@ChillysT yeah if you start finding it stressful you can always take a step back, I occasionally disappear for a week or 2 when i find I’m letting it all consume me...Yeah it’s upsetting but its just one of those things, I’m a believer in everything happens for a reason sometimes it’s really difficult to understand what that reason could be but I’m sure one day it will become clear.

@ChinChilly Yeah we are gonna time DTD around ovulation for most chance obviously, but whilst my body is still adjusting I don’t want to add too much pressure on either me or my OH atm so staying quite relaxed about it atm. Or trying to! So sorry to hear about your loss. ☹️ I hope you’re okay.

@ChillysT ohhh ok, makes sense! I was temping and using OPKs, I had an early loss at just over 5 weeks at the beginning of March, tracked ovulation for the rest of march but thought a relaxed approach would help this cycle but I think I prefer tracking 🤣

I didn't pee for a pregnancy test before my procedure in the end, so we went ahead on my assurances that I was very very unlikely to be pregnant 😅 gastroscopy went well but I need to re do my colonoscopy in a couple of week 😪 nothing to worry about, just weren't able to complete today.

@ChinChilly It’s alright, because I’m still waiting for my cycles to regulate I’m still pretty relaxed about the whole thing as I know that part will take time. So atm if it happens whilst that’s all figuring itself out, it’s a bonus. 👍🏼

Have you been temping or anything or just left it all alone?

Next month I’m going back to the OPK’s I’ve found the whole not tracking and not knowing whats going on quite irritating

@ChinChilly According to FF today I’m 15DPO today, I tested yesterday and it was a BFN. Came up stark one line so pretty sure that’s not changing and we only managed to DTD the night before my peak and not until after due to my OH being poorly. So knew it was a very slim chance anyway, will have to wait until AF shows now to start counting again for ovulation. FF expected today but no sign as of yet, hope she isn’t overly late as I’m on CD31 and was hoping to catch it in a ‘regular’ cycle this time round for my second AF.

@Stresshead129 I absolutely agree, I wasn’t told anything about coming off. Just about the effects of going on! Quite bad really. I definitely wouldn’t say you’ve left it late. I’m coming up 32 and a lot of my friends have only recently in the last year had their first, are just now expecting or haven’t started their TTC journey yet so it’s not late at all. 🙂 I think women are definitely starting to have babies later in life or that’s the way it seems from so many people I know! So I wouldn’t worry. Pretty much same as me, cramping and I had ovulation pain all day the day I tested and had my peak. But apart from that it’s just mainly tiredness and constant hunger!!

@Juno231 that sounds awful!! Can't believe the consultant mixed up your results too!! Hope you are able to relax as much as possible at home now

Lap was an ordeal lol! I ended up staying the night as I couldn't wee to pass the discharge test. Drank well over 6 litres of water yday but none of it made its way to my bladder, I just kept cascade vomiting it up 😅.

The consultant told me they found nothing and that they'd managed to damage my cervix a bit. She left and I cried a bit cause I was disappointed they found nothing. Ten minutes later I hear my name in the corridor repeatedly and then she comes back in to say I need to forget everything she said as she had me mixed up with another patient... So no damage to my cervix but I did have mild endometriosis on my left ovary which they removed.

She also said at our next appointment she'll get the ball rolling for the ivf application due to my age - in hindsight I think she was still thinking of the other patient!

Anyway, got discharged this morning and although I'm disabled and in pain I feel so much better than yesterday. That nausea and dizziness was disgusting and I was so exhausted I kept falling asleep at the drop of a hat!

@ChillysT so good to hear from someone who is experiencing the same. I don't feel like the Doctor ever got me ready for what the impact would be on my body.

Both my sisters had their little ones early so I'm definitely feeling like I've left it late, but also a positive that it is happening for women of all ages.

I have the occasional stomach cramp but nothing compared to what I had during my time on the pill. I am however sure I'm getting the mood swings and spots that go along with an AF

Well i was sure I ovulated over the weekend then today I had a big old blob of creamy ewcm so who knows! 🙄

Ladies. I'm sat in hospital, waiting for my procedure... and I need to pee into a pot for a pregnancy test (just in case)... but I can't!!! Arghh!! 😆😆😆 im completely empty. I have been nil by mouth for nearly 4 hours! Why oh why!? I'm 99.99% sure I'm not pregnant, but they want to see it on a stick!

@ChillysT have you tested yet? That makes you 16dpo 👀

@Stresshead129 We are almost in the same boat. Came off the patch in February 2021, had my withdrawal bleed and then my proper AF 6 weeks later after a 42 day wait. I’m now on CD31 and no sign of her yet, FF thinks it’s expected today so holding out for tonight. Hoping it’s not a long wait. Only positive is I need have a positive OPK on CD15, so at least I know I’ve ovulated. But I’m hoping this one won’t be a long wait even though I’ve been cramping for about 5 days now.

You’re younger than I am, so 30 is still a relatively young age to conceive. I know of people a lot older than I am too that have managed to fall pregnant, so keep your hopes high.

Are you having any symptoms or any cramping etc?

Spotting from post ovulation to period, pink, brown and red. Then a few days with nothing before period starts. Really bad pms, fatigue, nausea. I've been to GP and I have had bloods, scan on ovaries and uterus, smear and now due a colposcopy but due to focus my appointment was cancelled and have just been left on a waiting list for months. I'm convinced that this is hormonal but GP won't do bloods on hormones before colposcopy, even when I rang to push for it. They said just wait for colposcopy first. Stopped pill last August so don't think it's that. Trying to conceive for 8 months and I don't think it's a good thing for that either. Long story short, I'm sick of bleeding for 2 weeks of the month and feeling rubbish. Anyone experience anything similar ? Anything that would help get my GP on board ? Thanks !!!

AF has arrived.
Not too shabby though tbh, came off the pill on the 28th March, didn't have a withdrawal bleed.
However, definitely ovulated & Lutual Phase has been bang on 14 days.

Secretly happy that I wasn't successful as DP has two children who's birthdays are either side of Christmas.

Hey All, I'm new here and was wondering if I can jump in?
Me and my partner decided to try for out 1st in December 2020.
I came off my pill (microgynon) on the 1st Jan and had my withdrawal bleed as normal. I then had my first period 40days later. I had read it could take 3 months for everything to get back into sync so was happy with this. However, now nothing. I am now 74 days in to my cycle and no sign. I have done pregnancy tests and all negative, I've had blood tests and they have come back with 'no action needed'.... not sure what's meant by that at all.

I've been having a read through all your messages and its just reassuring that I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I'm 30 but feel like I've left it too late to welcome children into our lives

10dpo today and my temp dropped this morning (chart attached just for how much it was trolling me) and I've been having cramps the last few days, so I'm in one of my miserable moods and no doubt will be reaching for the chocolate later! Hope everyone is doing ok.

@FlyingGiraffe I have tried to push my GP they’re not having any of it, she said my TSH is normal for me and primary care wouldn’t treat it because it’s in the normal bracket. She said they don’t routinely test pregnant women for TSH so it shouldn’t have a massive effect.

@Cams50 I'm still spotting. It keeps stop starting and is still pretty light at the moment but I've had a couple of cycles now where it doesn't turn into AF for a week..I'll be 14dpo next Tuesday so I'm guessing itll start properly between Sunday and Tues. So frustrating 😪

@ChinChilly I've been looking at the NICE guidelines about subclinical hypothyroidism and it says if the patient is trying to conceive with this, they should be referred to an endocrinologist. I'm going to push my doctor to do this after my next bloods in 2 months time if it's a similar result. Might be worth you looking at if you think it could be affecting you.
