@Magnum99 I used the ferti-lily twice last cycle, didn't work for me. I haven't bothered this cycle, to be honest I didn't really feel like it was doing anything. It didn't feel like it was pushing or holding anything up, more like just stirring it around a bit! If you are someone who likes to jump up after dtd and get on with your day, then it might be good for holding things in a bit longer. But if you are happy to lie still for 20-30 mins after then I'm not sure what benefit it gives.

Kitekat81 · 17/04/2021 10:26

@Yumcoffee oh my goodness congratulations!!! That is the absolute dream, to get a bfp after so long trying, gives us all hope 😍 Yes please tell us exactly what you did this month! 😄

@Misty84 you definitely need to change that, you didn't do all the hard work dtd this month only to flush out any potential result! Definitely need to do it before ovulation.

@M4v3r1ck we are going with Create Manchester. All things considered I think the mild protocol they suggest is the best fit for my situation. Starting to get nervous now about all the needles 🙈

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 10:23

@Yumcoffee oh wow, fingers crossed. Your 21 cycles gives me a little hope.

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/04/2021 10:19

@Yumcoffee ooh congratulations, really hope this is your sticky little bean x

KatRee · 17/04/2021 10:05

@Yumcoffee Wowee! Congratulations! Hoping for a happy and healthy pregnancy for you! Smile

Also, please share all your tips- what supplements you on, what days dtd etc!

Yumcoffee · 17/04/2021 09:49

Hello guys 11dpo didn't test yesterday because didn't want to be depressed at work. forgot this morning then managed to force out a tiny dribble and got this positive?! This is my first one for 21 cycles! I am wishing so hard this will stick for me 😭😍 loads of love to you all x

@KatRee I know, it’s hard to keep the frustration in check! Yes it does save your sanity just to pay for it which is probably what we’ll do too.

KatRee · 17/04/2021 09:11

@Misty84 it doesn't make sense at all does it? Hospital I'm referred to actually seems to have a fairly sensible system if only there was actually a way to get through to them once they'd impressed upon me the extreme importance of contacting them in cd1! I'm going to try and book a private test this weekend as willing to pay to save my sanity! Hopefully you'll be able to get through to NHS clinic on Monday and see if they can rearrange x

Misty84 · 17/04/2021 09:03

@KatRee Thank you! It’s actually quite laughable in that case that they’ve just randomly booked me in without asking about my cycle at all! Bloody useless!

KatRee · 17/04/2021 08:56

@Misty84 - not had HyCoSy done yet as hospital not answering calls or responding to emails, but they did send me this quite informative letter about it

Been booked in for an NHS HyCoSy next week, but I read that it should be done after AF and before ovulation, however they’ve just randomly assigned me a time and it’s actually the day AF is due. I read online that you shouldn’t have it if you could potentially be pregnant because the dye can flush out the embryo? @Kitekat81 I think you’ve had a HyCoSy, can you shed light on this? Or anyone else who has had it? It would be great to get it done for free (as it’s £500 privately) but not if it’s at the wrong time in my cycle! Will call them up on Monday anyway to ask!

@M4v3r1ck Unfort my thermometer broke so I can’t temp check, it has been nice in a way to have one less thing to do, but it was def useful to monitor things!

Going to the pub this eve with a small group, none of whom have children or have any interest in talking about them, hurrah!

M4v3r1ck · 17/04/2021 08:10

Happy weekend ladies! 😍

@Henslovetoscratch your name still makes me giggle! 😃 I also have the easyathome cheapies alongside my CB! Bit temperamental, but using fmu definitely worked for me! 😃

@Kitekat81 wow re: price, but utterly worth it for the outcome! Amazing that you can start from end of May! 😍 who did you decide to go with in the end?

@thislittlebird no wonder! The whole TTC process is overwhelming, never mind researching all of this too! 😳

@Misty84 hey cycle buddy! That's me on the high BBT, so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 it stays that way and it's a lucky cycle for us!

@Marvellouslymadmum @Bombshell85 happy FW, ladies! Get on it! 👏🏻😈

@Loladoodle good to hear from you lady! 😃 Are you still doing well with exercising etc? Funny, I've started booking and planning things too, and just going to cross any bridges if it comes to it! 😍

@Magnum99 not used one myself, but there was definitely some chat about Fertilily recently! Seems promising! 😃 I've spent so much recently so was going to wait a bit before buying! 🙈

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/04/2021 20:32

@thislittlebird there's just so much to it all! And knowing which package to go for etc is just so hard to decide!!

I spoke to the doc this morning who's sending me for another blood test but said that's literally the last test she can do for me, she also gave me the number for sussex downs fertility as that's where the oh has been referred for his sa so waiting for a call back from them to find out when it'll be, so I had a good nose around their website and they do a free initial consultation then it's £450 for tests but that includes an sa then they do packages for one cycle only that include everything which aren't too bad and they're quite close to us so I may book a free consultation.

@Bombshell85 good luck for fw I should start mine in the next few days too

Magnum99 · 16/04/2021 20:26

AF has turned up today, 2 days early.
I think I need to ramp this TTC malarkey up a bit, clearly what we're doing isn't working.
I think I know when I'm ovulating but thinking of testing to double check. Last month I tried cheap tests from B&M's but didn't get a peak. Are the CB digital tests actually any better?
What does everyone recommend?

Anyone use a Fertilily? Any thoughts?

Bombshell85 · 16/04/2021 18:45

@TTCat39 🤣🤣🤣 put it between your boobs!! So funny.

Its fertile 'week' for me ladies wish me luck ❤💥

Loladoodle · 16/04/2021 18:42

@selina37 😂 what are we like?!!! Yes the b6 is a miracle worker for the ole spotting! 👏 glad it’s working for you. Cd1 & 2 always pretty rough for me- hope you are having an easier time with af! A few wee drinks this weekend for sure 🥂 onwards and upwards chick 💪

Henslovetoscratch · 16/04/2021 17:49

@Misty84 oh wow thank you, that is cheap!!

selina37 · 16/04/2021 17:34

Hey @Loladoodle I'm in CD1 with you 😂 I notice you've only just posted too when I came on here 🤣 are you sure we're not the same person?!

No spotting this month!! B6 really is a miracle! Can't thank you enough for recommending it ❤️

Loladoodle · 16/04/2021 17:30

Hi everyone 👋 welcome newbies ☺️ I haven’t been on much lately as didn’t really get the opportunity to properly try this month (due to life getting in the way) so no surprise we are on to cycle 15 as of today! @selina37 how are you?

Sounds like a few of you will be starting ivf soon, really wishing you all the very best but praying 🙏 you might get lucky before it starts!

For those having a tough time, thinking of you all- it’s an up and down journey, you will get there 💪 keep positive! 🤞

I’ve really hit some new emotions now, and feel my mind planning ahead without a baby. I think I’d be totally shocked and surprised if it happened now as I’m literally planning life as though it probably isn’t going to happen. Maybe a bit of acceptance not sure, but feeling life less on hold is helping 🙂

Misty84 · 16/04/2021 17:15

@Henslovetoscratch I use these opks which include some pregnancy tests. Super cheap! 😂

Henslovetoscratch · 16/04/2021 14:26

Afternoon folks, I wondered what cheaper than clear blue etc test do people recommend using? Now wondering if it's worth having a few cheapies for my sanity at the moment. Thank you 🙂

Castielle · 16/04/2021 12:23

@Misty84 thank you. I hope everything's okay. 21 months is a while, hopefully, the appointment will bring light to your situation.

@M4v3r1ck Thank you. I guess, it only feels that way. But when I read how long others have been waiting, 8 months feels like no time at all.

Kitekat81 · 16/04/2021 12:11

A little bit disappointed - I won't be able to start on my next period after all. I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true! Will have to wait until the period after, so looking at starting treatment end of May. Oh well, gives us an extra month to try naturally!

KatRee · 16/04/2021 09:10

@Kitekat81 @M4v3r1ck @Marvellouslymadmum @Misty84 Thanks for the words of support- we've decided that if we don't manage to get NHS appointments sorted by the end of the week we will contact a private clinic to arrange them. As OH pointed out, we have a little bit more saved up this year on account of not being able to spend it on our usual treats.

@Kitekat81 @TTCat39 yay for positive news and things moving forwards!

@thislittlebird @MgW1 Enjoy your time away- you've inspired me and I'll be looking to get a break booked in as well as clinic appointments this weekend

Hope everyone is doing Ok today

thislittlebird · 16/04/2021 06:20

@Marvellouslymadmum @Kitekat81 yeah, the price floored me a bit. ICSI adds even more on Hmm

I think I’d be tempted to get the 2 cycle package with access if I was doing it through them, just over £8-10k (depending on ICSI or IVF, with unlimited FET + additional for medication). Rather than committing to 3 cycles with one clinic for much more money. The dream is the NHS just send us for one when we see them so I can see how it goes without wasting a ton of money on the first round and then use my response to that round to gauge what I’d like to pay for. The first round is all such a gamble when you don’t know what your egg quality will be like once it’s out, or if they’ll fertilise and stay alive etc. Would be great if we didn’t need ICSI.

I’ve gone down a spiral of what if we need to do more tests on him like DNA fragmentation or when they take the sperm out surgically. Why is it all such a minefield???

I think I’m going to restart B6 today and maybe also email PALS next week to flag my concerns and experience to date ahead of my appointment in May maybe.
