Cerazette stories please.

After being on cerazette for 7 years, my OH and I have decided to TTC baby #3.

While on cerazette my AF stopped completely, at the time I thought this was wonderful, but now we are TTC, I have no idea what my cycle is or when it will ever come back. 😭

I have 'only' been off Cerazette for 5 weeks, which I know in the grand scheme of things is a very short amount of time. I know I just need to be patient and let my body find its groove again. But every day feels like a lifetime, waiting for AF.

I haven't had any sign of a withdrawal bleed or anything. I was expecting to atleast of had that by now?!
Lots of bloating, sore boobs and cramps, but nothing else.

I should also say, I am 37. So I have that little (irrational) nagging voice in my head telling me my body clock is ticking. Hence the lack of patience and added anxiety. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please share your stories of coming off of cerazette. Did you have a withdrawal bleed? How long did it take for AF to arrive? How long after stopping cerazette did it take for you to conceive?

Hi all

I’ve just stumbled across this. Had been on cerelle since 2015. Came off it once and got withdrawal bleed writhing two weeks. Been off since April 8th and no bleed. Did some OPK tests in April and got 8 days of flashy faces and than static on April 22nd.
Still no bleeding and BFN on test. Very frustrating as I’m sure I should have been due a few days ago. But very hard to tell since I’ve not had periods for so many years! Don’t know if I would have actually ovulated even though I got a static smiley face?

No joy on anything with the OPK sticks yet but am still weeing on them. And lots of EWCM. 🤔 CD13 here, so still time!

I think they say every other day is best, maybe that break helps 😅

I'm CD7, AF finished on Thursday. We're not testing for ovulation yet just doing to DTD as much as possible and see what happens

Well the Clearblue app is saying 21 May but that can only be a guess since I don’t know how long my cycle actually is.
I’ve now read that it will keep showing High Fertility until it detects the peak so I’m thinking I might stop testing now as I think it’s missed it - don’t want to waste the sticks!

How do people have the energy to have sex every day when it’s showing high fertility?! I fell in to some kind of coma not long after getting home from school yesterday! Keen to avoid it becoming an obsession and all about making a baby too! I think this has real potential to mess with my head!

When is your period due @Fallulah ? I think mine is due around 26th May, but conscious that my cycle could still be all over the place as only first proper cycle since stopping the pill.

Day seven of high fertility here! I’ve read that it sometimes doesn’t pick up the peak. I actually think I ovulated on Tuesday/Wednesday. Anyway I don’t think we have had enough sex to have an impact this month! Will just be interesting to see what my cycle turns out to be.

I can now say it definitely is a period as its gotten heavier. Still not actually much on the pad but LOTS when I pee 😂 I never ever thought I'd be so excited to see my period! Cannot wait for it to finish so I can properly get back to TTC! Really hoping to get pregnant first cycle so I don't have to go through another period though! 😅 don't know how we're supposed to do this every month haha![/quote]
Just seeing what happens really - there has been some action but not enough for my liking!

I'm cd 7 now, period stopped the day before yesterday. Frantically weeing on OPK sticks (despite it not likely being ovulation time whatsoever...!) 🙄

I stopped taking the pill on 14th March.

@Fallulah you've probably already said, but are you actively TTC? Or just testing to get an idea of your cycle? If you are TTC hope you're getting lots of DTD in during the flashing smileys! 😂

That’s mostly what mine was like @Kat668; I was pleased at least something was happening!

Well I’ve had the flashing smiley face for four days now! I read online that afternoon testing was best so I’d been doing that, but then read the instructions for my actual kit and it said test first thing. So I was sure this morning would be different but no, still Mr flashing face! Apparently you’re meant to get a solid smiley face for peak fertility if you actually ovulate. So I still don’t really know what’s going on. Doing that test and the school Covid test was a bit much this morning! I have testing fatigue already! 😂

So day 49 and think AF might be starting! Or withdrawal bleed I dunno ha ha. Not enough to go on the on the pad yet but it's when I wipe (sorry if tmi lol) each time I go to the loo it's getting slightly more so seems positive! Just excited to get back to TTC again

I've bought some cheapy OPK sticks, in full throws of this period or withdrawal bleed - whatever it is, so will start testing once the bleeding stops. Strangely excited. ☺️

Well something is going on... two days ago I got ‘low fertility’ from the tests, yesterday the test didn’t seem to communicate with the holder... but today I have the flashing smiley face and ‘increased fertility’ so I’m either all messed up or the genius surgeon was telling the truth and I’m about to ovulate!

I am also thinking of getting some ovulation sticks @Fallulah but don't know if I'll end up weeing on them all and wasting them as it'll be my first month since whatever this withdrawal bleed/period is so don't really know when to start 🤔 it would be reassuring to know if I was ovulating though!

Day 3 of this bleed now. It doesn't feel like a bleed on the pill (far less clots, sorry for the TMI).

It does become all you think about, I totally know what you mean.

I didn't have a period before I conceived. In an ideal world it would have been nice to of had a regular cycle to have gone off of for dates ect. Honestly I didn't even know for sure if I was ovulating.

Not knowing what's going on in there is the worst, I have all my fingers (and toes) crossed for you ladies.

@Fallulah Good idea!! It will give you some peace of mind to atleast have some idea of what's going on in there.
I think the uncertainty is what I found the most difficult.

I've been taking a break from here as I was get super obsessive about everything period watching/ttc ha ha
I'm day 46 off the pill and still haven't had anything, no spotting, no withdrawal, no period. Its so frustrating as we just want to be at least trying but there's no point until the period has come. (I say this because I believe I ovulates two weeks after coming off the pill and didn't get pregnant that time so unless you can ovulate twice without a period we're out till it happens!)

I’ve bought one of those keys where you pee on a stick every day and it tells you if/when you are ovulating. I just want to know if it’s all working in there or not!

Your light bleeding sounds very much like what I put down as my withdrawal bleed.
