I just had my first wobble... I found out that my friend's daughter has just announced her first pregnancy (my friend is an older man, his daughter in her late 20's), i'm obviously delighted for them, but a little bit sad (for me) too.

I told my OH, and with a great big smile he said 'that's great news'. I think he must have picked up on reserved agreement and he offered 'and, how are you feeling'? This is a big first step for him, I was pleased he asked (first time he has done so).

So I replied, 'i'm happy, but sad its taking us so long...' and he shut me down, saying 'well, you don't want to make yourself upset about this, it is what it is' and went back up to his desk!! Cheeky fuck. He made me cry.

Thank god I have you ladies to talk too, Its definitely getting harder the closer I get to the 1 year mark.

Kay00 · 14/05/2021 11:59

@ChinChilly that all sounds really positive xx Its good to hear you are feeling nice and chilled Smile

ChinChilly · 14/05/2021 11:33

@MissM94 yeah I still feel really aware that it could happen again but I'm trying to stay positive.

Kay00 · 14/05/2021 11:16

Tested with 2ndMU at 10DPO, BFN... I certainly jinxed it Grin

MissM94 · 14/05/2021 11:01

@ChinChilly ahh that's promising then that you're past the point you was last time and your lines are getting darker! 🥰

ChinChilly · 14/05/2021 10:59

@Juno231 thank you, February due date is nice, I'm looking at a January due date not sure how I feel about that lol

@Lovebug06 thank you 😊 I didn't really have any symptoms I was convinced i was out and my period was just late. My boobs aren't particularly sore I just either a tingling sensation in my nipples or a stabbing pain

@MissM94 I'm not too sure, I had started bleeding at this point last time, I don't actually feel as anxious as last time and I'm not obsessively testing I only tested Tuesday and today.

MissM94 · 14/05/2021 10:45

@ChinChilly so glad they're getting darker! Are things happening differently than when you had your chemical? Got everything crossed for you 😍

MintGreenLife · 14/05/2021 10:16

@Juno231 just spotted your message. Yep from the data that is coming out it does look like you pass on antibodies to the baby, which of course is brilliant. I’m booked in tomorrow for 3pm and fairly certain I’m going to go ahead, still nervous about it though. How are you getting on?? X

Lovebug06 · 14/05/2021 10:05

@Kay00 fingers crossed for you. Would be lovely.
@ChinChilly it's great they are getting darker. How exciting.
@Juno231 February is a good month. I haven't been letting myself think like this but it is.... Can't let myself get any hopes up but I still can't help myself at times!

I have no symptoms at all. Don't even have sore boobs I've just randomly realised.

Juno231 · 14/05/2021 09:31

@ChinChilly amazing that they're progressing so well! Got all my appendages crossed for you

@kay00 it all sounds promising and it would be sod's law that it happens a few days before a medical procedure - surely that must be it then! Grin

CD10 today, starting my FW with a bang (ha!) at 6am this morning. I'm already fantasising about a February due date...

ChinChilly · 14/05/2021 09:12

@pineapple2021 I haven't got any left which is probably a good thing although I do have a savers just around the corner 🤣 how many weeks are you now?

pineapple2021 · 14/05/2021 09:10

@ChinChilly I think I was still doing tests until about two weeks ago haha.

ChinChilly · 14/05/2021 09:07

@pineapple2021 it's exciting and super nerve wrecking at the same time! I think because i got a positive digital last time i probably won't be satisfied until i get a 3+ on it

pineapple2021 · 14/05/2021 08:20

@ChinChilly this is so exciting!! The digital definitely made it seem real for me!! Eeeeek.

ChinChilly · 14/05/2021 07:23

@Lovebug06 families are hard at times, she doesn't need to told in a horrible way yano just a heads up that your finding some comments hurtful

@Kay00 it does all sound promising!

My tests are getting daker so thats a relief even had abit of a dye stealer this morning! Time to order the digitals i think 😬

Kay00 · 13/05/2021 22:33

Thanks ladies, i'm not getting my hopes up, as this would obviously jinx it.... plus it would actually be problematic if I get pregnant just days before a colonoscopy!

feliznavidad2 · 13/05/2021 22:00

Fingers crossed for you @Kay00.

Lovebug06 · 13/05/2021 21:39

@Kay00 that sounds promising. I have my fingers crossed for you so much.

Lovebug06 · 13/05/2021 21:38

Thanks ladies. Good to hear responses as sometimes it's hard to know if I'm being over the top or not. I feel bad sometimes posting about it as she's generally a nice person, just doesn't think at all.
I flit between letting it go over my head as I know it's not meant badly, that there is just no filter, to it upsetting and annoying me....
I will tell DH he needs to say something if it happens again. Knowing it isn't mean badly and ignoring it isn't always down to me, maybe it can be down to others to think what they are saying too and how it can make someone feel.
I'm actually finding the bit where she is encouraging new SIL to have a baby now and saying all the things to her that was said to me harder than the other comments. I know it's not horribly but it's just like it hasnt happened and thinks it wont so it's now all with her. And she has a dc so they know it'll happen or more likely. Not much I can say about that though. I have discussed with other SIL recently though, she has a dc but has been very understanding and has made a point of trying to include me in things. Her family member had fertility problems and she knew how bad it was for her. So I'm hoping that carries on.
Glad I have you all, you all understand me! ❤️
I'm 7dpo, is anyone at the same point as me?

Kay00 · 13/05/2021 21:37

I wish I was the type to symptom spot - but I really don't like the idea of getting my hopes up! But if I were that type, then the dull cramps I have been getting low down (near my pubic bone) and the short sharp stabbing pains I have been getting all day (in the same area) teamed with the tiniest bit of blood streaked mucous when I wiped just now (sorry... tmi!) would be getting me quite excited. But maybe I am just going to get 5 days of spotting before AF shows again... bah!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 13/05/2021 18:03

@Lovebug06 agree your DH needs to tell her straight that her comments are hurting you both. Then next time she comments "MIL, we told you those comments are hurtful. Not sure why youd keep saying them..?" (Implication - you are being awful)

feliznavidad2 · 13/05/2021 17:36

@Kay00 I agree with the others about testing before laxatives; they're very stringent the ones they usually use for colonoscopy. 😳

I'm hoping that I'm now ovulating, OPK showed peak yesterday. Beginning to feel like a sex pest. 🤭

ChinChilly · 13/05/2021 17:21

@Kay00 I agree test before laxatives

@Lovebug06 I get how your feeling, its really painful watching others get what you want so badly, i also agree with the others here your MILs comments are, she also has no right telling other family members that your 'having problems' maybe your OH can have a word with her and just say her comments are painful if she doesn't mean it with intent then she'll understand and be sorry for her comments

MissC07 · 13/05/2021 16:34

@Kay00 I'd def take a test before starting the laxatives. Or maybe call them to rearrange if they'd be able to give you another appointment fairly soon?

Kay00 · 13/05/2021 16:31

@Lovebug06 Actually, yes, I ditto Juno on this one. It's really none of her business, and funny how she is assuming the issue is all yours! I get that your partner has had children before, but sperm quality changes over time.

@Juno231 yes, maybe you're right. Maybe I'll test on Saturday morning before I take the first batch of strong laxatives Blush
