to the doctor she just said it can take a while to get back on our feet so just to have patience and roll with it, so try not to worry too much & just let your body work it's magic haha, what pill did you take? I was on yasmin and had a 7 day break where I would always have a bleed, did you not have a bleed every month on your pill? I've been on every type of contraception so I'm convinced it's going to have some sort of effect on my fertility cos of all the shite I've pumped in my body for the past 8 years 😂 but we're all in this together so it's good that we have eachother to get through the good and bad!

Springflower3 · 22/04/2021 20:07

@MrsHInch you stopped the pill around the same time as me 😬 I was 26th March! Is this your first time coming off the pill? The symptom spotting is a nightmare! Have you been doing any tracking or taking a relaxed approach? X

MrsHInch · 22/04/2021 19:42

@MissM94 it's so weird. I'm convinced that it's just my body playing tricks on me. I'd only been on the pill for 9ish months and had two normal style periods whilst on it (at month 3 and month 6) so because I'd had that I quite expected for the withdrawal bleed to be straight away, but no such luck so far!

ChillysT · 22/04/2021 17:37

@Juno231 Sorry, just seen you had posted on the following page! I mean, I guess a year of light bleeding isn’t the worst thing to begin with. Thank you for the reassurance. Even on the patch, AF was pretty smooth - no bad cramps apart from a couple days before she showed, and even then they were very mild. No other signs bar a drop in appetite for a couple days and increased appetite the other. But in terms of sore boobs and heavy flow she was actually very accommodating! If that’s the right word, haha! It’s definitely turned for the worse now I’m not on anything with nausea, cramps, tiredness and hunger pains! But glad to know it hasn’t seemed to affected many in regards to BFP’s.

ChillysT · 22/04/2021 17:33

@abi555 That’s reassuring! I did assume that with time they may just get heavier as they regulate, but it’s good to know someone else experienced the same as me with only a couple days of very light bleeding, and still managed to have a successful implant. Here’s hoping it happens just as quickly for me! Congratulations again!

MissM94 · 22/04/2021 15:14

@MrsHInch I've been the exact same!! I literally walk 5 minutes to work and I've got thick white pva glue in my knickers😂😂 and I've been peeing atleast every half an hour sometimes more! Literally just got a prescription today cos I think it's a water infection but how weird that were both feeling the same! I wonder what it is?

Juno231 · 22/04/2021 14:27

@ChillysT to add to what @abi555 said - my periods took a year to increase in flow in duration, otherwise it was just barely 2 days of light AF. BUT all my ultrasound scans still showed a nice lining so the two don't seem to be correlated. I've also seen plenty of MN ladies in the past year with super light periods get their BFPs no problem.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm so sorry your body is trolling you so hard. Do you have anything lined up with docs to investigate it or do you think they'll fob it off as a post MC thing?

@MrsHInch I have no clue if you can but I think you have! Just a reminder though that all those symptoms you're listing can equally be pre-AF ones.

@Lovebug06 you're definitely not out silly - cramping is part and parcel of a BFP as well! Fingers crossed for you - apart from anything I'd like to shove this BFP in your MIL's face lol!

abi555 · 22/04/2021 13:56

@ChillysT sorry, forgot to answer your question lovely. All my AF's since stopping the pill have actually been really really light - only about 2 days of bleeding, and only needing a tampon for the first day with a pantyliner basically lasting a whole day for the other. I was actually getting really worried they were so light and was concerned my lining wasn't thick enough to implant... but apparently not!
I'm sure my periods were heavier before I started taking contraception, but light AF's seem to be a common problem once stopping pill. I don't think you should worry about it - it'll likely get heavier with time - and if it doesn't, it doesn't appear to stop BFP either

@MrsHInch I'm sure you can ovulate without withdrawal bleed... sounds like you have. Fingers crossed, symptoms sound promising!

MrsHInch · 22/04/2021 13:28

Hi ladies, sorry I've been MIA, been busy with work and although I've been lurking it's taken most of my morning to catch up!

Congratulations to those who have been lucky to gain their BPFs!

Good luck to those who have missed the boat & are moving on to the next month xx

A bit of advice needed for me at the mo, don't know what's going on.

Stopped the pill 28th March.
Still waiting for my withdrawal bleed.
However, I've been tracking CM & I'm pretty sure that I possibly ovulated around 13th/14th/15th April?

Can you ovulate before without withdrawal bleed?

Making me around 8-10 DPO.

I feel dreadful.
Physically drained.
Runny nose.
Dizzy.
Sore boobs.
CM is like a sticky PVA glue (never noticed it to remain so present in the past when I wasn't on the pill).
Peeing none stop.
Constipation all last week.
Really bad back ache all last week.
Bloating this week.

Don't want to be reading too much into it but this morning I woke up yawning & I'd been in bed since 9pm! Completely not like me at all.

ChinChilly · 22/04/2021 13:23

@Lovebug06 I was so tempted this afternoon so I threw on my gym kit and used my lunch break to go to the gym! I find when I’m working at home doing work for my course is the hardest but my course is so f’ing boring my mind easily wonders!

Ahh it’s so easy to feel down when AF is due but you’re not out until she rears her head!

Lovebug06 · 22/04/2021 12:21

@ChinChilly well done for staying strong! Stopping tracking is hard at first I remember well, but you soon get used to it after a couple of cycles to it and it is less stressful, well I found.

I'm 12dpo. I haven't had any cramps which is weird but about an hour ago I got that kind of feeling down there. I have no idea what the word for it is. Like a rumble🤣 that is so the wrong word😂! kind of like as if your going to cramp but don't. Anyway so then I've been in tears already ridiculously as I guess cramps will begin soon. I don't know why I even get upset anymore as AF will obviously appear but I'm so so tired of feeling so bad every month.

ChinChilly · 22/04/2021 10:49

@Juno231 I’ve missed coming on here but I have to admit sometimes I find it abit triggering in the sense when i see a BFP I’m like gaahhhh why is it not me, I really need to work on that 😂 Oh god that must be frustrating! When is your appointment?

Moocher90 · 22/04/2021 10:49

@ChinChilly nice to see you back!

@Juno231 yes I’m not sure as when I plot in temps for 2mo that are higher it’s only predicting I’m 2DPO so maybe last nights may have caught....who knows

Juno231 · 22/04/2021 10:44

@ChinChilly I've missed you! I'm CD16 and ovulated yesterday but alas there are no swimmers to meet the egg this cycle! Feels super weird.

@Moocher90 The egg only hangs around for about 12 hours so last night's DTD won't have caught it - BUT that's on the basis that temping is spot on. I think it's good you DTD after supposed ovulation just in case it's a day off or so.

ChinChilly · 22/04/2021 10:29

Hiii guys!

Congrats on any BFP’s I’ve missed!

I’m just checking in, I’m still going strong on the no tracking but now I’m upto CD14 I’m struggling, them temptation to nip round to the shop for some OPKs is real 😂 the gym is really keeping my mind off this especially when it comes to trawling google for all things TTC I’m know trawling the internet for bargain gym wear!

Hope you’re all well!!
