Thanks @Noodella18. I had read stuff along these lines and decided to take it with breakfast in case it kept me up. So far I think it’s playing havoc with my stomach but I hope it might calm down. I heard it can take a couple of weeks though and I’m seeing her again in mid April, I will report back.

climbershell · 24/03/2021 14:43

Sorry I will catch up on comments later, but I've nipped home for lunch and did another opk. So today is peak I think, yesterday high

Tho when I wiped had spotting with mucus. Maybe this is pre ovulation spotting?

I'm of the understanding you ov 24-36 hours after peak. Egg can be fertilized for 12-24 hours after released

So.... Realistically I should ov between tomorrow AM & bedtime & therefore be fertile up until Thurs night/Fri morning..

We've dtd the last 3 nights, said yesterday we'd try tonight. But now I'm wondering if should not and go tomorrow instead (doubt he'll be able to do both)

Sorry I am a very analytical person!!

Noodella18 · 24/03/2021 14:35

@pamparam. Fingers crossed! Are you planning on testing any time soon?

@thislittlebird hope you get on ok with the meds. Just to give you a heads up, some people can find their anxiety gets a little worse for a short time as the drugs are kicking in, go with it though. I personally didn't have this happen (although I was a total wreck generally so not sure I would have noticed a difference...!) Also, i was told to take them at night but found that I would wake up when it reached max concentration around 4am, which was not great for my anxiety! I switched to morning dosing and it solved it. Some people find they make them more sleepy so depends on how you react.

Noodella18 · 24/03/2021 14:29

@climbershell, i reckon the second one is darker... And an extra shag can't hurt (by which I mean, can't hurt your chances, rather than can't hurt your partner, as I'd imagine he's spent) Grin

Noodella18 · 24/03/2021 14:25

@M4v3r1ck thanks for setting this up! Can't believe there are already 2 pages! :)

I'm 6 dpo so about the same as you. I think I'm going to test on Sunday and have ordered FRER in anticipation!

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 14:06

Oh and I’ll be 38 in May Hmm

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 14:06

I’ve always been very unsure about medication @notyetamumbuttrying but at this point I’m willing to try. I felt myself get really anxious and shaky after realising it’s cycle day 15 and I’m going to ovulate late again, if at all. The dermatologist I saw said she’s seen people ttc and the skin and stress are just a vicious circle so I said I’d give it a go. Took the first one now, hoping it’ll help my anxiety over the next few weeks as it kicks in.

@Feanorous trying for #1 since October 2019, with a few months off for health reasons in between (including this one). Waiting for nhs fertility appointment now, it’s in May.

TTCat39 · 24/03/2021 13:59

@Feanorous
5 months. I'm 39 and OH is 51, so we're understandably very anxious and impatient!

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/03/2021 13:27

@thislittlebird thanks for the welcome on the old chain 🤪 I'm officially now an oldie aren't I 🤦🏾‍♀️
Interesting on the anti anxiety drug, have you been on them before? I wonder if I should seek something like that as my anxiety has got so much worse recently!

@Kitekat81 just responding to the old chain. How comes you're waiting a few months before starting ivf then? Are you hoping natural will work or is it a finance thing?

@Pamparam fingers crossed for implantation! 🤞🏾

Feanorous · 24/03/2021 13:27

How long have you all been TTC? x

Feanorous · 24/03/2021 13:26

Thanks for all the welcomes :)

@Pamparam I don't know how you are holding off testing!!! xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/03/2021 13:17

Just place marking then will catch up. 😊

TTCat39 · 24/03/2021 12:36

Thanks @thislittlebird I'll keep you posted!

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 12:12

My GP has been poor, to say the least. Hope yours is better @TTCat39!

TTCat39 · 24/03/2021 12:11

@thislittlebird Ah ok, thank you. The multi vits have somewhere between 1.4 and 10mg so that would be a boost. I'm due to speak to my GP tomorrow as I have been having some cramping throughout my cycle, and I want to get the ball rolling in prep for testing / referral now we have been trying for several months. So I'll add this to my list of queries. I have read with interest others' experience with their GPs, the good and the bad!

Pamparam · 24/03/2021 11:54

Thanks for the new thread @M4v3r1ck!

Welcome @Feanorous!

I’m 10DPO today and I had some spotting yesterday - just a small amount, put on a liner and almost nothing after that and nothing yet today. I’m CD29 and this would usually have just been chalked up to regular pre-AF spotting but I ovulated really late on CD19 this month so I wasn’t expecting AF until day 32 or thereabouts. So it could just be AF and a very short LP this month (can LPs sometimes be randomly shorter?) or... could it be implantation bleeding?

My RHR on my Fitbit is in decline so I’m not overly hopeful, however when I had my nearly 2YO I had some spotting on 9&10DPO so... 🤞

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 11:50

I took 50mg per day after ovulation last month @TTCat39, I think the RDA etc is quite low by comparison. I think others here did similar/took a similar dose all month and also felt better for it.

TTCat39 · 24/03/2021 11:28

Thanks @thislittlebird My pre-conception vitamin contains 100% NRV of vitamin B6 and I've been taking that for months now. Do you take more than that?

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 11:24

Welcome to any newbies including @Feanorous and sorry if there’s anyone I’ve missed!

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 11:23

I was getting some intense PMS symptoms like that for a few months @TTCat39 and I wonder if the B6 helped last cycle (first on it) because my PMS and AF lead up was a dream last month compared to the ones prior.

TTCat39 · 24/03/2021 11:10

Thanks for the new thread @M4v3r1ck !
CD21, 11dpo and feeling totally awful today. I usually feel this way in the run up to AF, so I don't think we're lucky this month (cycle 5 of TTF).

Does anyone else feel like this before AF? Totally exhausted although I slept well, lightheaded, dizzy, legs feel like jelly, can't concentrate, heart fluttering and irregular breathing. Happens every month!

thislittlebird · 24/03/2021 10:53

Thanks for the new thread @M4v3r1ck!

@climbershell yeah, maybe late. It was before I got acupuncture in Feb, was day 17/18. Then last cycle day 14, now nothing so far. So one month off from acupuncture and it’s back to being late, or not coming. The lack of EWCM is weird though.

Started taking my anti anxiety drug, not putting it off anymore because I’m getting really anxious over ovulation.

Same @Kitekat81 😔

Twelvestars · 24/03/2021 10:04

@M4v3r1ck thanks for the new thread! It’s opened with a bang haha I’m 4dpo and cd17.

@Farfaraway1 do you think it might be the brand of sticks that’s a bit messed up or faulty?

@Geriatric1234 I think I may have mentioned this a few posts ago but no harm in repeating. My sister in law got pregnant at 43 by pure chance! She and her husband were not using any protection, thinking that at their age it won’t happen for them but it did! It really is down to luck sometimes with all the stars aligned.

@Kitekat81 fingers crossed!

Marvellouslymadmum · 24/03/2021 10:03

@Farfaraway1 thank you, we are all really close so I just don't see age gaps as an issue, although initially I never wanted large gaps when I had my two that's why they're so close in age.

@Geriatric1234 loving the story about the ladies appalled ovaries!!

@climbershell I'd guess you're just in the realms of high - peak and as you ov 24-48 hours after the peak of just carry on dtd for the next few days but it can absolutely be every other day rather than every day if you'd like, some studies say that's better for sperm health anyway

climbershell · 24/03/2021 09:31

I guess the other positive was 17:30 yesterday, so see what it's like after work today!

I use prenom but often doesn't auto get levels perfect so have to edit and adjust
