A thread for all the amazing strong ladies who have recently experienced a mc/mmc but are braving it to try again! Fingers crossed for a lucky one for us 🍀

@Ralala same here - ive definitely had a vibe from a few people that I should be grateful for what I've got which of course I am (very much so!) but it doesn’t take away from the yearning or the pain. I’m 2.5 months on now and no one mentions it to me any more, I think people do expect you to bounce back quite quickly unless it’s something they’ve experienced and understand. That’s why it’s so good to have this thread where you can moan and vent without being judged! 😀

Ralala · 28/03/2021 19:06

I already have a little one so I think people think in some ways a miscarriage isn’t as hard because you already have a child. Also with it being 2 months ago, I have found that expectation as well that I should be over it now. Gahhhhhh! I will be better tomorrow xxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 28/03/2021 18:47

Just catching up ladies - sorry to hear everyone’s having a bit of a rubbish day with it all 😟 it really does seem so unfair. I would have been over half way, due start of august and I keep looking at my tummy thinking “you should be in there.” Thankfully I only have one pregnant friend and we haven’t seen each other for months which as awful as it sounds I’m grateful for!! I don’t think I would be able to cope with going for a walk and doing all the baby talk / nursery chat right now. You girls are doing so well!! Xx

Sleeeeeepy · 28/03/2021 17:22

I'm having a bit of a wobble. I really really wanted another baby but now I'm not so sure. The thought of being pregnant again is now really scary, I had no symptoms with the MMC and then bled for about six weeks after two rounds of treatments because it just wouldn't shift. I'm not sure I can handle it potentially happening again, it was just so much. Ugh sorry but I needed to offload somewhere and this feels like a safe space x

Ralala · 28/03/2021 16:44

Thanks @AMS19. Yeah I’m just in a mood about it today. Proper annoyed . I think AF hormones are also playing apart. My skin is also a mess. Hormones have a lot to answer for

AMS19 · 28/03/2021 15:50

@Ralala my best friend is also pregnant due 4 weeks before I was! It's so awkward now as I just can't feel happy for her. Which is so bad to say. I've lost all hope of ever being a mum now, which is heartbreaking. If only we had a crystal ball, hey! Be kind to yourself today, you are allowed days where you are pissed off with the world and to mope. We've been through something so shitty it's only normal we would feel this way!

@AMS19 my cycles were typically 31 days with ovulation on cd17. I was that before and after I had my little one. The MC seems to have proper thrown them. I started bleeding with my MC on 18th Jan. First AF on 24th Feb so 38 days and now 33 days. Arghhhh. When you already have slightly longer than average cycles , this extra time feels even longer .

Defo not super fertile I tell you! Fairly confident I’m not ovulating yet urghhhh

Sorry , so frustrated today with it all. One of my besties is pregnant and I met her today for a walk and all she spoke about was the baby and nursery. I listened and chipped in but I didn’t need that today I tell you

AMS19 · 28/03/2021 14:19

Hi @Ralala thats frustrating really hoping AF is around the corner for you. How long were your cycles pre miscarriage? Whoever said you're more fertile after a miscarriage was living on a different planet 😂😂😂

@No1worrier sorry to hear, I feel the same although I wasn't nearly as far as you but I just feel it's so unfair, I should be nearly 14 weeks, I should have been a mum in 2021 and now I won't be and now I'm back to the start starting again with TTC so now it's 6 months since I came off my pill as well cause I've basically wasted a couple of months.

Ralala · 28/03/2021 13:35

Hi ladies, how are we all? Just catching up.

9 weeks post MC for me. Current cd33 of my first AF. Not sure if I even ovulated as BBT broke. Achey boobs today, some ewcm and slight increase randomly in RHR. I think it’s an estrogen surge before AF. I hope so anyway. I’m already over due so to speak. So frustrated at the moment that I have no idea what my body is doing.

I have ordered some OPKs for next cycle so going to give that a bash. Haven’t used them before so I shall no doubt have lots of questions for you all!

Neady1980 · 28/03/2021 12:35

@No1worrier I was exactly the same and decided that I would wait till first AF but then when I knew I was ovulating I didnt want to miss out so we tried unfortunately we are still trying although as my OH keeps saying I've only had 2 cycles since MC

AMS19 · 28/03/2021 11:48

@DMT1982 honestly I really thought is be pregnant again by now! I do wonder if the emotions have also played a role, the desperation and sadness from it all. But yes, roll on the sunshine!!

@No1worrier it's really tough. I was also due in July. I tried before AF but nothing happened. I wasnt tracking but giving my hcg levels were still high I think it's unlikely I ovulated. I have ovulated twice since and no luck so far xx

my head tells me no

No1worrier · 28/03/2021 11:17

Thank you for the replies. I have always said I would wait until first AF but then I worked out if we ttc in April and it's successful the baby would be here in 2021 and it gave me an overwhelming feeling of wanting to try even though I know I should wait. My head tells me to no but my heart says do it and try...

It's just so unfair to even have to think about this, I should be 24 weeks pregnant tomorrow and my baby girl due in July. That's what I want, not to ttc again 💔. Sorry just having one of those days x

DMT1982 · 28/03/2021 11:07

@AMS19 it’s mad isn’t it to think we are now nearly 4 months since our procedures and our bodies are only just finding their feet. I never expected it to take this long but maybe my expectations were too much as it’s a massive thing for us all to go through.

Well done on reducing your RHR and yes PT is hard at the time but the moment you finish it then you feel elated it’s over!

I’m due on in the next couple of days and can definitely tell as I’m feeling really tired. I’ll be interested to see if this time post period I suffer from the fatigue and headaches I have done since January and if not that will be a massive win.

Roll on the sunshine ☀️ xxx

Madeoftea · 27/03/2021 23:32

@Badlydrawngirly the trick is definitely to not have any tests anywhere near you or the temptation is too much!

@No1worrier I was happy when I got my negative, and then feeling like that upset me. Very mixed emotions and strange having to test knowing you're not pregnant anymore.

I've had the tiniest bit of spotting today and I have no idea what's going on with my body. I have no normal AF symptoms or cramps or anything. I'm hoping it's coming because my mc was 4 weeks ago now and I'd really like to get my cycle back to normal. Being patient isn't really my strong suit but hoping af turns up ASAP 🤞

Badlydrawngirly · 27/03/2021 22:54

Fingers crossed for you too @Neady1980!

It’s so hard seeing a negative test @No1worrier but it does show your body is getting back to normal. I was actually relieved when I got AF just short of 4 weeks after my ERPC as I thought I might have to wait ages.

Badlydrawngirly · 27/03/2021 22:51

@No1worrier I waited for AF first as that’s what the hospital advised. I was tempted not to but in 2017 I fell pregnant straight after an ectopic and that was a blighted ovum and I knew I couldn’t cope with that again.

@Neady1980 I’m the same so I haven’t got any in the house either. I won’t buy any until next weekend!

It’s so hard isn’t it!

Neady1980 · 27/03/2021 22:07

@Badlydrawngirly I was a week late when I took my pregnancy test only because I was told it was impossible so I think if I kept tests in the house I'd be testing continuously. Even now after MC I overthink every little ache and pain. I hope it's your month 🤞🤞

No1worrier · 27/03/2021 21:39

Today was the first day I done a HPT since my loss and it was negative. Horrible to see 💔 but I know it's technically a good sign. Just to check with you all, did anyone ttc or conceive straight away or did you all wait for AF?x

Badlydrawngirly · 27/03/2021 21:33

Thanks @Neady1980! Funnily enough I didn’t test until the 28 day mark last time even though my cycles had been 21 days for 3 months before. I think I wanted to save the heartbreak of a chemical and I waited an extra day because I’d got cramps and expected AF to show. This time because I’ve seen a positive OPK I know I’m expecting it to happen.

@SleepyKitKat it’s sooooo hard. I’m only 1DPO and noting every cramp and looking out for CM changes. It’s so hard to think about anything else. I think I’ll test at 10DPO over Easter weekend as it would probably show up then. I tell myself that the earlier I know the earlier I can start meds!

SleepyKitKat · 27/03/2021 17:08

AF not address Hmm

SleepyKitKat · 27/03/2021 17:04

@Badlydrawngirly I'm with you! My address is due in 10 days ish and I'm 5 days PO. I don't think I can wait until I'm late. But I know that it isn't necessarily smart to test early as could be setting myself up for more distress. It's hard though.

Neady1980 · 27/03/2021 16:49

@Badlydrawngirly, I have everything crossed for you 🤞🤞. I never test early dont even have pregnancy tests in the house. I'm very regular so if I'm late then I test, however, since MC AF has been early. Dont get me wrong though it's always in the back of my mind and I do be so tempted to test but I dont think I'd cope if I found out before AF was due, I would be a nervous wreck.

Badlydrawngirly · 27/03/2021 16:29

How do I stop myself driving myself crazy for the next 10 days wondering if we were successful this month?! I think it feels more possible because of the solid smiley on the OPK! I am going to end up driving myself crazy!
