Hi everyone! We are currently trying for baby #3 This is cycle 2 and CD5. Period last week was shorter and lighter than normal, really confused me as its never been like that, did 2 tests but both BFN so trying again this month :) Not putting too much pressure on it, just going with the flow and if it happens it happens, trying not to stress too much about it 🙈 anyone else TTC this month? Hoping I can chat in here with people doing the same ❤

@Tryingandhopeful same here with DP not being very sympathetic to the 2WW stress! Totally different experience for us girls. Sending you luck too!

Garden lunch with family sounds like a lovely distraction. Are you doing a BBQ? I've got similar tomorrow, keeping food simple. Just salads and some cold meats and cheese. I'm not much of a domestic goddess! Grin

Tryingandhopeful · 16/04/2021 13:05

@Milly238 it is so nice to be able to open up and share this experience with you all!! I literally have no one to talk to about this! DH is not interested at all and just keeps telling me it will happen when it happens... TTC is an isolating journey so I’m pleased this little forum is going!!

Anyone got any nice weekend plans to help with distraction? Weather is looking ok where I am tomorrow so may visit some family in the garden to try and take my mind off testing!!

Tryingandhopeful · 16/04/2021 13:00

@Onehotmess awww I have read that implantation can occur between 7-12dpo so you may not have implanted yet or still too soon to pick up hcg levels!! Like they say you’re not out until AF shows up!! It is so disappointing seeing that BFN though 🙁 when is AF due?

Timeandtidal · 16/04/2021 12:43

@Onehotmess I'm sorry to see this and know how crushing the blank test feels. Sending you love and also hope it is too early, or if not then sending you positive thoughts it happens for you next cycle. Everyone says just stay positive and hopeful, which I get, but we also need to accept that some parts of the TTC journey are really bloody hard. I'm sorry if this isn't your month and we are here and understand. Flowers

@Milly238 Yes me too, also not told one in real life cause I don't want to have the question every month. So glad we can share here freely. I'm alos only three months in to trying properly, and I am already so impatient!

Milly238 · 16/04/2021 12:24

Sending you virtual hugs @Onehotmess Flowers it’s never nice to see that horrible stark white. Still hoping it’s a bit too early for you and that it hasn’t spoiled your day too much!

Milly238 · 16/04/2021 12:21

@Timeandtidal thank you for your kind words! ❤️ We’ve been actively trying for 3 cycles so far but it’s 5 if you count ‘not properly trying not preventing’ haha. I feel guilty moaning knowing it’s been nowhere near as long as others but it feels so much longer due to my cycle length and I’m getting impatient now. But I’m feeling so much better sharing with you girls especially as I haven’t told anyone I know we are TTC so it gets lonely. And I’ve been there with taking FRER tests apart!! The things 2ww will do to us 😂 such a lovely idea distracting yourself with a spring clean and the lovely weather! I hope you can start to feel more relaxed and less stressed about work Flowers

Onehotmess · 16/04/2021 12:16

Stark white negative at 10/11 dpo. I’m thinking something should be showing even faintly on a FRER by now?! When to admit defeat!?

April 2021 TTC - let's chat :)
Timeandtidal · 16/04/2021 12:05

@Milly238 Having such long cycles must be really frustrating! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that AF doesn't come. Don't beat yourself up about testing early. It is so hard not to. We have such little control in this process, I think it is understandable response. I am the same and know it isn't good for me emotionally. Last month, I was even taking FRER tests apart - like that was gonna make any difference! Plus the evap lines on top! Do you mind if I ask how many months you have been trying this time?

Omg thanks for the cheap test tips ladies. I'm at least going to save ££s this month.

I did order a box of OPKs but have resisted using so far as I am already pretty obsessed. If I don't gave any luck this month, I might start...

I hope you ladies are enjoying some sunshine today and are taking care of yourselves. I am trying to avoid stress as much as I can hoping this will help. I'm normally a workaholic stresshead (basically a bit insecure in my job tbh) but this TTC process has really made me reevaluate what is important in life. Trying to take it easy. Doing a spring clean today as a way of distraction. This is really unlike me haha.

Keep us posted on how you are doing. So nice to be able talk about how we are feeling and support each other.

Hxoxox · 16/04/2021 11:27

Thanks ladies! Aw I'm a natural worrier with really bad anxiety.

I keep going to the loo and checking. I am getting funny cramps in my lower belly today too, wee shooting pain on my left side and I know my body will be changing dramatically but there's a bad history of pregnancies in my maternal side of the family. I have absolutely no symptoms apart from sometimes boobs feel lumpy and sore.

I just have to be thankfully that I pretty much fell pregnant first time trying.

Breatheeeee 1 2 3 ...... lol

Milly238 · 16/04/2021 11:15

@Tryingandhopeful welcome! Smile The 2ww is unbearable isn’t it?! I always go into it promising myself I won’t symptom spot or test early and am never able to stick to that!

@Timeandtidal I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️ Really hoping you get your BFP very soon! As for cheapies, I get mine off Amazon. I’m unsure what brand mine are (there are so many different ones) but I just typed in one step pregnancy tests and bought a 20 pack for about 8 quid. Pound shop ones are just as good too!

@Hxoxox bless you!! I agree with the others about giving yourself as many distractions as you can while still allowing yourself time each day to focus on your pregnancy. Such exciting times ahead! ❤️

This morning I tested using a cheapie and also ended up wasting a FRER because I was sure I saw something on the cheapie which was probably me imagining things. Really silly of me! I’m only 9dpo but feel this isn’t my month as I have 0 symptoms. I can’t help but feel really disappointed as we’ve been trying for a few cycles now and cycles are always between 34-39 days too so always have to wait ages until the next fertile window. I’m gonna try and wait now until the day of AF before I test again! 🤞

Timeandtidal · 16/04/2021 08:51

@Mumofboys20122017 Thanks! I love a poundshop bargain. Grin Sending you hugepiles of baby dust too.

@Hxoxox it is so hard not to worry but I think distractions are good. Sometimes I try to allocate a certain amount of time a day to think about stuff that is difficult or scary. Then outside this time, if my brain goes there I try go say no I will let myself think about this later a given time. Not always successful but it does help.

Mumofboys20122017 · 16/04/2021 08:32

@Tryingandhopeful aw I know! I spent my last cycle symptom spotting and had also convinced myself I was pregnant! Then my period came a lot lighter than usual so I still convinced myself I must be pregnant! Lol fingers crossed for you this cycle!! ❤

@Timeandtidal hey 👋 of course! So sorry to hear about your loss 😪 sending lots and lots of baby dust your way! I hope this is your lucky cycle ❤ as for cheapies, I literally bought a load of 2 packs from the £1 shop 😂 but they do the job for testing throughout then use a decent one at the time af would be due!

@Hxoxox aww! Must feel like it's going so slow! I don't don't know how to relax, easier said than done saying try to keep busy and not think too much about it when its all you can think about! Lol hope the time flies until you see wee baby on the screen ❤

Hxoxox · 16/04/2021 08:21

I thought the TWW was hard, now I have my BFP the weeks until my first scan are torture! Ahhhh lol!!

How do we relax and calm ourselves? Don't even have a midwife appointment by telephone until 2.5 weeks away!

Good luck everyone taking a test today!! Lots of baby dust xx

Timeandtidal · 15/04/2021 22:27

spent Smile

Timeandtidal · 15/04/2021 22:26

Hi everyone, please may I join too! I'm only on CD11 but really hoping this will be my month! Have DTD last two days and hope to everyday till ovulation, if DP can manage it! I conceived in Feb but lost it at 4 weeks and 5 days. I don't know if this means is was a chemical? Tried again in March but fairly sure I missed fertile window because my cycle was unpredictable after the early miscarriage. I just turned 40 and this would be baby #1... fingers crossed for you all.
Does anyone have any recommendations for cheapie pregnancy tests. Last month I spend way too much money on my POAS habit!

Tryingandhopeful · 15/04/2021 22:12

@Rudyroo and @Mumofboys20122017 Thank you!! I am trying to rein in the crazy lady 😂 the last 2 cycles I was symptom spotting like anything and convinced myself I was preggers both times and it was so deflating seeing that BFN! I’ve just got the standard bloating atm and had some small cramps yesterday but I’m putting it down to normal pre-period symptoms now 🙈 Going to stay strong and hold off until Monday I think so 10/11dpo! I spent way too much money on poas before 🙄

Mumofboys20122017 · 15/04/2021 21:49

@Puppymamababymama thank you! I hope so too 🙊 hope the bleeding stops soon and this is your lucky cycle ❤

@Tryingandhopeful hey 👋 of course :) aw I know how you feel! The longest 2 weeks in the world! Good luck for this cycle!! Let us know if you get any symptoms or how the testing goes next week ❤

Rudyroo · 15/04/2021 21:29

Hi @Tryingandhopeful welcome Smile I'm currently 4DPO so not far behind you! Crazy lady will come out next week 😂

Tryingandhopeful · 15/04/2021 20:29

Hi everyone

I hope it’s ok to jump on this thread!! Currently 6/7dpo and finding the TWW excruciating!! This is cycle 3 for us now! We have a DS and we were lucky to catch the egg first time round! Really hoping for a Christmas bubs!! Trying my best to distract myself and keep busy, and holding out until at least start of next week to test!!

Puppymamababymama · 15/04/2021 18:15

Dpo* not door, autocorrect 🙄

Puppymamababymama · 15/04/2021 18:13

@Mumofboys20122017 definitely see a line and I know what you mean hoping the line is darker for you this weekend

@Onehotmess I agree with the other girls hopefully it's just to early. Last time I didn't get a line until 14 door and it was very faint

@tuxedocat I think you have more strength than all of us holding out so long to test lol

I'm still bleeding I think it's 8 days today and period usually is 5-6 hoping it clears up by tomorrow cause that's when fertile window starts 🤞

Mumofboys20122017 · 15/04/2021 15:46

Positive vibes that this is the lucky thread for all! And we all get our wee babies 😊❤

Onehotmess · 15/04/2021 14:32

Thanks @Mumofboys20122017 and @Milly238 I’ve only just gone and ordered 2 more FRER 🙈 I’ll keep my fingers crossed that this is the lucky thread xxx

Mumofboys20122017 · 15/04/2021 13:53

Hey! Thanks everyone for confirming that I'm not going crazy with seeing a line 😂 so hard trying to not get excited but I don't wanna get my hopes up just to be disappointed at the weekend but is it hard 🙈 I said I'd wait until the weekend now cause I'm afraid to take one tomorrow and see no line, but I'll see how I feel come the morning! Haha

@Onehotmess it may still be too early like the other girls have said! I'm 11dpo today, and can see something faintly I hope! I tested like you at 9dpo and there was literally nothing there so could just be too early, fingers crossed for you!! I also had cramping over them days too! Definitely doesn't sound silly at all wanting a Christmas baby because there are other ladies who struggle, you are allowed to feel how you want, and be sad and upset just as much as anyone ❤

@tuxedocat how exciting! Can't wait to hear how you get on 😊
