Bleeding light, got heavier then positive test? Help

Sorry it's a bit long but want to make sure I don't miss anything that could be important as I'm very confused and can't call my dr til tomorrow.

Also sorry tmi taking about period blood!

7dpo - started spotting very pale pink when I wiped, got a bit excited

8dpo - tested stupidly as was hopeful from the previous days light bleed - negative frer - but when I wiped it was red - felt a bit sad and confused but apparently when still breastfeed (12 month old) you can have a shorter lp so just assumed it was my period and hoped it wouldn't take long to get back to normal as not sure how long the lp has to be for a chance to conceive. Blood then got lighter in colour and amount so felt a bit hopeful again.

9dpo - this morning - wake up do a test as was hopeful and confused, got a very faint but definitely there line (hard to photograph so edited with gamma) - but then when I wiped still very bright red blood (spot in underwear but a good amount when wiping - took several wipes)

Can anyone help, has anyone had similar and what happened?

Could this be super heavy implantation bleed (I haven't bled at all since April 2020 (pill which was stopped in nov and bf)? Or could it be an early chemical but I've always had positive tests then a week or so later bled not bled then had a positive test)

Or could it be something else? I'm panicking ectopic but surely that wouldn't bleed this early anyway? 😞

@Pettylamby when u said full blown period, was it as heavy as what a real period is? Hope u dont mind me asking because I m unsure of my first day of period today. It looks like a normal period to me but without clots, and my cervix feels soft and a bit higher. Not hoping so much though. Prolly just me over analyzing the situation. 😅

@firsttimemummy321 How is the progress if u dont mind me asking?

I’m currently 16 weeks and still bfeeding. My implantation bleeding was like a weird period, quite heavy but also stop and start. I put it down to the hormones and didn’t quite realise I was pregnant until the morning sickness kicked in. Maybe give it a week or so to test again?

Best pic I can get but I'd say it was more visible but still extremely faint for what I'd expect :(

@TalulaBella aw thank you so much for sharing your story and congratulations!!

@Hopefulhedgehog thank you :)

So another faint positive this morning although I'd definitely say darker than before but still super faint (very difficult to show on camera but I can see it more clearly)

Still bleeding but back to very light/spotting only light pinky red when wipe.

I don't understand it was negative before the bleed but surely it would be so much darker by now? (With my first my levels were crazy high even the dr commented it was doubling nearly every day so maybe I have unrealistic expectations of line progression?) 😞

This happened to me. I bled bright red fairly heavy for 2 days and then hardly anything day 3, but mixed with a ton of CM. what made me think it was a VERY odd period was that normally im 5-6 days heavy heavy bleeding with lots of clots and tissue. This was just blood and CM. and then stopped abruptly. Tested like 2 days after and got a squinter. Now im 7+5, and had an early private scan because the bleeding concerned me a little (albeit before I got the positive test) and the confirmed there is defo one in there with a very strong heartbeat! :) I hope this happens for you too! I can see your line :D

firsttimemummy321 · 21/03/2021 14:09

I'm sorry I can't see anything but I am never good at spotting the squinters. Fingers crossed and test again in a couple of days

Genevive123 · 21/03/2021 12:25

It's still really really early to be testing so try and hang on a few days and re-test. Good luck

@24YearsAtTheTapEnd thank you, although I wasn't asking if there was a line, it is very faint and barely able to photograph but I can see it irl.

That's a negative test.

Pettylamby · 21/03/2021 07:17

I got what I thought was a full blown period... Currently 5+2! Looks like implantation! Keep testing and they will probs get darker!

Genevive123 · 21/03/2021 07:15

Hi op!! I've read of quite a few people who get darker blood for implantation bleeding! I see the line😍😍😍
