@KJLM oh fab, it’ll be nice to have someone to keep me sane haha! Sounds like @AMS19 will be joining us too so there will be 3 of us close together in the tww xx

KJLM · 02/04/2021 13:39

@AMS19 you’re like a little ttc encyclopaedia! I didn’t realise about the 70 level. I will just keep dtd until all opks are back to low I think for this cycle. Ugh I just hate that it isn’t the whole ‘we weren’t not trying’ that everyone talks about (including me previously!🙄🙄)
@Mellous I think I’ll get my peak on Sunday so we’ll be in the tww together!
I have been having acupuncture weekly again so hoping it will be helping - even if it’s just for relaxation!

SleepyKitKat · 02/04/2021 13:24

Hello all,
Yay for successful scans you give me hope.
Welcome to newly joined though so sorry you are here iyswim. I second (third?!) that dhs don't seem to quite get the enormity of the cycle pressure. My dh wouldn't dtd on my peak day and I could've cried! I've being trying so hard to make it more natural, romantic evenings etc which worked well a couple of times before ovulation then on actual peak... nope! So frustrating and disappointing. I mean I get it, I don't always feel like it either but gaaaah for just a tiny window couldn't they just realise the importance?
Anyway, am currently in tww, af due in 4 days and I just know it'll be a BFN this time. Sigh. No 2021 baby for me.

@Greenluce I completely emphasise! I have two close people who are due exactly when I would've been and tbh I feel like avoiding them at the moment. It's such a really painful reminder. Alas one of them is a family member and there's a big family wedding right when she'll be about ready to pop - am trying to work on steeling my mental strength ahead of then. I know I should just feel happy for them but I just feel so sad.

AMS19 · 02/04/2021 13:21

@Greenluce I completely understand. My best friend is pregnant and 4 weeks apart from where I would have been! And when she moans about anything or sends me scan pictures it just makes me so angry. And I do really resent her. It's her 5th and here is me without any, seems so unfair. I'm not sure we will ever be as close again after this which is really really sad and on me. But I've learnt we feel what we feel, and can't change our emotions, so why beat ourselves up about something out of our control? It won't change anything, let's face it, we'd chose not to feel jealous if we had the choice

Morning ladies, just wanted to add that I have been reading all your messages and I am so happy for all the ladies that had their first scan and shared updates about their pregnancies in this thread. It really gives me so much hope! Smile

I have been quiet because I have spent the last week dwelling in self pity, crying and feeling very upset. It’s been almost 3 weeks since my miscarriage and the only friend I told about it in person had the brilliant idea to tell me that she is expecting a baby.

I know that I should feel happy for her, but the timing to share her news could not be worse! She told me all about her successful first scan, the heartbeat of her baby etc...and even called me a few days later to ask me advice on NIPT bookings.

I am genuinely happy for all the ladies in this thread believe me, but I can’t help myself, I don’t feel happy for her at the moment and I am avoiding her as much as I can!

Do you ever get these ugly feelings?
I have never felt this way before, I am usually very supportive of my girlfriends and I’ve never been a jealous type of person, not even of my DH or previous partners, but I feel so bad about it right now.

I am sorry for the rant, but I cannot admit these feelings to other people, I think they will never understand me!

Hope you have a lovely Easter weekend and I am keeping everything crossed for all of you TTC this month! xx

Greenluce · 02/04/2021 11:00

@CocoLoco88 I hear you! My cycle is very irregular, I didn’t have my period for 5 months last year but despite several tests, I didn’t get a clear answer why either.
The GP and gynaecologist kept reassuring me that everything seemed fine. Did you speak with your GP about it or had any tests done recently?

I have also read that acupuncture could help and if AF does not arrive in the next 2/3 weeks I might give that a go!
My MC was 3 weeks ago and I really want to start TTC as soon as I get my first period.

AMS19 · 02/04/2021 10:39

Also @MeganN91 obviously super sorry to hear about your mmc! Sorry should have said that at the start. We all know exactly how you feel! Most of us have been speaking for 4 months now since the start and it's the most incredible support group. I dont know if I would have made it through without these ladies. This is technically our 8th thread!

OP posts:
AMS19 · 02/04/2021 10:37

@MeganN91 welcome! Yes I had loads of spotting, after sex and just generally. I never had spotting before but in my last cycle I had spotting 4 days before period, had a 5 day period, then had spotting on and off all the way up to ovulation! All very odd. This cycle I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea from CD1 which is meant to help balance hormones and have had no spotting at all since my period! No idea if it had an effect or just coincidence but progress either way 🙂

Mellous · 02/04/2021 10:17

@AMS19 yes I know Grin I think I’ll ovulate tomorrow! I mean it’s not ideal but, like you, I’ll def take it at this point haha xx

MeganN91 · 02/04/2021 09:54

Hi everyone. So glad I found this thread. I'm new here. 👋. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in January. It was our second pregnancy. Which took us a year to conceive. I was broken. I had quite a lot of complications after it. But 7 weeks after my period started. So I'm on my first cycle. (CD18). I've had signs of ovulation , but never a bright test. After we dtd I bleed a bit. But it's never fresh blood. It's brown that comes out in the toilet. Nothing when I wipe. I'm thinking it's old blood maybe ? I don't want to go insane doing loads of ovulation tests , we've just been dtd every other day since my period ended. I just hope it happens faster this time. My son who's 5 took us 2 months to conceive. We didn't even try. Has anyone else had bleeding or brown discharge after sex after a miscarriage. Or has anyone had problems with ovulating after a mc. Thanks ladies x

Induce a period*

OP posts:
AMS19 · 02/04/2021 09:45

Hey @CocoLoco88 gosh I'm sorry that's super frustrating! Can the GP prescribe anything to include a period? If not, Have you looked into acupuncture/Chinese medicine? I only say that because I've seen a number of girls on here in a similar situation to you who have found after acupuncture and/or Chinese medicine their period has arrived soon after. I cant even imagine how frustrated and pissed off you must feel with it all! And absolutely rant the hell away on here, that's what we are all here for, the high and the lows!

Hi everyone, it’s really nice to catch up with these messages and see that people have had good news at their scans, so chuffed to see that 🎉

I am now on cd 77 (🤨) following my MC and having a really down morning about it. I’m fed up of waiting for my period 😤 there’s zero happening re ovulation too as you might expect!!

This isn’t new as I had majorly irregular periods (cycles between 3 and 6 months) before getting pregnant and never got a clear answer about why, but I’m struggling a bit with it this morning for some reason 😔

Totally don’t want to bring the mood down but this is such a supportive group and I was hoping it would be OK just to vent a bit here.

Like lots of others have said, while my DH is the sweetest and most supportive, I don’t think he quite gets how much our lives can be taken over by cycles/tracking and the emotional effects...

x

AMS19 · 02/04/2021 09:40

Also @Mellous you realise this is prime time for a Christmas baby 😂😂 ovulation today = 24 Dec due date, ovulation tomorrow = 25 Dec due date. I mean, I'd take it all day long but you have to laugh!

OP posts:
AMS19 · 02/04/2021 09:37

@Mellous oh yes! Test again later, you can see mine was like yours in the morning and peak by the afternoon! I'm definitely feeling twinges on my left ovary side so really hoping I'll ovulate today and see a temp rise tomorrow 🤞🙏

Mellous · 02/04/2021 09:29

Since we are all sharing our tests 😂 I got peak on Cb this morning. Strips still say low but that looks quite high to me?!

@KJLM premom has anything below 70 as low, but it was definitely on the cusp!

OP posts:
AMS19 · 02/04/2021 08:57

@KJLM I think its probably because clear blue measures estrogen as well as LH and most ladies get a estrogen surge pre their lh surge. So your estrogen surge is likely 2-3 days before your lh and hence the different days. The peak on your opk will definitely be the most reliable one to go off but at least you've had some warning!
Yes temping does make it obsessive. I'm only temping for 2 more cycles then taking the summer off to enjoy myself without focusing on getting pregnant constantly

OP posts:
KJLM · 02/04/2021 08:55

@AMS19 just looked again at your picture. Your morning one of 1st April looks pretty high but it says low?

KJLM · 02/04/2021 08:54

Thanks @AMS19. I’ve attached my last cycle with premom but it was a day or two out from ‘peak’ with Clearblue. It’s very strange. I’ll continue my experiment and see how it goes 😂😂

I’ve decided this month not to track bbt because I’m trying to not be as obsessed with it all this month!

AMS19 · 02/04/2021 08:50

@KJLM I don't use clear blue but I would say the key day is when premom gives you the peak. It will become clear so keep testing at least twice a day! I got my peak yesterday and as you can see it came out of nowhere. But absolutely keep DTD regardless! I had to go twice yesterday cause we missed the day before then my peak appeared the next day 🤦‍♀️ so the lack of warning wasn't ideal at all!

@AMS19 I had a negative test at the EPU, but there's obviously isn't as sensitive as a FRER! It does go on for a very long time, and when I think I'm making progress emotionally, something hits me back into the place where I was. Thank you, it feels nice to finally speak to ladies who understand what it's like. You're all incredible x

KJLM · 02/04/2021 08:44

Morning ladies, just catching up. @LauraT94 and @Pettylamby delighted to hear your scans went well!

To the new ladies in the group I’m so sorry you e had to join but the ladies here are lovely and give such good advice.

My question for today is about opks. I’m using clear blue and they obviously give you your smiley faces. I’m also using the easy@ home opks (because I was interested after seeing some of you use them). I’m currently ‘high’ on Clearblue but with the easy @ home I’m ‘low’ when I scan it into premom but ‘high’ on fermometer. Has anyone else run this experiment?😂 I mean I’m obviously going to tell my hubby it’s go time every night until it’s low on all of them (I’ve decided this month we’ll do this rather than every second day- why not give it a go and hopefully still time to recharge!!)

Bunsterbun · 02/04/2021 08:42

@glowingtwig I'm sorry you've had to go through it so many times. They really don't, he is very supportive most of the time but he thinks I need to move forward but I'm finding it difficult to do that. That's so true, hormonally and physically they don't go through what we do. I will definitely try that, thank you for the advice. It sounds like a good way to deal with the time in between! You will get your second baby and they will be so precious ❤️

AMS19 · 02/04/2021 08:33

@Bunsterbun no I couldn't believe I was still getting positive FRERs 6 weeks later! Such a long drawn out process. But...I'm over the other side now and you will be too soon! You've come to the right place xx
