@soontobeamama lol I love the saying 'upduffed' any excuse to use it 😂

@Kitekat81 oh we do! @M4v3r1ck are you making a new thread?

soontobeamama · 18/04/2021 20:48

@Marvellouslymadmum "upduffed" GrinGrinGrinGrinxx

Kitekat81 · 18/04/2021 20:29

@Misty84 I don't even know where to begin with processing that story about your friend 🤯

Ladies, we need a new thread!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/04/2021 19:36

@thislittlebird oh that's great! It's like cutting out the middleman and not killing anything to get it 😂 that's a good idea about the urologist, I think that's who my oh needs to see for his epididymis issues but he's too scared to ask to be referred as he suffers with health anxiety

@Misty84 re: your friend I can never get my head around it either, if that had happened to me though I still couldn't get an abortion, I'd rather do it alone but that's just me

@soontobeamama I often wonder this as so many people seem to get upduffed whist sloshed lol

@Gummybear17 definitely just try and relax and be happy (I know easier said than done)

Gummybear17 · 18/04/2021 18:33

@yumcoffee I'm ok thank you . Still barely any progression on IC but I Amazon primed another pack for FRER and it looks promising . I'm a bit scared to get excited as I'm convincing myself something is going to go wrong . Need to sort myself out worrying isn't going to help anybody ! Thanks for checking in ! X

Misty84 · 18/04/2021 17:59

@soontobeamama EXACTLY! Such a lottery!!
No sense to it.

soontobeamama · 18/04/2021 17:38

@Misty84 - you hear about these things happening and I just wonder how it can be so easy for some people to fall pregnant after one time, when the likes of us who are in loving relationships and ready to have a baby and are desperately trying each month and it is so difficult?! xx

soontobeamama · 18/04/2021 17:35

@Yumcoffee - I wonder if that wine and wotsits combo was what actually what did the trick! We've all been so careful not drinking etc and ttc is so stressful - maybe because you let your hair down a bit and relaxed, it made all the difference? xx

Yumcoffee · 18/04/2021 14:13

@Misty84 oh wow what a shocker for her!! 😵

@thislittlebird yes giant wotsits 😂 full of vitamin orange! Did not know that about the fish! Think i will look into some responibly sourced algai and when i run out of ££ can just dive in the sea and dine with the fish 😂

Good idea to make sure all the equipment's doing its best before going for the IVF!

thislittlebird · 18/04/2021 13:46

@Yumcoffee were they giant Wotsits? Because I’ve eaten too many of those lately 😂

I watched Seaspiracy the other day and they said the only reason the fish have omega 3 in the first place is because they eat algae @Marvellouslymadmum @yumcoffee, which was news to me. We have the vegan algae based ones for my DH.

@Misty84 yeah I wouldn’t worry about it.

I’ve been having a think and before committing to any IVF/ICSI I think I’m going to send DH to a good urologist. See if we can get some more info on his issue before failing at IVF.

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/04/2021 13:20

@Yumcoffee oh that's interesting! I'll have to have a look into those thank you

@Misty84 exactly it's not like you're off on a binge every night!

Misty84 · 18/04/2021 13:18

A single friend of mine got pregnant from a very drunken one night stand...she’s having it aborted as doesn’t even know the name of the father or have any of his details, and she doesn’t want a baby that way.

Blows my mind how this can happen.

Misty84 · 18/04/2021 13:16

@Marvellouslymadmum Yeah I agree, don’t think the occasional blow out will wreck all my eggs! 🤞

@Yumcoffee Your cheap wine and wotsits comment made me laugh!

Yumcoffee · 18/04/2021 13:12

Thanks @M4v3r1ck , @Sleeeeeepy & @soontobeamama I'm very cautious! Trying to be optimistic but ready to keep on sexing away if this one doesnt want to stay x

@KatRee Boo to the rigorous sex schedules! How do you feel about eating the salmon?

@marvellouslymadmum totally get that! I think there are vegan omega 3 tablets made from algae that i might switch to at some point.

I drank a whole bottle of cheap wine and scoffed a share bag of wotsits in the park like a real glamour bird at the start of the month! Forgot to put that on my list didn't I!

How are you doing @Gummybear17 ? xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/04/2021 13:02

@Noodella18 I've been taking b6 up until ovulation and high dose b complex for a couple of months and it seems to be keeping my cycles fairly regular so far!

@Misty84 when I got pregnant with my daughter I went for a night out before I knew and drank quite a bit, I don't think it'll effect your chances now and I'm sure the oh will get over it. Hoping so much that you and @Kitekat81 get some good news before ivf!

@Yumcoffee I'm a veggie too but I really don't feel like I could make myself eat fish now, it's been 26 years since I've touched meat 😑

@thislittlebird yes we will! I'm still big fat 0️⃣ on the opk today cd9 though a slightly raised temp so think it'll be another one like last month with just one day of high before a peak, started dtd anyway, can't hurt can it!

Misty84 · 18/04/2021 12:36

@Kitekat81 I ovulated Day 15 too and we dtd on 12,13,14,15,16. So you did even better than me haha! Haven’t since as bloody exhausted so I hope these opks are accurate!!!😂

@KatRee Yeah we definitely need to relax once in a while and I can’t abstain from getting drunk forever! Luckily OH seems to have mostly forgiven me now..! Glad you had fun with your friend :)

thislittlebird · 18/04/2021 12:36

@Kitekat81feels like I need the few days away based on this weekend, I’m exhausted lol

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah, once you know you know and all that. We’ll have to see how our silly cycles go this month since we’re nearly the same day in.

@Noodella18 I’ve started taking b6 but not b complex this cycle from cd 6. Previously I took it after ovulation only but with my antibiotics causing oestrogen dominance (I think) I thought I’d try it all month and see how things go. It was fine when I took it after ovulation.

@Sleeeeeepy I’m not even sure what’s open exactly so we’re taking plenty of food with us in case it’s busy or a bit of a bum fight to eat outside. It’ll be fun to be anywhere different! On the plus side it was a bargain few days away and we got £100 off.

soontobeamama · 18/04/2021 11:31

Congratulations @Yumcoffee! Fantastic news!
Thanks so much for the information - it's great to find out what people have been doing before getting pregnant! xx

KatRee · 18/04/2021 11:22

@Yumcoffee - thanks so much for the detailed list! I was also 99% veggie and now eat salmon 2x week - hope it works! 🤞And so relieved to hear you caught without dtd every day for a week! Some people seem to have very rigorous schedules and me and OH cannot handle it in our old age!

Congratulations to @Gummybear17 and hoping for a sticky one for you too

@Misty84 I also drank rather too much last night- had planned to stop after a couple of small glasses but it's been so long since I was out with a friend having fun, we all need to be able to relax once in a while, right?

Hoping for positive news for everyone soon

Kitekat81 · 18/04/2021 11:09

@Misty84 oh yay cycle buddy! We did really well for dtd this month as well. Ov'd on day 15 and we dtd on days 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. Can't help but feel a little bit hopeful. Praying for success for both of us before IVF 🙏 Glad you had a chance to let your hair down last night. Honestly ttc is so stressful, it's the constant mental load worrying about what you can and can't eat and drink, worrying about whether you are getting enough sleep which just leads to less sleep, worrying about whether you are dtd enough and in the RIGHT WAY...it's exhausting, so having a night to blow off steam and just forget all about it is very well deserved!

@M4v3r1ck will have nurse appointment in about 3 weeks and then start treatment about 3 weeks after that. Fingers crossed for you this cycle as well! 🤞

Misty84 · 18/04/2021 10:29

@Noodella18 I take Vit B complex, it hasn’t affected my cycles however I do range from 24-30 days, it’s been that way since before I started taking it though. SOMETHING I take has caused me to have a very itchy scalp and acne around my jawline but I haven’t worked out which of the many supplements that is yet! 🤦‍♀️

@Kitekat81 We are cycle buddies as AF is due for me on 28th! We gave dtd such a good go this month and I’m ever hopeful that a miracle happens before IVF starts 🙏

Ended up getting absolutely wasted at my friend’s garden drinks last night...very much in the doghouse with oh today. I haven’t been that drunk since way before Covid and I think it’s all the pressures of TTC, I know heavy drinking isn’t good but yesterday I was just so fed up of it all and went too far with trying to unwind! ☹️ Have a lot of making up to do today 🤦‍♀️

Sleeeeeepy · 18/04/2021 10:10

@thislittlebird Have fun at Center parcs! I love it there, we're in October half term the cost of which is totally insane. Pancake house for the win!x

Sleeeeeepy · 18/04/2021 10:08

Congratulations @Yumcoffee what lovely news!! Everything crossed for a happy, healthy nine months for you.

@Noodella18 I take vit b complex to lengthen my cycle, I had a 17 day one a while back, started on them and it stretched them out to 24ish days. It might be lengthening yours as well so possibly worth giving them a miss to see if it helps
