Hi everyone,

Il also been a bit awol from the soirée. I’ve been trying to take a step back, reduce supplements etc. I genuinely don’t think it’ll happen for us without some kind of fertility treatment and it’s such a slow process between every appointment so nothing to report.

@Flowers222 huge congrats!! I’m sure your progesterone will keep increasing but no harm asking to double check.

@Juno231 the lap sounds pretty awful but glad your wounds are healing ok. When’s your next appointment?

@Kay00 sounds like your appointment was great. Must feel brilliant to get the ball rolling. I keep thinking about going private so maybe I should. You’re so right about people needing to be open about their journeys. I’ll do the same if it ever happens!

@MissM94 such an annoying comment from your coworker!! How rude. I wonder if the anti kid thing is a defence mechanism. Maybe she or other people who comment like that couldn’t get pregnant. I know how hard it bloody is!!

Kay00 · 07/05/2021 16:08

Ooh... your monster in law! Her reputation precedes her Grin haha!

I think a lot of these negative and hurtful comments come from a place of ignorance, I think part of the problem is that women don't talk about their TTC conceive experiences... instead we hide away on these threads Grin haha!

When/if I finally get pregnant I'm going to tell everyone that it wasn't easy, and that anyone who wants kids in the future needs to think about coming off the pill as early as possible.

MissM94 · 07/05/2021 15:43

@Juno231 that's what my step monster in law is like! She literally cringes when a kid goes to hug her, it's so strange and rude!

MissM94 · 07/05/2021 15:42

@ChinChilly I know! 😂 saying that kids ruin lives is my pet peeve!

ChinChilly · 07/05/2021 14:56

@Flowers222 I’m pretty thick skinned most of the time so I just politely smile and nod my head!

@Juno231 @MissM94 I also get not wanting kids but those people who hate kids and think people shouldn’t have kids because of the environment...seriously 🤨

Juno231 · 07/05/2021 14:12

@MissM94 I get not wanting kids but I find it weird when child free people get so anti children? Like actively dislike them and don't want to be anywhere near them. Imagine saying that about old people?

MissM94 · 07/05/2021 13:57

Maybe I am just being a bit over sensitive about it then cos I've been a moody cow for the past couple of days hahaha she's wearing a tampon.. yeah that woman is a very anti kid person so understandably comes out with lots of shit & has no idea that to be infertile would be the end of someone's world and to just be a bit kinder, literally scares me to death that that could be a possibility so really bothered me her saying that so casually 😅 anti kid people are weird, you can't just hate kids & not be arsed about people that want them just cos you chose not to have them for whatever reason! Strange behaviour

Flowers222 · 07/05/2021 13:33

@ChinChilly @Juno231 thanks both. I have calmed down a little now. I guess just because it was a little low at 8dpo doesn't mean it will stay low! I will have a chat with the doctor just for some reassurance.

@ChinChilly I am really sorry someone has said that to you! So unbelievably insensitive! No one can tell you how to feel and shouldn't try to spin a horrible experience as a good thing! 🙄

ChinChilly · 07/05/2021 13:32

@Juno231 these super fertile women just don’t understand, they also don’t get it when you start loosing your head over it!

@Flowers222 @Juno231 makes a good point, give your GP a call and see if they can run another test? They can check your HCG while they’re at it

Juno231 · 07/05/2021 13:16

@ChinChilly yeah sounds like my super fertile friend who likes to point out that she can't believe her baby is X months old and there I am still trying... (she started trying 3 months after me) - no malice in it at all but such a stupid thing to say

@Flowers222 okay just checking - (8 is fine btw) - tbh I wouldn't worry until it's done properly. I just don't trust the home tests cause you never know how long it took for the sample to get to the lab and how much it deteriorated en route... it might be a good thing to use as a stick when calling the GP to request they do them now on the nhs instead?

ChinChilly · 07/05/2021 13:04

@Juno231 it was actually a really close friend who has repeatedly said those things, I don’t actually think she meant any malice by it, more of just a lack of understanding she’s had several healthy planned and unplanned pregnancies and never experienced and struggles or losses so I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt!

@Flowers222 try not to worry too much I read progesterone can fluctuate throughout the day

Flowers222 · 07/05/2021 12:47

@Juno231 I actually did it 8dpo because of the bank holiday

Juno231 · 07/05/2021 12:36

@Flowers222 did you do it on cd21 or at 7dpo?

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm glad you're getting some therapy in, it can be so helpful ❤️

What idiots are telling you at least you can get pregnant and at least it was early 🤣. Oh hey at least your child died at age 2 and not 4 - that would've been twice as bad - SAID NO ONE EVER. I'd have some choice words for whatever witch has been speaking to you 😅

Flowers222 · 07/05/2021 12:21

@MissM94 agree with others on the hot tub front. Would depend on what she is using. But your colleague sounds rather insensitive and just wrong!

I am looking for some advise! I did a home 21 day progesterone test this cycle to check I was ovulating and just got the result today of 24.3nmol/L, they said it was inconclusive as to whether I ovulated as it is below 30. I obviously did ovulate but now I am panicking that is too low to support a pregnancy?! Anyone a progesterone expert 😅

ChinChilly · 07/05/2021 12:16

@TheDaydreamBelievers especially as people say you’re more fertile after a miscarriage...well not over here!! Someone has said ‘atleast you know you can get pregnant’ a few times 🙄 then the whole ‘atleast it happened early’ then I feel like I shouldn’t be upset about it 🤨 I’m abit more emotionally stable today though! Sounds great about being on the waiting list for therapy..sometimes a good cry and blurting it out does help.

@MissM94 I’m abit wierd as I wouldn’t wanna share a hot tub at all, all other peoples skin cells and sweat bubbling about 🤮 I just don’t like stuff like anyway, social distancing has been great for me because I’ve had a valid reason to tell people to get away from me 😂😂😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 07/05/2021 11:52

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you, you lovely woman

Juno231 · 07/05/2021 11:04

@MissM94 hm depends on what sanitary products she uses I guess? If she was just letting it flow that would be weird but I wouldn't bat an eye if she was using a cup or tampon. I'm sorry you're feeling down - the good thing about OH not going though is that it keeps his swimmers safe from the hot tub Grin

Also your colleague is a moron, that's not how the pill works! Tbh all of us on here with TTC problems post pill it's due to the pill masking problems we had, not actually causing it I don't think.

MissM94 · 07/05/2021 10:32

*if you can't already tell, so yeah"

Clearly my mood is affecting my spelling 😂😂

MissM94 · 07/05/2021 10:30

Anyone else all aboard the moody train today? I'm in an absolute stinker of a mood 😂😂😂
AF still hasn't turned up but I've been having little niggles so she must be stuck in traffic 🙄
Supposed to be going to my friends tonight for a drink but the thought of it is making me want to cry, it was supposed to be a couples thing and there's a hot tub, my boyfriends hurt his foot and can't walk but told me to still go, but earlier on in the week my friend said she's due on on Tuesday so hopes she was off by Friday but if not she's still going to get in the hot tub cos she's only light and it's fine to do, I said it's fine to do but I wouldn't do it and expect my friend and her bf to sit in a hot tub when she's on her period.. am I just being a dick head or would anyone else have an issue? I'm not a prude or weirded out by periods in the slightest it's just a bit weird to me sharing water with them 😂
Then earlier today me and my colleague were talking about the pill blood clots etc and she was saying it's you have to watch when to have sex then said "and, you don't know if you'll be able to have kids" I said please don't say that, she said no I don't mean to upset you but it can happen after being on something for so many years. She is 50+ and childless through choice if you can't always tell do yeah..
Happy fucking Friday 😂😂😂

ChinChilly · 06/05/2021 22:43

@Kay00 @Flowers222 thanks both, some days are just harder than others, I’m sure AF will turn up over the next few days and that will explain the extreme emotions. @Flowers222 I can’t imagine it was the pregnacare but tbh with this TTC malarkey you never bloody know!

Flowers222 · 06/05/2021 22:27

@ChinChilly I am so sorry you have had an emotional afternoon! I hope you feel a bit better after a good cry though. Sometimes it's good to get it out of the system! You are definitely not losing the plot! It's just hard.

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you! Great news the soy iso is helping! 🤞 for you.

I had actually been off the pill for 14 months, and actively trying for 11. My cycles have been all over the place so I had 8 cycles in that time and various tests at the doctors never showed why. No idea why it worked this time, I didn't really do anything different except stop taking pregnacare, but can't imagine that was the issue!

Kay00 · 06/05/2021 22:01

@chinchilly if you can't moan here, then where can you moan!? Sending you lots of virtual hugs xxx

@thehotelcalifornia we can be cycle buddies, im 2 DPO and I agree that there is nothing we can do about it now... its up to our egg so just relax xx fingers crossed 🤞

ChinChilly · 06/05/2021 20:48

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you for your kind words, I am having a right mare this evening! Its just frustrating, people keep telling me ‘atleast you know you can get pregnant’ but I’m so far into my pity party tonight I’m thinking what if that was a fluke?!?! I really do need to come on here and moan sometimes as nobody else seems to understand... I’m sure it is just one of those days and I’ll be ok tomorrow 🙁

Kay00 · 06/05/2021 20:43

I'm 11 months off the pill too ... add this to my hope fortress
