Thanks @AMS19 & @justwant2beamum for the opk tips, they are the super cheap one step ones, like 50 in a pack. I will definitely look into the easy@home ones, now I'm hoping I did ovulate when I got that positive and didn't have a "false start" as we didn't DTD after that day (I wanted to but OH didn't and I didn't want to force it). I'll find out in 10 days or so when AF is due (hopefully AF won't mess me around this cycle).
@Badlydrawngirly I have everything crossed that your squinter sticks my love!!! Keep us posted. I'm resisting the urge to test mega early 😂
I completely agree about people's reactions. Having told a few people about my MC now I've come to two conclusions:
- If they haven't been through it they just have absolutely no way of understanding how challenging it is every day post MC, and how absolutely all-consuming it feels. They either assume you should be over it by now or just don't know what to say to you, so they don't say anything. The only people with whom I've genuinely felt listened to and understood by are the people on these two MN threads
- When I've told someone who has just announced a pregnancy (to basically let them know I can't engage with them right now) they say "oh sorry" and then proceed to complain about their awful morning sickness or some other healthy pregnancy related ailment that I wish I had. It's like...I just told you I lost a baby and your response is to complain that you have morning sickness. Because that's the same.
