6DPO 1st TWW nervous and obsessing!

Hi All, this is the first time I have gone through the TWW, it fascinates me that we spend years trying not to get pg and now I am a bag of nerves! I am a very driven person, everything I set my mind to I aim to achieve and this feels like its based on luck! I think I have done everything right... ovulation testing, LH surge, timed sex etc and now I am 6DPO. I don't feel any different and I seem to spend so much time googling TWW symptoms and obsessing over it. Two of my best friends are pg and it happened on their first try, my over achieving nature is kicking in and causing me to obsess! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

@JoannaJellyBean I’ve not done any temping or opks so far, but I have got the premom app and used it to log symptoms as I ordered the easy@home opks to use for after my period whenever it arrives! I hope it’s your month. I don’t think it is for me but hopefully once I start using the opks I’ll be able to time things better. Keep us updated

JoannaJellyBean · 29/03/2021 18:22

@AliBear90 wow it does sound like we are similar positions! I use the premom app with ovulation strips and it has massively helped, I defo ovulated but whether it took or not only this horrific tww will tell me! They do say it can take 3-6 months for your body to readjust after the implant, temp testing can also help pinpoint ovulation for some woman, are you temping daily?

Hi @JoannaJellyBean sounds like we’re in a similar position. Had my implant removed mid January as well. I had a small bleed straight away and a second bleed 28 days late which I assume was af. This month I’m on cd32 and test was bfn this morning. I didn’t do opks or anything though and think I actually ovulated around cd26, putting me about 6dpo I think. I think I ovulated around them from cervical mucus and cramps but can’t be certain. So if af doesn’t show I’m going to keep testing every 3-4 days. But wish either my period or a positive test would hurry up. I’m only on month one and this is taking forever!

I feel normal, a few twinges but that could just be normal pms, I don't feel pg so I think it will be negative too... yes been taking supplements since Jan to ensure I built them up haha let me know when you do test, fingers crossed you are surprised!Smile

@JoannaJellyBean yes same, I got the Femometer strips from Amazon and then scan them with the app, so handy☺️ I've had a few symptoms but I'm fully expecting it to be nothing 🥲 I had some cramping (pulling sensation) on Thursday and Friday, I've been tired and had headaches so who knows... how are you feeling? Are you taking any supplements?

JoannaJellyBean · 29/03/2021 11:56

BrodieKD fingers crossed for Friday 🤞🏻 I am not going to test until next Monday, feels like a lifetime away! Which is one day before af is due, which apparently is 93% accurate Hmm. Although I don't feel pg... apparently most people experience symptoms 9dpo, but of course everyone is different and that drives me mad!

xoJellyBean it is terrifying isn't it! I got some ovulation strips off Amazon, worked so well. Is this your first time ttc? Never not wanted to have af knocking as much in my life! Have you had any tww symptoms?

@JoannaJellyBean I'm not sure if I will! 🙈 so scared hahaha. I rely quite heavily on my temps as it is the only way for me to confirm ovulation, you should try again. It's sooo interesting 🤩 my temp dipped this morning which makes me think dreaded af is on her way!

JoannaJellyBean · 29/03/2021 11:39

@BrodieKD great to meet someone who thinks the same way as me Smile! I didn't have my implant taken out until Mid-Jan and then Feb was a write off with no ovulation while my body adjusted, then ovulation defo happened in March I could actually feel it! I have tried temping, taking it as soon as I wake up and don't sit up, but the readings were all over the place so it didn't seem to tell me anything, I have stopped. What have both of your experiences been with temping? @xoJellyBean are you going to be taking the bfp test soon? Really appreciate the response ladies, it is so nice knowing I am not alone! I haven't told any of my friends and family encase I jinx it, so it feels a bit lonely. Driving my partner mad haha Grin

@JoannaJellyBean heyyy :) we have similar usernames 🤣 I'm roughly 12dpo but could also be 10dpo depending on when I ovulated :) the TWW honestly drives us crazy but here's hoping for your BFP ☺️🤞🏻 are you temping?

BrodieKD · 29/03/2021 11:24

Hello - you sound exactly like me! As soon as I focus on something I get obsessed on it. My first 2 cycles I was convinced it would happen but it hasn't. I feel a lot more relaxed this cycle as we didn't dtd the day of ovulation but up until then I feel we did everything we could. Just got to let nature take its course. Last month I had heavy boobs, felt cramping etc and my period came a few days earlier than expected. My first cycle was 33 days long, my second was 27 days long. I'm currently on cd 23 and 5dpo so hoping for a longer cycle this month. I'm planning on testing on Friday (if I can hold out that long). Have you been monitoring your temp?
