Thank you so much @AMS19 your advice is always so helpful. That plan with the milestones sounds very sensible and it's made me feel better already. I think partly why I feel so concerned is that with the first pregnancy I had a gut feeling that everything was going to be fine, like the baby was ok, so when I miscarried I felt like it can't have been an issue with the fetus so must've been me. I know this all sounds a bit crazy.

@Neady1980 I get you, I know you tested also as you were planning to have some drinks, I think it's fair enough if you suspect there's a chance you're pregnant and you want to check before you hit the booze!

As AMS19 says we just need to look for the next milestone (AF due) and see how we go. Sorry to hear your OH is unwell but I bet when you take that test it'll cheer him up.

Let's both try to take it one step at a time. Thank you so much everyone for your advice and support ❤️

@AlbiMix I feel exactly the same way, I got my positive last night on a cheapie, due AF today. I keep going to the loo thinking AF has arrived, I'm even wearing a pad just incase. I've very little symptoms except mild back ache and a little bit of nausea, no tender boobs either. I wanted to do a digital today but OH is visiting his parents again as his Dad isn't well so promised him I'll wait till he gets back.
I wish I had of just waited a few more days before I took a test. We just have to try our best to stay positive and hope for the best. Congratulations on getting your BFP

AMS19 · 10/04/2021 12:56

Oh wow @AlbiMix huge congratulations!!! I totally get how terrifying it must be. But symptoms are no correlation on success of pregnancy. In my pregnancy my symptoms picked up from 7 weeks and got worse and worse, up until my mmc scan at 9+5 which showed the baby had probably died at 7 weeks. So my symptoms were worst after the miscarriage. Also all the stats are hugely in your favour for this to work. As I said to the other girls, break it down into milestones. First milestone is AF due date. Then milestone is 5 weeks and past chemical stage. Then next milestone would be a scan with a heartbeat. These are all only a week or so apart so definitely doable. Write them day in a countdown app and focus only on the next milestone. You've got this xx

Hi ladies. Earlier this week I was feeling really hungry all the time which is pretty much the only pregnancy symptom I had the first time with the MC. Being crazy and impatient, I took a FRER which was faintly positive but the next day a cheapy was firmly negative. Yesterday at 13DPO I tested again with FRER (just in case as I might've had a drink over the weekend) and it was a pretty solid positive (attached).

I know this should be good news, but I'm really struggling to feel good about it because I just can't shake the feeling that it'll be the same as last time when I MC'd. I feel exactly as I did last time (only symptoms hunger and peeing more). Absolutely no tenderness in my boobs, no nausea, nothing. I just have this horrible feeling that I'm in for a repeat and that I need to treat this just as something I have to endure so I can get medical investigations for MCs. I just can't imagine a positive outcome.

I'm so sorry to be like this when I know I should be happy. I just didn't know who else to talk to about my feelings so I hoped it would be ok to share here. Any thoughts, advice much appreciated.

Thank you @AMS19 I was confused. Smile

Neady1980 · 10/04/2021 12:03

@Badlydrawngirly I'm not on any meds, everything they had me on I stopped taking them 2 years ago after my last surgery for endometriosis, they didnt recommend me to stop them but I just wanted to give my body a break, and concentrate on me. I lost weight when I stopped the meds and then started to exercise and lost a bit more

Badlydrawngirly · 10/04/2021 11:51

Thanks everyone.

People are travelling to Greece for treatment so it’s doable, you just need lots of Covid tests! We’ve not done IVF before and I’m a little apprehensive but if that’s what we need to do we will do it.

@Neady1980 I can’t remember if I’ve already asked you but what meds are you on? I feel the same about miracles, it was a miracle we fell pregnant in December but who’s to say we won’t have another one! I think it was just hard to be positive when he basically said the letrozole won’t work for us. My TSH has also risen again so we’re going to up my thyroid meds. It just feels like there’s a problem at every turn!

AMS19 · 10/04/2021 11:05

@wag1987 I would say you're going to ovulate either later today or tomorrow. Definitely DTD again today

@Badlydrawngirly I'm sorry must be horrible to have the pressure. But half of a really good starting point could still mean absolutely fine! Good to get the ball rolling on both maybe? Try naturally in the meantime but get the ivf ball rolling too

Ps ignore my scruffy book, it's where I am keeping my tests for record lol

wag1987 · 10/04/2021 10:43

Question, I did a CB test yesterday and had static face and also positive easy at home test so assumed yesterday was start of peak meaning today is ovulation day. But my ovulation test is darker today than yesterday so does it mean ovulation likely tomorrow or today?

Thanks @Badlydrawngirly.
If your consultant thinks you AMH is still ok then that's a good sign. I'm sure you will have your rainbow baby soon 🌈🌈

I've beaten all the odds hopefully for the 2nd time, my gynae literally said it was a miracle the last time I got pregnant he couldn't believe it so dont give up hope just yet.
I started meditation about 8 weeks ago and I'm convinced that has helped me alot,I'm more relaxed now and although I still overthink things I dont seem to get myself stuck in a rut like I did before xx

AlbiMix · 10/04/2021 10:18

Hey @Badlydrawngirly sorry to hear this about your amh. Have you tried IVF before? I wonder if you're allowed to travel in lockdown for medical reasons, it may be one of the exceptions? In any case it looks like the travel restrict may be easing up and I've read that Greece is keen to get British tourists back so this may help your plans.

Badlydrawngirly · 10/04/2021 10:02

Congratulations @Neady1980 you’re nephew was right! So nice to hear some happy news.

We met with my consultant last night. My amh has halved in the last 3 years. He said it’s still ok but it just feels like I’m seeing my diminishing fertility in black and white. He thinks we should try IVF ASAP. I want to try letrozole first so going to start that today.

I really feel like we’re running out of time now. I’ve been looking at the clinic in Greece again so hoping lockdown will have eased by the time we are ready to go.

Neady1980 · 10/04/2021 09:39

Thanks you all so much, I still cant believe it, I went to the toilet this morning expecting to see AF but obviously wasnt there. So I'm going out today to buy a digital, think I need to see the word pregnant before I believe it 🥰🥰

MSK1 · 10/04/2021 08:47

Congratulations @Neady1980!

DMT1982 · 10/04/2021 08:22

AlbiMix · 09/04/2021 22:48

Yay congrats @Neady1980! So happy for you!

Neady1980 · 09/04/2021 20:41

Thanks @glowingtwig I still cant believe it.

@KJLM I did test a couple of days ago only because my friend gave me cheap tests and I was convinced it was going to be negative but saw the slightest faint line which I thought was an indent. I said I would do a digital tomorrow if AF didnt arrive but because my SIL asked me to have a few drinks I decided to test

KJLM · 09/04/2021 20:33

@Neady1980 good choice!! Ohh that was definitely willpower to hold off testing till now! That’s great!

glowingtwig · 09/04/2021 20:30

Great news @Neady1980 !! Ahh I'm smiling so much at that lovely line!!

Really pleased to hear your results have come back all good @TheDaydreamBelievers ☺️

Neady1980 · 09/04/2021 20:20

@KJLM I decided to stay in tonight and have a bath. I'm not telling anyone just yet. I'm 13/14 dpo AF due tomorrow and I never usually test unless AF is late Smile

KJLM · 09/04/2021 19:59

Lovely news @Neady1980 !! Great start to the weekend!! Enjoy your Chinese (and your SIL can raise a wee glass for you!)

How many dpo is this that you’ve tested?

Neady1980 · 09/04/2021 19:43

@Wag1987 only DTD once 3 days before ovulation as OH went to visit his parents, I ovulated earlier than normal last month

wag1987 · 09/04/2021 19:40

Exciting, how many times did you BD to get your BFP @Neady1980
