Welcome to @KatRee and @ShirleyValentineManc! What's your progesterone @ShirleyValentineManc? My cycle sounds similar but with late ovulation and also the low progesterone.

I went to acupuncture yesterday and the last time I did that I ovulated on day 15 instead of 18ish and had a normal period, hoping it'll help next month too.

@MgW1 I won't go as far as to say he has a spare tyre, but he (and I) probably need to lose a stone. After we've been away for a few days next week I think we need to be a little more serious about losing some with our fertility appointment upcoming.

I haven't taken my b6 in a while because I stopped everything when I started all the meds for my skin. But I will start b6 + magnesium again soon, I'm on cycle day 33 because I suspect I did not ovulate this month Confused

@M4v3r1ck yeah, I've made lots of changes the last few years to be more green but I do feel bad about throwing all the tupperware away. I don't know who would want it. I might only throw the things we use very often/are very old, get a few key pieces for food prep and storage. As I mentioned to @Katiekattty our storage is very limited in the kitchen so I need to be quite picky about what I get and how heavy it is.

I'll look up lifetub @Katiekattty. What sort of cleaning swaps are you doing and what's this thing about the dishwasher @Misty84? Also glad to hear you're feeling a bit better!

ShirleyValentineManc · 10/04/2021 20:35

Hi all. I'm 35, 36 in July. Been TTC since June. Had blood tests on CD 21 low progesterone. But at home tests are showing ovulation on day 6-8. If you saw my cycle analysis you'd prob cry! 24-32 days...
Having had a 'friend' recently get pregnant and out of the blue tell me via whatsapp and send a pic, I've had enough of not knowing women in my position to speak to. Hoping to bring some light and hope to the group and feel a bit better after a chat with you all xx

@StarL2021 I'm day 13 normally 26-28 day cycle .

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 14:33

@StarL2021 I'm an early one! Cd10/11 with 24/25 day cycles so normal luteal phase luckily! Just on a constant ttc rollercoaster Confused

StarL2021 · 10/04/2021 14:12

What day are all of you guys ovulating? I'm a late one so around 18/19.

StarL2021 · 10/04/2021 14:11

@selina37 that's frustrating when they can't find anything. Is this your first? It's all luck 0
pot luck each month. I can feel ovulation every month and if it's my right ovary twinging I get excited because apparently my egg from my first pregnancy came from that ovary. 😂. I do think I have undiagnosed endo too as my periods are just horrendous. Hope this month is your lucky month Smile

KatRee · 10/04/2021 09:53

Thanks so much for the welcome @Misty84 - glad you are feeling a bit better. I definitely veer between being fairly positive and needing to vent!
I started taking a bunch of supplements about six weeks ago and at the start of my last cycle was all 'well, need to be patient, takes time to work, if they lengthen my cycle a bit as a side effect that will be the only positive, I ask for this month' (was taking pregnacare and heard that could happen, but as my cycles seemed to have shortened with age, I was quite happy at the prospect they might be a bit longer. Of course come day 26 I'm sat on the bathroom floor willing that second line to appear- first test I'd done since I was 18 and willing a different result that time! Obviously BFN, but could be false, right? 4 tests later all blank as can be and I'm googling 'what's the latest you can get first BFP?' Aaargh! Actually relieved to see AF this morning after 31 days' wait! Sorry for super-long post about nothing- just had to get it out. Can't believe how much I let it get to me

selina37 · 10/04/2021 09:16

@Misty84 I've been trying for over two years now, but last year was extremely stressful and the first 6 months or so of trying I don't think I understood my cycles properly. That's how I convince myself that there's less of an issue anyway 😂

I got my hycosy at a private clinic but through the NHS. My GP surgery just had to do the referral! It's worth an ask?

To be honest although OH's SA was all fine, it could be better. I wish he'd cut down his drinking to be fair, and eat a little healthier 🙄

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/04/2021 09:12

@Misty84 good to hear you're feeling better than yesterday ♥️ when you booking your hycosy for? I've got a lap on Tuesday for endometriosis. Gonna ask if they'll do a dye test too.

Misty84 · 10/04/2021 09:05

Thank you so much @M4v3r1ck @MgW1 @Pamparam @soontobeamama @notyetamumbuttrying @thislittlebird ❤️ Can’t believe the wonderful support on here towards something that isn’t TTC related. Feeling better than yesterday.

@selina37 Can you remind me how long you’ve been trying for? While it’s great that your tests are all normal, it’s frustrating that you don’t know what the issue is! I’ve had everything but the HyCoSy, I’m on a 6 month waiting list just to get an appointment for that🙄, so will have to get that done privately (for a cool £500!) At the moment all I know that’s wrong is very low AMH but my eggs might be fine and just blockages in the tubes!🙃 Haha that’s one line of thought anyway! Been trying nearly 2 years.

Hello @KatRee 👋🏻 You are very welcome here. Everyone is amazing and it’s a great place to vent or be positive, depending on how you’re feeling at the time! 🙂

KatRee · 10/04/2021 08:31

Can I join please? I'm 37, NTNP for at least 2 years, TTC for 9 months/3 months depending on your definition of 'trying'. Decided needed to be much more proactive about it from the start of this year, but that has also lead to becoming more obsessive about it and have been driving myself a bit crazy the last few days with no one to talk to about it!
Hope everyone is doing OK this morning, sorry to read about what some of you have gone through

selina37 · 10/04/2021 08:22

@StarL2021 yes I've had all tests possible, bloods and hycosy where they put dye through the tubes to check they're not blocked and OH had semen test and all are normal. So we just keep plodding on month by month... 🤷🏼‍♀️

StarL2021 · 10/04/2021 06:34

@selina37 okay that makes sense. I always thought the spotting may be the lining starting to shed which would then affect implantation.

I took 100mg and now I'm taking a complex.
2 years. Have you had all your bloods done etc? Xx

M4v3r1ck · 10/04/2021 06:26

Morning ladies! Decided to stumble onto MN whilst waiting for my OPK test results. Reading with very blurry and tired eyes! 🙃

@Misty84 utterly gutted for you! I can't even imagine that level of devastation. 😔
@TTCat39 thanks for sharing your journey! I'm so sorry you keep getting one knock after another! 😔
Sending you both all the love, hope, positivity etc in the world you get your dreams! 😘

@climbershell omg that exhaustion sounds familiar! I remember struggling with regular work outs! Keep us posted and look after yourself! 😃😍

@thislittlebird all, we have slowly started doing a plastic removal with tubs etc. I've also started changing things like our skincare, body wash etc, and we're running down our cleaning stuff. Tbh it's more of an attempt to be environmentally conscious too, but I've read that this is also good for TTC! 😃

Welcome any newbies, and sending you all happy awesome weekend vibes! 😎 My OPKs are still showing low for now, but only CD9 here! Here's to some more healthy sticky BFPs soon! 🤞🏻😘

I need to shift around 7 stone 😩. DH im proud to say is fit and lean 💪its my letting the side down 😔

MgW1 · 09/04/2021 23:46

@thislittlebird
Oh men get that around their middle!!! Mine has a spare tyre alright! Its smaller than it was.
How are you getting on with b6? I have just started taking it ... lots of positive reviews online which is reassuring!
What cd are you on?

MgW1 · 09/04/2021 23:38

@Misty84
So sorry about your sister 😔 absolutely terrible news and cant imagine what your going through (((virtual hugs))) 😔😔 xx

Katiekattty · 09/04/2021 23:07

@thislittlebird I use a couple of different brands and I’m waiting for one particular brand to launch a new range. I also occasionally find them in TKMaxx. I have a set of lifetub ones that I really like. I have barely any storage in the house.

Misty84 · 09/04/2021 23:06

Thank you so much to all you lovelies who have reached out today ❤️

@thislittlebird I have begun the plastic purge! Swapped all containers to glass, and bought glass water and smoothie bottles instead of the plastic ones I was reusing (and putting in the dishwasher oooops). Swapped our cleaning products (my mum was delighted to receive our cast offs!) and now moving onto a cleaner skincare range too. Started reading ISWTE a few weeks ago and how all those chemicals affect us is fascinating!

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 23:03

I really want to do this but I have a bit of a storage problem @Katiekattty. I keep my Tupperware on a shelf where the microwave is in my rather small kitchen. The shelf in there is looking a little...strained under the weight but we don’t have anywhere else to keep them and if we get glass they’re going to be heavier Confused

Did you find a good brand?

I’m not sure what to do really, I do think I need to replace the old stuff though. We store a lot of food in those pots.

Katiekattty · 09/04/2021 22:55

@thislittlebird funnily enough I’ve gradually moving to glass Tupperware type containers. I got rid all the old plastic ones. I’ve been slowly swapping out the containers because I like to meal prep depending on what’s going on with me.

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:49

Ok so has anyone here replaced old plastic Tupperware and stuff? Or done anything else to improve the plastic situ at home?

I saw this today which reminded me I should get on that with that considering DH’s motility issues
www.salon.com/2021/04/04/plastic-pollution-infertility-extinction/

I hadn’t seen it linked directly to plastics before, does that egg book go into this as the cause? I chose not to buy the egg book because they didn’t have a kindle edition but now I’m wondering if I should.

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:41

@Misty84 I’m so sorry to hear your story. I know it doesn’t help you but I really relate to and understand that desire for your own family. I haven’t suffered the same loss, but I have suffered the sort of....disintegration of what’s left of my family. You will get your own little family one way or another 🧡

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:37

@Noodella18 I had a bit of an anxiety test today. Driving makes me quite anxious and I went to the acupuncturist and went up the wrong road and got all stressed when I was stuck in a narrow dead end with cars all around me and had to do a sixteen point turn Confused. I definitely felt anxious, like I normally would in a driving situation that makes me stressed. I wonder if it’ll improve over time.
