@LostFox82 first cycle - had a "normal" period when I mc'd so didn't expect it to be this long. More annoyed because it's yet another reminder. And of course that stupid glimmer of hope it's because I'm pregnant when it's not even possible

LostFox82 · 28/04/2021 22:23

@DMT1982 it’s so frustrating isn’t it it’s cycle day 36 for me now and I have no symptoms of AF coming... spoke to GP tonight and they said nothing they can do, I just have to wait 😒 I’ve never had a cycle this long ever...

@cupcakesandglitter what cycle post miscarriage are you on? I have a feeling mines going to go on and on, it’s the most frustrating thing ever when you’re ttc 😭

cupcakesandglitter · 28/04/2021 21:00

@Ralala huge congratulations xxxx

Sorry I've been MIA. Taken a huge break, not coping well. CD45 and nothing. Not pregnant, no AF. Feels like a joke at this point. Could be from the MC, could be from COVID. Who knows 😓

Badlydrawngirly · 28/04/2021 20:45

@Ralala huge congratulations!

@J785948 after falling pregnant quite easily in the past it took us over 3 years to conceive this last pregnancy and time isn’t on my side (42) and I lost my left tube after 3 ectopics. We’ve tried letrozole this month and if it doesn’t work after a couple of goes we will move to IVF at a clinic in Greece in July I think.

DMT1982 · 28/04/2021 20:21

@Ralala huge congratulations to you xx

DMT1982 · 28/04/2021 20:15

@LostFox82 I had the same procedure done end of December last year. First period back took 5-6 weeks and then my next one was bang on 28 days like my cycle used to be. The next one was then 32 days which I didn’t expect and we are not currently TTC due to other gastro issues I’m having sorted. I’m 38 so also worried there was maybe something else going on but I saw a gynaecologist recently who said it takes a while for everything to settle down to just bare with your body and it’ll sort itself out

AlbiMix · 28/04/2021 17:57

Yaaaaay @Ralala congratulations! So excited for you Grin

@gizmo167 I've had some stomach pains which I've concluded may be gas, lol (sorry for TMI). They seem to come in waves and it does feel like it's a tummy thing. Was really bad like a week ago but it's settled down now (unsure if that's a good or bad thing). Could yours be something like that? I think bloating and gas is common in pregnancy, just another joy of the experience...

Ralala · 28/04/2021 12:52

Thank you @PlantMummy87.

Feels all abit surreal. Trying not to think about things. Feeling very nervous!!

PlantMummy87 · 28/04/2021 08:56

@Ralala congratulations that is wonderful news 💕 hope you are feeling ok xx

Ralala · 28/04/2021 07:19

Congratulations @Ralala another one with a BFP. Can't wait to see some more ladies with theirs:

I can't remember how I felt in my last pregnancy my mind seems to have gone blank but I am 4 weeks 2 days and don't have any symptoms, is that normal? I have the odd cramping but only mild and tired and need to wee all the time but no sickness or sore boobs etc so making me worry.

gizmo167 · 27/04/2021 19:42

@Ralala big congrats hun x

Anyone else have an achy tummy, like a belly ache, cross between bloating & sore if that makes sense, have felt it all afternoon

MSK1 · 27/04/2021 17:48

Yes, that’s the plan, thanks @Ralala. Odd as I’ve always had my peak by now. I did miss a test on Friday though so maybe that would’ve been my peak, who knows? Will keep on going EOD until AF arrives. You’re right though, it’s bloody tiring all this! Had some pains in my right ovary last night which I always get around ovulation so fingers crossed I have actually ovulated.

Congrats again @Ralala, so chuffed for you! X

Ralala · 27/04/2021 17:43

@MSK1 thank you. I don’t know much about the digital tests to be honest. Maybe just keep DTD as much as you can just in case. Exhausting though!

MSK1 · 27/04/2021 17:38

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the new ladies, so sorry that you’ve found yourselves here but you’ve definitely found a very supportive group of ladies.

Congratulations @Ralala, so pleased for you and will keep everything crossed for you!

Had a very down day today. CD21 and my 8th flashing smiley face in a row on CB digital tests. I nearly threw it out of the window this morning when I saw it. Feeling very deflated at the moment. Feel like giving up.

Ralala · 27/04/2021 17:32

@Madeoftea I have been feeling off the last few days. I’m only cd28! I wonder if I did actually ovulate cd15 after peak on cd14. Frer line is quite strong not a squinter. My cycles have been all over the place since my MC. I will need a few days to let it all sink in I think xxx

nellieee · 27/04/2021 17:09

Hi ladies. I am sadly joining you all after a MC last week at around six weeks. I see lots of you are at different stages of your journeys, with ups and downs. @J785948 so sorry to see you are having such a tough time :( I hope you are being well cared for.

I recognise a few of you from other mutual threads, so hello! So lovely to see some bfps. Long may it continue with happy, healthy pregnancies and babas!

Madeoftea · 27/04/2021 16:57

@Ralala no way! 🎉🎉🎉 congratulations, I'm so pleased for you. How are you feeling?

Ralala · 27/04/2021 16:36

Ladies for some reason I can’t upload a pic, site keeps crashing if I try to do so, but I tested with a FRER this afternoon as I am feeling rough..... BFP!!!!! Cannot believe it!!!!

Jujujuberry · 27/04/2021 11:32

Exactally @J785948 the benefits of ivf and pgt is (pre implantation genetic testing). I think it costs more for pgt but it would be worth it to make sure your at least transferring a good embryo :) This is an incredibly tough journey, but be kind to yourself and take your mind off it to do things that make you happy ❤️

@gizmo167 stay positive this is a new pregnancy and entirely different, my fingers are crossed for you hun ❤️

gizmo167 · 27/04/2021 09:04

Morning all, Aw @J785948 I am so sorry hun, I have had 2 and I'm really not hopeful this one will stick either tbh not holding out any hope whatsoever and I know this is the end of the line for me as I am 43! I hope it turns out to be just spotting, sending hugs xx

I'm CD37 today and I dont know, I just dont have any hope today. I havent gone past CD44 in the 2 mc's and today my boobs dont feel as sore, I have a feeling its all starting again!

J785948 · 27/04/2021 06:59

Thank you for all of your replies, it is really appreciated. Cramping hasn't got any better, nor has it got any worse. I wouldn't say I am full on bleeding but it's lots of brown watery blood like my 2nd miscarriage. I am going to have a blood test at my EPU on Thursday if the cramping/bleeding hasn't got any worse.

@Jujujuberry - Sorry for your losses also. We had our tests done by Professor Regan at Imperial College in London. She doesn't recommend the generic testing as even if it comes back with a problem, they say their treatment plan would be the same - to just try again and get a better quality egg, similarly how you are trying.

Even if that isn't a problem, my gut is telling me it is my poor quality eggs, so my mindset is preparing me for trying IVF. Surely the benefit of that is they check the genetics of the embryo before implanting it? What is the phd testing?

@Badlydrawngirly - thank you for the message. Whilst we have self referred ourselves to a recurrent miscarriage clinic privately, I am hoping that we can do the same with our local NHS service. My thoughts is it cannot help to have a second opinion and for them to see whether any additional testing can be done.

I don't have a genetic blood clotting issue, but I think they do a test called the TEG test (I think) which just shows that it naturally clots more than it should do.

I think we will have one more go - the benefit is we can get pregnant quickly (has taken 2 goes for the first 2 and 5 cycles for the most recent one) and after that look further afield at NK cells of IVF. What is the benefit of IVF in your situation?

Thank you again for all of the love xx

Jujujuberry · 26/04/2021 23:56

@J785948 I am so sorry your going through this for the third time, its so unfair, I really hope you are surrounded by lots of love 💕 this thread is really amazing and know your not alone. Did your doctor do Karyotype tests for you and your OH? I’ve had 2 MC and had that test done and I have a genetic issue, which makes pregnancy a real Russian roulette for me, but I’m staying hopeful that the perfect egg will come and we’ll get lucky.. our next port of call will be Ivf with pgd testing. This journey is tough, but I just imagine the most amazing intense emotions when we get to hold our babies for the first time, and it will all be worth it ❤️

@LostFox82 @Badlydrawngirly sorry your having down days too! Its such a turbulent time. Ive had two days of slightly pink cm, so I think my AF is on its way, before the MC i never had spotting. It really messes with you body and mind hey!?

LostFox82 · 26/04/2021 23:07

Hello ladies, I hope you’re all well, so lovely to hear some success stories on here after what we’ve been through. I’m sorry to hear many of us are also so frustrated- I’m in this boat right now I hate it.
I wonder if anyone has any advice or thoughts please.
I’m on my 3rd cycle since erpc. Cycles went back to normal 28 days straight away but I’m now 7 days late of this cycle and still getting BFN. I started pregnacare conception this month as boots had run out of theirs - and now I hear pregnacare can mess with your cycle?!
I know I ovulated quite late this month as didn’t get solid smilie until CD19 then I got pink spotting day my period was due CD28 which I thought could be implantation but now nothing and no symptoms.
Anyone had similar - or better still a positive after more than a week late and BFNs?
I’m 39 so keep freaking out it’s early menopause!
Xx
